This recreational water park is a recent addition to the property in Maranguape (near Fortaleza) where Ypióca cachaça has been distilled for decades, and where the Ypióca cachaça Museum is located. Like other recreational parks they charge an entrance fee per person (discount for children under 12 and elders over 60, so bring ID). You can buy an all-inclusive day pass, or a cheaper basic pass where you pay extra for each activity. They give each person a bar-coded plastic card on a neck cord to record extra-cost activities, which can be a hassle to manage for a large family with children. The park is relatively expensive for the area and for what they offer. It's no Beach Park (an older and more expensive nearby park), but you can get a reasonable value for money if you go for the whole day and take advantage of all the activities offered on the all-inclusive pass. Young children can splash around in the water cheaper elsewhere, but older children and teens will enjoy things like the zip lines, the towed-cable wakeboards, the standing paddleboards, and the high-speed Banana Boat. For adults there's a decent restaurant and free samples of cachaça and caldo de cana. Consider the makeup of your group and plan ahead to spend the whole day to get best value for money here. For tourists the park is clean, but a bit rough around the edges. If language is a concern, there are some signs in English, but it would be difficult to find anyone on the staff who speaks English. That's normal for the area, so should be expected. read more
