This ramen here was so good! It was a rainy day in Sydney so I walked to the Westfield mall to find this restaurant. It's a bit difficult to find on the fifth floor of the mall but that's because it is so large. I ordered the Tori Shoyu and LOVED the broth! There was so much depth to it and it wasn't too salty or spicy. Although I alway wish for more, the portion was a decent size. I realized that there are more Ippudos in the US after eating here so I am making plans to visit more!

Was craving for ramen after a long 51 cruise that served "okay" Asian cuisines. We happened to be walking around this area and decided to pop in for some warm soup. It is quite tricky to find this place as it's in the Westfield mall on the 5th floor. I don't think I would've found it if I didn't read it from another Elite. This mall is like a maze to me! Luckily we found it in no time tucked in a corner ish. The place was pretty bustling, but there weren't a wait time. The place didn't looked that busy, but the servers were all over the place. Took them a minute to realized we needed to place the order. We shared a communal table and enjoyed our meal. I ordered the Akamaru Shinjai and my partner ordered 3 bao buns. He had one of each - pork belly, pulled chicken, and pork. My bowl of ramen tasted fantastic and I was literally slurping every string of noodles and every drop of soup! The bao on the other hand was a little disappointment. I'm always skeptical about the bao being anything other than pork belly. Pork belly is always my fav, but he wanted to try it out. He, too, said if he had to do it all over again he would've ordered all pork belly. Overall it satisfied our tummy or so I thought it did. I didn't feel too well the next day. I thought I ate too much or something, but come to realized that I had food poisoning. I was throwing up the next two days and it wasn't a pleasant experience. I felt like I was on my death bed. Now I'm traumatized.

I absolutely adore Ippudo - it's a haven for ramen enthusiasts. The service exudes warmth and friendliness, and I must say, the bartender's welcoming demeanor added to the overall experience. The ambiance at Ippudo perfectly complements the delicious ramen.

Ippudo is a Japanese ramen chain. Our first encounter was 10 years ago in Kyoto and since then we've tried many Ippudo restaurants in different cities in Japan (Tokyo, Osaka, etc) and the USA (CA). We didn't hesitate to try it in Sydney Australia. This one is located in a Westfield Mall on the dinning floor with many other eateries and restaurants. Good space and ambience, service is always friendly as typical in Australia. We ordered the bonito tonkotsu ramen, akamaru ramen, katsu pork with curry, pulled pork bun, and pork belly bun. The ramen choices were rather limited because I didn't see any miso or shoyo broth varieties, only tonkotsu. The pork buns are Chinese style open-mouthed, I only saw them on the menu here, a nice touch catering to local population. Ramen was good, pretty standard Ippudo quality. Recommended if you happen to be in the area and in the mood for tonkotsu ramen and katsu dishes.

Yum yum. I wanted ramen & soup on our 1st night here after a 15 hrs flight. Service is good. Location is very close to world square/ food court .

First let me begin...I am not a ramen expert. I like Asian cuisine generally. Wife and I are visiting Sydney and was looking for Ramin near our hotel. We are from Florida,USA. Very nice restaurant with several seating options. We picked family style, so I could view the proper technique of eating soup with sticks! There were plenty of experts seated nearby. The first item ordered was a prawn bun for sharing and it was delicious. Then I ordered spicy ramen deluxe with pork. It was great and not too spicy. Temperature hot as it should be. My wife chose the vegi ramen which she enjoyed. Servers were very helpful and their English was more than adequate. In summary, an enjoyable dinner that was fun and did not break the bank.

There's definitely something different with their tonkotsu broth....it was really, really good! We've been to the other Ippudo's and I can honestly say that all of them are different, but at the same token... all of them are the same. I know that doesn't make sense, but their consistency with their classic tonkotsu broth is very impressive. Highly recommend trying this place out. It can really get busy, so be prepared to wait.

I had been wanting to try Ippudo's ramen for a while and this location was convenient for lunch. They're in the Westfield mall on the 5th floor. It's a popular spot - by noon there was a line up. The dining area is quite large, with big communal tables. I was very happy to see an iced tea option that was not sweetened! If you visit at lunch there are some good value sets that range from $11-17. That will get you a ramen if your choice, a small salad and potentially a small appetizer. I had the spicy tonkotsu, and the Mister had the Bonito version. Both cane with pork belly and well cooked noodles. I liked my creamy broth with a bit of kick to it. Beware - the bonito version is really fishy smelling. The gyoza that came with our set were nothing special but the salad was fresh and had a nice wasabi tinged dressing. Would return.

First time having Ippudo and it was pretty good. I just thought the price was a bit too pricey but it's definitely a lot better than the ramen I would have in Rowland Heights. I went a little early and barely manage to avoid the wait. They have a lot of people and understandably so since it's in Westfield. I thought the broth was tasty, the noodles were pretty good, but the pork could be a little better. I didn't have karaage but the person next to me had it and it smelled great and looked great...just a FYI because I almost ordered it just from the person next to me. haha overall, I'll consider coming back but there are actually a lot of ramen options in Sydney so I'm not in a hurry to come back.

When is it not good? Service was on point - friend and I came through during the lunch rush and we got a table as staff were clearing tables efficiently. Flavor of the broth still hits home and the meat in our ramen was hearty that I couldn't finish the second piece ! What fell a little short was the gyoza - only because they were quite small. Otherwise it's always a good time at Ippudo !

I am tired of going, only to face a 2 hour wait for a table. Nothing to drink. Nowhere to sit. Just stand like a wanker for 2 hours for $11 noodles. Out of your mind. Bye.

Visited this ramen spot during my visit to Australia, and I honestly wasn't expecting much given the other foods I had been eating during the trip. But-- I was pleasantly surprised! This is located in West Field mall, but it can get crowded! There was a pretty long line but I would say we got through within 30 minutes or so of waiting. We were seated at the bar area and the hardest part was choosing which flavor of ramen to get. They all sounded so good but I went with the Karaka-men and added bamboo and an egg. I cleared the entire bowl and soup. I tried to savour the last few bites because honestly this might be one of the best ramen joints I've hit up..and living in San Mateo, I've been to plentttyyyy!

I have been wanting to try Ippudo for quite some time. This popular Japanese ramen chain has locations all over Asia, along with a smattering of stores outside this continent in London, New York and Sydney. My travels led me to many of the locales in which there is an Ippudo, but I was unable to try it out until I visited the Westfield Sydney location when I was traveling in Australia. The restaurant is located on the 5th floor of this mall. This floor is the same one that one of the mall's food courts is located in, but this is actually a full-scale restaurant. At the front of the restaurant you will find the restaurant's bar along with a couple of dining tables outside the ramen shop. There is a waiting area here to be seated inside. I was traveling solo so I was wondering if they had any space since the restaurant was quite full. Fortunately, they do have counter seating for this very reason so I was able to find a space. The interior of the restaurant is beautifully modern. Ippudo is known for its tonkotsu ramen as it originated in Fukuoka. The menu here is quite sizable as it doesn't just serve ramen like the other popular Japanese tonkotsu ramen chain, Ichiran. Here you can find other offerings like gyoza, rice bowls, salads, steamed buns and even tonkotsu sandwiches. Given the mall location, I thought the food prices were decent. Comparable to having a bowl of ramen in Seattle when factoring the USD-AUD conversion rates. The basic ramen bowls are in the $15-17 range. Add a few dollars if you want an egg or additional meat topping. For my meal, I opted for the limited time ramen offering on special called Ippudo Kuro ($15). To pair, I got an order of crab frits ($7) and a glass of Sake One ($6). The ramen took a while to come out so I was glad that I ordered an entree (Australian name for appetizer) and drink. Sake One is an Australian produced sake that is made locally. I thought it was pretty good, though it tastes different from the Japanese sakes I have had previously. It tasted more like a regular wine to me. And though the crab frits, which are mini crabs that are deep fried are best eaten with a glass of Japanese beer, they worked perfectly fine with the sake. This is a great bar food offering if you are here just for a drink. The crabs are crunchy and accompanied by a spicy mayo and lemon. As for the ramen, I enjoyed it as it had a nice rich broth. The noodles in this dish were different from the usual slippery noodles as they were thick. They look almost like udon, but the taste was reminiscent of Okinawan soba. I wouldn't call this the best ramen that I have had, but it was above average. If you are looking for a bowl of ramen in the Sydney CBD, Ippudo is where I would recommend going. It has nice ambiance, prices are reasonable and the menu here has plenty to choose from. The offerings go beyond just serving ramen.
Dec 26th 2025 Food - solid ! Chicken Katsu was too good ! The kids enjoyed their ramen ! Service - took our order promptly and helped with suggestions Atmosphere - chill with just the right number of patrons - fun relaxed vibe read more
My daughter reminded me that we have been to their Berkeley, CA location. Quality/Quantity - They had specials, but they did not honor any of them... Maybe take down the signs? Chicken bun - Got one of each = Chicken, pulled pork, ebi. All were good, but small portions. Promotion = 3 for $21AUD. Tori Shoyu Ramen - Good, but barely enough for one person. Small portions. Beer tasters - Orion Black & Suntory Malt; both were good. The Orion Black won! Condiments - Good selection, but did not want to take away from their signature flavors, so did not use or try. Atmosphere - Cool decor, see pictures. Beautiful bar, but no one was sitting there? Chef bar seating, perfect for single people. Semi open kitchen, sushi bar open kitchen. Open 7 days a week from 11:30am to 8pm, until 7:30pm on Sundays. Yelp hours differ. My picture of posted hours and their website has more accurate business hours. Service - Okay. Price - $49AUD, $32US, but left hungry... Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1985 and with your 12 Australian locations and with all of your world wide locations. 2008 Opened your NY, US location. 2010 Ranked #1 on Yelp in NY for US Coast to coast restaurant review. #3 in 2011. We came here for lunch and really enjoyed it! It was like stepping back into Japan when we lived there. From the greeting of "Irrashaimase!!" to the excellent service, we had a great experience. Hubby and I ordered the tonkotsu ramen. He got the spicy version; me, the standard. The egg was cooked perfectly with a soft yolk. Broth was delicious. Noodles had just the right firmness. We sat at a large shared table and were happy with that experience as well. Overall, we had a great experience at zippier and would definitely come back! read more

I am sure there are other great Ramen places in Sydney but this is my go to because its convenient, so fast, and excellent quality. I have not left without finishing everything in my bowl as well as either an extra noodle serving or an appetizer (gyoza...karage...char siu bau...all definite winners). And I enjoy the communal tables as well. I've heard some ridiculously banal conversations comparing average starting salaries at tech companies to seeing a single diner pull out a laptop, a phone, AND a switch all at once to "consume" while consuming. The mall makes for a wide customer base. read more

Ipuddo is located amongst the food court on the 5th floor of Westfield Sydney and despite it being a Monday, there was still a ridiculous lunch rush. With long, communal tables, our small party of 2 was seated intimately adjacent to other parties. I recommend their pork belly buns! The fatty, succulent pork belly was savory and flavorful, only made all the more enjoyable served inside white, pillowy buns. The akamaru shinaji ramen was served with thin, firm noodles Hakata-style. The flavorful and rich tonkotsu broth came with garlic oil, shallots, black mushrooms, blended miso paste, and pork belly so tender that it dissolved in my mouth. It was quite possibly the best ramen I've ever had. We were so glad that we dined at 11am. By the time we left, there was already a long queue outside the restaurant! read more

I'm not even a ramen fanatic but they've got some good noods! They have seasonal dishes so we just tried the special menu ramen and rice dishes which were overly salty but still really delicious. It's surprisingly delicious and delivers full-on restaurant style atmosphere in a mall. Service was friendly and fast. Kinda pricey for what it is at $15-20 for some ramen but it's pretty darn tasty and not all that surprising, considering where it's located. I'm weirdly obsessed w their sesame grinder.. it smells and makes everything ridiculously aromatic and instantaneously makes me drool. Seriously, why is this the first time I've seen one of these?! I feel so deprived. hahaaa read more

Ecstatic to learn that there was an Ippudo in Sydney, I knew I had to have a bowl of hot and savory Japanese comfort food, and the warm summer night couldn't deter me from my decision either. I loved the Akamaru Modern from Ippudo New York, so I tried the Akamaru Tamago ($19) here in Sydney. The Akamaru Tamago is the Akamaru Shinaji (Akamaru Modern equivalent in NY) with a soft-boiled egg. The tonkotsu broth was rich, salty, delicious, and had very bold flavors. The garlic oil wasn't very prominent as I hoped, and the broth thickened near the end of my meal, so unfortunately, I couldn't finish it. The noodles were nice and chewy, and you have the option to ask for hard, medium, or soft noodle texture. The soft-boiled egg was cooked perfectly, yielding a great creamy and gooey yolk. And the pork belly was good, but not as soft and tender as I liked. The pork bun entree ($4 each) was small, but delicious. The slice of braised pork was tender with crispy edges, and the buns were soft and chewy. Although small, the pork bun was a prefect balance of sweet, salty, and savory flavors. The green tea lamington dessert ($9) was an interesting twist to the traditional cake. The green tea flavor was very subtle, the cake was so moist, and the red bean filling was good. It came with a small scoop of green tea ice cream, which was on point for flavor but too icy in texture. I was glad there was no queue at Ippudo Sydney, like the outrageous one at NY. The restaurant is on the 5th floor of Westfield Sydney, so even though the shopping mall closes at 6:30pm, Ippudo remains open until 10pm or 11pm. Service was very friendly, and the restaurant was very spacious. Though the food was delicious, albeit expensive, at Ippudo Sydney, it wasn't quite as memorable as my first experience at Ippudo NY. read more
Nothing like craving ippudo and finding it on your travels. It definitely hit the spot that I needed to be hit! We dont have Ippudo in Dallas. I eat it on my travel when I find it because it is one of my favorite ramen ever!!! I get the same thing everywhere I go. The black garlic tonkotsu with medium chewy noodles. BOMB! you can control the chewy level of noodles. read more

For a mall food court this place is legit. Excellent ramen and delicious pork buns. Some of the best ramen I've had.
We decided to try out Ippudo Sydney for a mid-afternoon snack. Due to the time of day, there was no wait, but we could see plenty of table seats and solo seats around the restaurant. The ramen here is much much better than Ippudo NYC which we had a few months ago. Ippudo in the US seems to use an extreme amount of salt to achieve "flavor". While the broth here is truly rich and creamy and full of umami. The noodles were also cooked al dente so they lasted to the bottom of the bowl without getting mushy. Service is quick and efficient at the bar, and the girls serving were nice. read more
It took them a while to get our order. In the meantime, something came out smelling absolutely delicious to the table next to ours. We decided to be cliche and "have what they're having." It was a good choice... the ramen we ordered was slightly spicy and very flavorful. We also got two buns, prawn and pulled pork and both were well balanced, flavorful, and delicious. read more
We came at about 11:50 and were seated immediately. 20 mins later there was a long line outside that didn't get any shorter for the next hour. Food took a long time to come out. The ramen and fried chicken were delicious. I'd come back. Seems like they don't let you make any alterations to the items listed. read more

We know of this chain from other countries and their reputation has always been stellar but this branch was lacking. Broth was excessively salty, meat was tough and our server was very inattentive even refusing to split the bill. Many other better choices in Sydney. I hope parent company improves this branch. read more

I'm normally a big fan of Ippudo. This location in Sydney left me disappointed. It's one of the nicest locations i've been to though. Big open space, everything looks new. Getting there early was key ... by the time we finished, a huge line had formed. I was so happy they had the steamed buns on the menu. The pork bun and chicken bun were great and worth getting. The shrimp was surprisingly my favorite. Get all despite being a bit pricey. Ramen was so-so. The broth wasn't memorable. read more
We ordered 3 prawn tempura buns, Ramen with extra noodles, soda boba drink, and cake all for 29 USD!! The food was really amazing, as I was in love with the prawn tempura buns with a curry flavor sauce and the soda boba drink with spongy boba texture. The service was great too. What a hidden gem in this Westfield mall. read more

I have gone to multiple Ippudo locations worldwide and I would say this one does not meet the bar. They don't have the extensive menu offered at other locations. The marinated soft boil egg is usually my favorite part of the meal but it was barely marinated. The flavor of the broth was also bland and not full of the rich flavor I am used to. The buns were pretty good. They did not offer he dipping ramen or hot tea or the skillet noodles. I would rather eat elsewhere while in Sydney with all of their options. read more
It's something different, not your typical Japanese restaurant Your most likely going to stand in line to get a seat and you maybe have to share Some quick observations: Portions are small Prices are on the higher side Food came out pretty fast I like how the menu has items I haven't seen elsewhere Nothing blew me away though But I didn't try the ramen so maybe I'm missing out on the best part read more
We were still hungry after our Din Tai Fung breakfast. I felt like I was in food heaven (malls in America do not have comparable quality food courts) and our next stop was Ippudo. I'm generally not a fan of super skinny noodles but Ippudo is an institution and I wasn't going to let this opportunity pass. The restaurant could consider printing some more menus. The ones they passed out had frayed edges and were falling apart. That's a minor presentation suggestion since it clearly did not affect the food quality. We ordered two bowls of noodles: Akamaru Tamago and Karaka Men. Both were tasty and I think I liked the Karaka Men slightly more given the spice even though the Akamaru is the signature dish. These noodles were not cheap but they were delicious. read more
Ippudo, renowned for ramen in Asia and New York just arrived in Sydney today...so how does it stack up to Sydney's other ramen offerings? Pretty damn well! Found just outside the most ridiculous food court ever in Westfield this place is hip, fresh, and lively. It's definitely the coolest ramen shop in town. Although if I were to change one thing it would be to name this place Ippudough cause you're gonna be spending some money for ramen here. At Ippudo you get 3 choices of ramen: Shiromaru, Akamaru, and Ippudo Karaka Men. Shiromaru is a plain tonkatsu broth, Akamaru has miso paste and garlic oil and Ippudo Karaka Men has spicy miso and ground pork. Prices range from $15 - $21 depending on the ramen you get. Once you order you can choose noodles that are soft, normal, or hard. On top of that you can order sides ranging from eggs, seaweed, shallots, mushrooms, and more meat. My friend ordered the Shiromaru Chashu and I ordered the Akamaru Chashu. I have to admit, I liked the broth in the Shiromaru better but the Akamaru broth wasn't bad. You get two big pieces of chashu, but the chashu was simply OK...Zundo does chashu better. The noodles are pretty thin in comparison to the other ramen shops in town, but they taste oh so good and the texture is just right (got normal.) We both ordered Nitamagu as a topping, and don't let its looks deceive you because this egg is the bomb! It looks like a hardboiled egg but it's soft on the inside, so basically if a hardboiled egg and a softboiled egg decided to have a baby it would be this. On top of ramen we grabbed some Ippudo pork buns and Ippudo gyoza. Ippudo gyoza good....portions bad. Ippudo pork bun OK...portion OK. All in all we spent $53..for ramen. So yes, this place is pretty tasty and a welcome addition to the Sydney ramen scene but don't expect it to be cheap. You're paying for the vibe, service, and the quality. Ippudo! read more
EVENT: Just landed in Sydney and waiting to check into our hotel! Love the Ippudo NY... and sooooooo glad there's one in Sydney (thanks to my helpful yelp app!). It was also a rainy day... we needed some shelter shelter while we wait... the MALL! Great idea! LOCATION: Located inside the mall... I think the 4th floor? Maybe 5th floor? Ah! Forgetss! How about the food court? But, it has its own dining area where you are served by a server. SERVICE: there's a massive line for Ippudo. Line up. The line goes by fast. We waited like 15 minutes - wasn't too bad watching and staring other people eating. Haha! FOOD: (1) Pork Ramen - two slices of pork, delish broth! mmmMm! 5 stars! (2) Tofu soup - the picture looked MASSIVE... it came in a small little bowl. 5 stars! OVERALL: Will come back for the shelter, mall, and of course ippudo!! 5 stars! read more
Another great Ippudo location! I've been to the Ippudo locations in both SF and NY, and this one is definitely comparable to theirs! This location was a little hard to find (for me) since it was on the 5th floor of Westfield, but once I found it, I was surprised that it was pretty big! Luckily, it wasn't packed, so my friend and I were able to be seated right away. I got the Akamaru with egg. The ramen and broth were delicious, and the egg was a little more cooked than what I would normally like. Overall, this is another great Ippudo location in Sydney!! read more
I eat a lot of ramen, and the was the best ramen I've ever had! We arrived jet lagged and hungry after a 15 hour flight at 12:30pm on a Sunday and we waited about 5 minutes to be seated. We ordered the Ippudo prawn katsu bun to start and it was amazing - tender on the inside and crunchy on the outside. But the real highlight was the ramen - I had the Karaka-men which according to our server was a spicier version of their signature tonkatsu ramen. The broth, the noodles, and the pork were all perfect. The only gotcha was that the serving size was small and it didn't didn't include an egg or extra toppings by default. Also as typical in Australia, the prices were astronomical compared to what you'd pay for ramen in the US or even in Japan. read more

I'm a repeat customer and there are a few reasons why. 1. Pork buns - total comfort food, total fatty pork goodness 2. Ramen requests for extra hard, hard, medium and soft noodles are a thing - I like mine chewy and not soggy, so I appreciate this 3. Rich and flavoursome soups, great for slurping up some ramen! 4. Super friendly waiters 5. Lastly, they open until late (most nights last order's around 10:30) They're pricey. So check your account balance and try it if you value all those things I just mentioned. read more

One thing I must point out is the waiting line for this restaurant is extremely long! But fear not, the service is great and it took as little as 10 minute to get seated. The menu is great and the food is tasty. There is a lot to look at in the menu. My specific visit today in at Ippudo Sydney is for ramen. The ramen is really good and delicious, not too salty. One of the best thing I have to say is the egg itself. I personally picked the Karaka-Men Ramen (which is has spices for those who likes a little bit of hot flavour) with all the combination. The combination gives you extra meat, mushroom, bamboo shoot, one flavour egg and additional seaweed for +$9 on the dish. Personally, the combination bonus has nothing special except the egg. The egg is really delicious; definitely add it for an extra $2 (at the time of writing). This is a great restaurant with delicious ramen and I think is worth the wait for its fine Japanese cuisine and service. read more
Ordered the Soba noodles in seafood soup. Was quite nice, but a little bit pricey. Clean tasting soup, good noodles, not much meat though, one piece of chicken, and 2 scallops with half an egg. Tasted pretty good. Will have to try their regular ramen next time. Modern looking decor, a bit of a wait to get a seat read more

History
Established in 1985.
Ippudo was established in Japan by the company's founder Shigemi Kawahara in 1985. With over 60 restaurants in Japan and now New York and much of Asia, Ippudo opened its first store in Sydney in December 2012, with more on the way. Our signature tonkotsu (pork bone) broth is native to our birthplace in Hakata, Japan, and we're delighted to bring this same dish and many others to Sydney and beyond.

Went to new Japanese ramen restaurant at Central park last week The restaurant is located at backyard Central park shopping centre and everything so new still. If you prefer to eat outside, there are some tables. We wanted to eat there but it wasn't good weather so we decided to eat inside. Their inside decollation is very unique... red, black and white colour bases, lots of different language display and millions of the spoons (it calls ' Renge') hang on the wall. It is really spectacular!! And of course the shop is very clean and tidy inside and the staffs are ready to help you if you have any question about menu like I did. We ordered some entrées and two ramens. The entrees were nice timing to serve so we did not need to hold hungry belly so long. One of the entrée was potato salad. It was really tasty and good portion. I reckon they use Japanese mayo and its really good match with potato, cucumber and carrot. The potato salad was really fresh so its really good start. I am not vegetarian but I felt like to eat ramen without any meat taste. Lucky they have vegetarian ramen called ' Shoujin Ramen With Kakiage' so I ordered. To be honest, appearance of dish is not good impression for me when the staff bought it on the table. The Ramen is looks very very simple and I almost regret my choice. But from the first mouthful, I became so happy and was very surprised. The soup has lots of vegetable favour especially I could feel so much Shitake (Japanese mushroom) extracts whole of my mouth. Kakiage is Japanese vegetable tempura. When I dipped them into the soup and bit... it was just amazing. I never have such yummy vegetarian meal experience in my life. That was really great to know!! read more

I have been there couple times and my one of favorite Japanese restaurant in CBD. As I am Japanese, every time I come back Japan, I never forget to go Ippudo branch. Ippudo is one of the popular ramen group companies in japan and we can find them many different locations. Good thing for ippudo is we can find same taste and same services from any Ippudo groups. And here Sydney, We can find same yummy taste and same service level in Ippudo. Just last Saturday I again went to there and had good time with my friends. My friends loves Ippudo ramen so do I.. we are big fun of Ippudo. I always order Shiromaru Special because I can get everything in the one bowl... eggs, chashu, seaweed, black mushrooms and bamboo shoots... I love these topping. I found out that sometime hakata style ramen is very stinky maybe because of pork oil, which I hate but Ippudo never disappoint me.. soup is white but almost clear.. taste is simple but deep.. no stinky pork smell.. just perfectly cooked. It is exactly same taste with original Ippudo ramen in Japan. Egg is half- cooked and nice soy sauce taste.. break egg and mix with soup.. it is so good. Chashu ( bbq pork) is melt on the tongue and you have to be careful to eat otherwise its disappear in the mouth. haha Everybody can enjoy anytime in Ippudo.. Staff is so friendly and warmth every time we are in with professional high Japanese style customer service... oh you will surprise that.. Atmosphere is fantastic with fancy modern furniture and nice quiet music so we can use any occasions I think. I am really glad to be here in Sydney and meet again true Japanese Ramen! read more

My favorite place in SYD. I love Japanese food and I always crave to find nice Japanese restaurant. I knew Ippudo opened since couple years ago and heard they are really nice from somewhere all the time. I finally had the chance to have a dinner at Ippudo and I am totally into them now. Ippudo is well known as Ramen Restaurant... so I actually did not expect much quality for any of the side dishes. But I was totally wrong.. Ippudo is different with other Ramen Restaurants.. Of course Ramen is outstanding but side dishes were awesome as well. We ordered Ippudo pork bum, Goma Q, and Ippudo karaage chicken from the side dish menu. All of them were so yum but my favorite was Karaage chicken. Karaage is Japanese style Deep fried chicken. I've never had such tender and tasty Karaage in my life... just extreme perfection!! Especially I was drinking beer and it was my best collaboration really.. awesome! I could go back there just for Ippudo Karaage haha-- I love their customer service as well .. the service is exceptional and has higher standard than any other Japanese Ramen restaurants! They quickly offered us the seat and served us some water. They are very kind and helpful when I did not know about Japanese's special spices or stuff. Food delivery was also just on time so we were never left starved waiting.. The restaurant is very modern and so tidy and nice jazz music surround you. Any occasion is suitable I think..such as friend dinners, a date, family dinners and solo dinner even! They never disappoint us. read more

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ippudo Sydney, and I must say it was an incredible experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy ambiance. The menu offered a wide selection of authentic Japanese ramen dishes, and I opted for their signature Tonkotsu ramen. The presentation of the dish was impressive, and the flavors were simply out of this world. The rich and creamy pork broth was perfectly balanced, and the noodles had the ideal texture. The toppings were fresh and added a delightful crunch to every bite. It was evident that the ingredients were of the highest quality, and the attention to detail in each bowl was commendable. The staff at Ippudo Sydney were attentive and knowledgeable, making excellent recommendations based on my preferences. The service was prompt, and my meal arrived quickly. The portion sizes were generous, and I left feeling completely satisfied. One aspect that stood out to me was the overall ambiance of the restaurant. The modern and stylish decor created a relaxed atmosphere, and the open kitchen allowed me to witness the skilled chefs in action. The staff's professionalism and enthusiasm added to the enjoyable dining experience. In conclusion, Ippudo Sydney exceeded my expectations in every way. The exceptional quality of the food, attentive service, and inviting atmosphere make it a must-visit for ramen lovers. I highly recommend Ippudo Sydney to anyone seeking an unforgettable Japanese dining experience. read more

I am Ippudo ramen lover.. Since I visited Japan and tried original Ippudo ramen in Hakata, I am really into Ippudo ramen. I love Japanese Ramen but especially Ippudo ramen is the best ramen for me. We can eat real Hakata Ippudo ramen in Sydney now so I feel really lucky Last time, I went to Ippudo and I ordered couple of entrée dish from the limited offer and of course my favorite " Shiromaru tamago ramen". As usual the ramen was fantastic and I enjoyed lots.. but I also enjoyed the entrees too "Salmon sushi with spicy mentai mayo" and " Salmon tofu nugget". I love Salmon and I know Japanese are really good at Salmon dish.. they never disappoint me.. Salmon sushi was very cute surface and detailed .It is really good match with mentai mayo. Mixing with special soy source was really great as well. It was good start... next we had " salmon tofu nugget".. tofu...?! Actually I could not feel any tofu at all... which is really good..just perfectly mixed with salmon. It really yummy healthy... we dipped them into the yuzukosho mayo.. oh..really nice.. yuzukosho mayo become my favorite dip sauce ever!! These two salmon dishes are limited edition so I am not sure when they stop to serve but I am pretty sure they never disappoint you. Better check out before disappear!! read more

Very comfortable and enjoyable time in Ippudo yesterday. I love Japanese style ramen. taste is totally different from Chinese, Vietnamese , Korean and thai... especially kind of soup is unique flavor from others. There are different type of soup taste in Japan.. and Ippudo's signature ramen is Hakata style Tonkotsu Ramen. I love Tonkotsu ramen cuz more deep taste and lots of favor than any other type of ramen. I tried couple of ramen's shop in SYD but ippudo is #1 so far. Ippudo ramen.. I can feel lots of flavors from the soup... noddle, chashus, eggs, all other garnish are perfectly match... its just ramen but it is one bowl of heaven. Atmosphere is also nice and very stylish.. totally different with other restaurants. There are good light illumination, nice jazz sounds and cosmopolitan style pictures on the wall.. open style kitchen and We could see where they actually cook for us... but no noisy and comfortable to be there.. they have good customer service... staffs are all friendly, welcome and warmth. They are very helpful if I am a question. I was really good relaxed.. almost being my home. I will be difinity come back again and cannot wait to eat their amazing ramen. read more

My friend and I had a girl's dinner at Ippudo at this Monday and we had a great night. To be honest, I totally disagreed to have dinner at Ramen Japanese restaurants with my friend, I remembered when I went to other Ramen restaurants, there were busy, noisy and they had dodgy atmosphere, so I did not enjoy to chat with my friends... Ramen restaurents are more likely as an easy quick dinner destination for me. But.... BUT!!! Ippudo has changed my image of Ramen Restaurant Lots!! Nice customer service, fancy decos, nice music and of course HIGH QUALITY FOOD!!!! I really recommend Akamaru Ramen... taste was just FANTASTIC!! I ordered Akamaru Remen Tamago (Egg), the egg was just beautifully cooked and greatly matched with garlic oil. I could feel veggies' sweet flavour in the soup and the soup itself and the egg noodle was a perfect match! And dont forget Chashu( BBQ pork)... I guess they spend so much time to cook the chashu because it's just sooo tender and made me hungrier for more. I really had a good time with my friend and we had lots of chatting as well..haha-- Surely.. We will come back soon and eat their Ramen again ... cant wait!! read more

It is really time flies.. It has been already two years since Ippudo opened the branch at Westfield. I was really surprised the news they come to Sydney two years ago I am really fan of Ippudo ramen. Since they came here .. They never disappoint me and keep making perfect ramens for us. Last Friday, I went to Ippudo Westfield with my friends for dinner. I wanted to celebrate their anniversary but also I knew we could get a Ippudo original sake just for $2. Its surprisingly cheap! We went there little bit earlier than normal diner time. Thankfully there were no long queues at front of the restaurant. As soon as possible we sat on the table and asked the sake and we started to drink the sake with some gyoza ( Japanese dumping). The sake was really good taste and I couldn't believe it was only $2!! And we ordered two different of ramen and the ramens were fantastic taste and we really enjoyed the ramen with the sake. Thank you Ippudo to serve us the outstanding yummy dish and friendly services. And congratulation for your successful business at Sydney. I am sure they will bring me surprising more in the future!! read more

I am UTS student and I love Ippudo central park. The shop locates on convenience area and pretty easy access from UTS. Its really new, stylish and modern decollation and most I like is tables are available outside their area. I focus to study really hard inside class so I need some fresh air after classes. I just went there again yesterday and I found out they are serving us Dinner special menu now. Its was just $20 and I could get a ramen, pork bum and soft drink ( or ice cream) I think it is really good value compared with Ippudo Westfield branch. Its really good for student like me. I ordered Shoyu ramen this time and the ramen was so good. Shoyu ramen is more simple taste than other Shiromaru or Akamaru. It has full of fish extract and soy sauce flavor.. really yummy chicken chashu with yummy waving noodles. Famous Ippudo pork bum was as yummy as usual and made me just full enough. I will come back again at lunch time cuz I saw they are doing lunch time special set too. Good price, great taste and fantastic location! read more

I would give this more stars , i was a regular for sometime and love it : good food & generally don't have to wait to long to get in.. But in more recent times it seems to gotten worse service is a little slack from time to time and then there is the surcharge to pay by card!! WHY???? when this is already built into food prices .. a chain of this size would of already thought of that... so why add it on and upset customers just for a few dollars and decrease the chance of them returning.. horrible that cos it is trendy that business feel the need to charge to pay by card. Overall: food is normally good and comes out quick & service is usually good too. read more

This is second time to try here. Ramen was ok actually I could have had better one at home. Always disappointed about warm soup... I want hot soup!! The reason why I did two stars: the service is so slow and no one paid attention to customers we are not the only one got annoyed. AND I didn't get what I ordered plus we got wrong check. It wasn't even busy we are annoyed again. read more

This was a fantastic place for a well priced Japanese meal. If you like ramen, gyoza and a fast paced atmosphere. It felt like being in Tokyo. While the seating is tight and the pace is fast - the food is delicious and the service excellent. I really enjoyed the kale salad with tempura mushrooms. The chicken karaage was also very good. Highly recommend this place. read more

How good can a restaurant chain serving in a food court be? As it turned out awesomely great food. Meals were cheap especially for the quality and the speed of service was fantastic. Be warned that there is a queue to get in, yes it's that good and I didn't even mind sitting in a communal table as the food was so enjoyable everything else was a blur. read more

My wife and I went to Ippudo son a whim and it was well rewarded. The varieties of Miso based dishes was phenomenal. Service was good and friendly. We will return! read more
