If you know anything about skating, one board can be completely different than another, so this is useless. Considering all the nuance (shape, length, flex, weight) that go into a longboard, it is insanity to think that a customer would drop $160+ (their lowest price) on something that they can't test on the sidewalk. In 30+ years of skating and surfing, I have never been to a shop that wouldn't let you test out such a big purchase. Leave this shop to the tourists and posers and spend your money somewhere that actually cares about the culture.

We witnessed them treating many others this way -- including a surfer who came in looking for an accessory to his board, who was sent away with nothing but a weird attitude. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and was showed right where their women's Obey was without feeling like it was a chore for them to show me. The employees were nice and informed me of the 50% off section upstairs. When I went upstairs, the guy working told me about Skim boarding and gave me prices and showed me two boards that would be good for me; one higher price, one lower price. I go back often to shop and check out the half off section. I even put one of their shop stickers on my car. Definitely check Overhead out, even if you're only visiting Florida.

That is the only saving grace there with space and ease of shopping. The worst part is paying for parking before getting on the elevators. Good lord. That is a nightmare. The lines to pay and to get on the elevators are long with most everyone needing assistance from a store employee. AND I SAY DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!!!…read more07/04/2022 @ 4:30PM I was here with my wife shopping around minding our own business, when two Spanish floor associates decided to verbally make fun of my pregnant wife in Spanish! As if I couldn't understand them because I look white but actually I am Hispanic myself! I quickly confronted them both on the spot and they both quickly ran inside their "employee only" door. My wife was left wondering what happened? What did they say? As I was explaining it to her only one of them decided to peek her head out the door to look directly at me in silence. In Spanish I said to her "it's very funny making fun of my wife, huh?" She quickly goes back in the door giggling nervously. A few seconds later her accomplice comes out and makes a straight line away to avoid me. I went up to her and I said in Spanish to her face "It was very funny wasn't it? Making fun of my wife". I went to get rung up with the items I had, I asked the clerk if he can get me a manager but ignores me. A female associate fixing inventory comes by and I asked her to get a manager as I explained the situation to her and radios the manager to the front. The manager first off was unresponsive to the radio call, so the associate went out of her way to physically go get the manager on duty. As the associate came back towards me, "the manager" was talking to both of the Spanish floor associates in private. The associate who helped me said that the manager is not happy with them. My wife and I get called to the side near the front entrance to speak with the female manager. She asked me what happened and I explained it to her. HERE COMES THE GOOD PART! The manager questions me and asks "what exactly did they say in Spanish to her". So now the victims here are being questioned about credibility??? Fuck it I said it in Spanish verbatim! The female Spanish manager has the audacity to tell me they were joking about something else. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? WHERE YOU THERE? AND NOW YOU'RE CALLING ME LIAR! She called on one of the Spanish female floor associates to come talk and told me that I was mistaken, turns to my wife asks her in Spanish as if she could understand it what she said. I told her in Spanish "She's Asian she doesn't speak Spanish, but unlike her I am Salvadorian. I look white but fluently speak Spanish!" Then manager says I didn't hear them correctly, that I am wrong. No, I said "I didn't hear things I clearly heard them and confronted them! Just because I look white but I am Hispanic and my pregnant Asian wife is there that I couldn't understand you and your friend?" Spoken in Spanish to her and the manager. BUT IT GET BETTER!!! The manager tells me verbatim "they don't lie" "they never lie to me". I said "they're lying right now, if not then why did they run away from me as I confronted them both the first time!" The manager then just blatantly denies it all as customers are passing by telling it to me in Spanish so none can understand. So at that point I have had enough of hiding the conversation in Spanish! I spoke loudly in English and said to them all verbatim "They are lying and thinking it's ok for them to talk in Spanish and make fun of my pregnant wife meanwhile thinking they can get away with it because while I look white I am a Hispanic, you are all in the fucking wrong!" Yes there are racist Spanish people in this world and there are three of them in there that think it's ok to have that attitude towards people coming to shop for their products, demean their customers, lie to their customers, deny any sort of accountability and still NOT EVEN HAVE THE AUDACITY TO FUCKING MAKE A DAM THING RIGHT!

For example, if shopping for a man's swimsuit they are about all the same except for color. Which means you could have any color of knee length swimsuit you want. Yes, that is the predominant style but there are still lots of men who would want something smaller. A sign on the building claims the biggest selection of women's mix and match swimwear. Well, there isn't all that much of it and it's more mix than match. I don't know if the display was created by someone who is pattern and colorblind or they bought some factory leftovers and then shuffled them. Buy some of the bargain priced beach umbrellas while you're there, and go somewhere else for the rest of your beach supply needs.
