Neither the North Liberty or the CA post office want to do anything concerning the theft that occurred. I am out sixty dollars but I have learned my lesson. Do not mail anything via USPS because they do not care if your items are stolen or never arrive and they do nothing to fix the situation. I was given the runaround and told to call the corporate headquarters and then told to call the local post office to no avail. The local post office said because a package was delivered on time, there's nothing that they can do about it. So unless you purchase their ridiculous insurance (as though I am supposed to somehow account or be responsible for the screw ups made by the post office), the package you send could in theory be opened, replaced and even though there is absolute conclusive evidence that shows that the package was tampered with, "there's nothing we can do about it," is the response you will get. Corporate told me that "they'd look into it." That's another way of saying don't call us anymore until we call you, if we call you at all. Popcorn doesn't grow heavier with time. I understand that you don't need a PhD to work at the post office but seriously, I ship out a 4 pound box, and the receiver receives a 10 pound box (he was there immediately to receive the package); let's see 10 pounds minus 4 pounds, after the intense algebraic formula calculation; it can be gathered that there is a 6 pound difference that happened between North Liberty and CA. I didn't get as much as an apology for my package being tampered with and stolen. Show some accountability or just be honest and warn your customers that their packages run the very probable risk that they will be tampered with and stolen, and that insurance in highly recommended.

The library is new, nice, clean and organized. What really stood out was that they also act as a sort of community center where I saw needy people come in for an honor system, food, and pantry. The meeting room itself was great! Super clean. Parking is plentiful. Signage to find your spot is on point. No complaints! My kiddos frequent this library often with their grandparents, as well as in the summer with SPARKS Camp and it is a top notch resource for the Coralville community! The programing is great, the building itself is well maintained, its selection is fabulous. Overall, the Coralville Public Library is a staple. Whether you need to check out a book or plan a meeting-- check out CPL.

However, the North liberty community library has a very friendly staff, a nice selection of computers to work on, and they also participate in a program which allows you to electronically borrow e-books and audiobooks. While it isn't the biggest, the most historic, or the most beautiful on the inside, it has everything you need in the library with small-town charm.

The museum hasn't changed much since I last visited 10+ years ago, but that's okay. Rusty the Sloth and the polar bear in the gift shop are staples. Macbride Hall houses the Department of Anthropology at U of I. Wouldn't it be cool to see these artifacts every day as a student? The pair of lions in Mammal Hall were placed in an enclosed case in 202 (previously not enclosed) and a nice mural was painted behind them. From what I could tell, that's the most recent update to one of the museum's exhibits. Museum is free, but a donation is suggested. Please don't skip the donation box located near the guestbook in the gift shop. As indicated in a previous review, some of the exhibits have become quite 'well-loved.' Interactive features no longer work, particularly in the Hall of Birds. Mammal Hall is my most favorite, but there's so much to learn from each area of the museum. The museum covers 3 floors of Macbride Hall. Take the stairs and work those quads! Elevator available as well. Due to the summer season museum hours are a little different, so I'd call ahead or check the website for details. Parking during the summer on the street is easy to find. $1.50/hour. Highly recommend!

Once you get over the parking and charging for printing, this is a far superior option with little offices and cozy reading nooks that you just don't get in Coralville. Really love this layout

This is really the only library I've ever really known. I'm a two decade user of the ICPL. And…read more.. it's like a fine wine guys. The older you get, the better it gets. As a kiddo-- story time, summer reading programs, movie nights, computer games to play and a plethora of toys scattered throughout the secluded children's section! Not to mention books, movies, video games, puzzles and more to bring home. As a college kid-- a quiet, air conditioned spot that has newer movies as well as video games to checkout for free. (Take that Redbox. And you, Netflix for not having the movie or season I reallllly wanted to watch!) They also loan equipment like bluray players, laptops and hotspots. Plus, study rooms on the second level are available. As an adult-- THEY LOAN ART, ya'all! A Digital Media Lab also lives here with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite Software. And their digital library is impressive with Kanopy, Local Music Project, RBdigital and more! Parking CAN be an issue-- I'd recommend the Dubuque Street Ramp, which is a block away. First hour free. The staff at the ICPL is wonderful. So helpful and knowledgable, with a smile worn MOST of the time. Also, don't forget a reusable bag for all your checked out goodies!

I've driven through Iowa City plenty of times but never got a chance to really explore it until…read morerecently. I absolutely love this city, it's clean, easy to drive through, walkable and has a cute and cozy downtown. Many buildings are in great condition and has great selection of food and restaurants. Never really any traffic, great gas prices.

Another in the incredible list of family friendly and hilarious things to do up the Amana Colonies…read more Winterfest comes once a year, generally at the end of January and is a chance to come celebrate the cold with both warm beverages and delicious chili! In standard a man of fashion the businesses coordinate the day and have festival type activities 4 people. The highlights of this year, 2016, where the marshmallow and pretzel chocolate dipping that occurred at the chocolate haus, the wine and beer walk, at the end of which you received a delightful glass, and the ever famous ham put - the Amana rendition of the shot put with a frozen Christmas ham. In addition, the firefighters of the Amana Colonies hold a fundraiser where they make chili and sell it in some delightful mugs for $10. The mugs are seriously awesome, and are definitely meant for eating out of, rather than sipping a beverage. Something that was particularly cool, and that we would consider if we want moving in the near future, would be purchasing the 12 years set of mugs for 100 bucks. The chili was quite tasty and particularly good as it was about 25 degrees outside. Another unexpected highlight of the time here was our discovery of wine infused hot chocolate from one of the wine and cheese places in the village. It was absolutely incredible! It was something like a half cup of wine - 4 cups of milk and add any hot chocolate that we desired. It was really, really good and something will be trying at home. Other things to see included the slap shot of a pork chop, ice carving with a chainsaw, and our kids favorite activity, playing with marbles and the small wooden ramps in the information house. As is generally the case, this is a great place to go and spend a few hours with the family or just with friends. You'll find something you didn't know you liked, and probably have a good reason to come back next year! Well played Amana Colonies, well played.
