We were not near her or interacting with her when she suddenly approached us from a distance and began yelling at my child screaming "Stop it!l" and nobody wanted to hear him. Her tone was loud, hostile, and aggressively confrontational toward a small child. She then turned on me and continued verbally attacking our family. I immediately told her she could not speak to my child that way and began walking my family away. Instead of stopping, she continued the confrontation as we tried to leave. She initiated the encounter and escalated it despite our clear efforts to disengage. My children were frightened by how hostile and intimidating her behavior was and remained upset afterward. Since then, I have come across other Google reviews describing similar aggressive interactions involving families and children, which is particularly concerning in light of what we experienced. I understand that children can sometimes be loud or upset in public. However, approaching a distressed four-year-old from a distance to yell at him and continuing to aggressively confront his family as they leave is unacceptable behavior. I'm sharing this experience so other families can make informed decisions.

They do boat trips and also rent other boats. They appear for the boat trips as Suncoast Sailing, it is the same place. The shop located attached to a Waffle house with parking in the back. Interior is a small liquor and fishing store with some tourist items. Staff friendly and the dog was especially friendly to all, except coconuts. There was a larger decent restroom to change, no showers. We had a clear tandem kayak that we got for four hours and they set us up in the back past the parking lot into a canal. They should us a map on how to navigate to Boca Ciega Bay, which is down the canal under two low bridges. We visited the tunnel of mangroves at Eleanor's Island, Little Bird Key Rookery, up to War Veteran's Memorial Park and St. John's Pass Sand Bar. We saw lots of wild life, it was a long paddle out and back. Even saw a manatee. Great time, however we really did not like the clear kayak. It felt very unstable and you have to check your equipment because they almost gave us a cracked paddle before I noticed, and they were nice about switching out. Also the clear kayak needed a float front and back but the back was missing the float, just in case. We did get life preservers which you have to have, but don't have to wear. TAKE A BUCKET to help clean the area, and get a free beer or other drink. I didn't notice until we got back, but cleaning up the water and shoreline is our thing. And we could've got a drink this time. It was good, and sounds like boat trips are the main draw. I liked it but I wish it was closer to the bay for kayaking because we took almost half hour both traveling to and from the bay, but then the canal is where we saw the manatee. So Good trip. I would not do a second time, but first time was worth it.

My cousin and I enjoyed ourselves going through the canals of the treasure island/madeira area. Jason, our guide, and his dog Chewy, were the best company. He talked a bit about the area and some good stories about chewy. The trip was a whole vibe with the lights, a drink in my hand, and music playing. The night we went out was perfect too! Not too hot and not too cold and with little to no wind. I was in the front chilling, paddling at times to help but I think my cousin who was in the back did most of the hard work paddling. Thanks Paige!! We went all the way through the canals that we eventually got to see John's pass. On the way back we saw tiny fish swimming under the boat. During the warmer months, Jason was saying you do get to see more than the tiny fish. I'll definitely be doing this again when I come down with my friends.
