You get very little face time in any medical office these days, and I wanted to maximize my time and actually discuss my lab results in person for once instead of in a hurried phone call at the end of the PA or nurse's day when she's hustling to get her calls for the day done. I left the request for lab orders on the voice mail for Dr Popa's nurse. When no one called me back after a week, I called again and I was told the lab orders were at the front desk for me to pick up. When I went to pick them up, there was nothing for me. After waiting 20 minutes the office admin hustled me into a back office and told me that it was office policy to only write lab orders at the time of an appointment. I was not allowed to speak with Dr Popa or her PA about my request. So now I have to wait three weeks until the appointment to get the lab orders. Then I've got to make two more appointments- one at Quest to get the labs run and another to review the results since I expect them to show some changes in my health. At some point I'm going to run out of meds before this is over and can get a new scrip written. Letting me get the lab work in advance would have avoided that situation. Update - looking for a new doctor now. I can only see or talk to the PA and she won't listen to me . She's made up her mind about why my thyroid levels are high and refuses to listen to my other symptoms and concerns.

I have now driven from Irving to this clinic twice in the past two weeks, only to be told both times that my appointment had been canceled -- with no explanation given and no prior notification. Each visit cost me a day of work, plus hours spent calling my employer's HR department and my insurance company to confirm my coverage. Both confirmed everything was accurate and active. The problem was never on my end. What makes this worse is that the clinic seemed to place the blame on me for their own cancellations, rather than taking any accountability or offering a solution. I understand that schedules change and issues come up, but canceling appointments last minute without notice and then pointing the finger at the patient is not acceptable -- especially for someone trying to establish a new patient relationship. I've lost time, wages, and patience over this. If you're new to the area and looking for a reliable primary care provider, I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere. First impressions matter, and this one speaks volumes.

Terrible doctors office with abhorrent service and useless hours. The posted hours are until 5 yet…read morethe doctors leave by 1pm so what's the point? If you have a full time job it's impossible to be seen without taking a whole day off work. Even if you're appointment is scheduled for early in the morning plan to be there all day because theyre late starting appointments do it's impossible to know when you'll be done. Was informed they require you to have appointments every month to stay on your mental health medicine or they'll cut you off. The thing is though they pick and choose when to enforce that policy because I was getting refills without monthly appointment then they decided one day I don't need my meds anymore. Lol They do offer virtual appointments but their technology isn't advanced enough or their WiFi is to weak. You can barely have a conversation and understand the Dr. I will say Dr. Saleem is nice and is a good doctor, however how the practice is run is incredibly unorganized and the policy's are not practical. RUN away before going here if you have a full time job and have regular medications. This Dr office is for people who have all the time to work around their schedule or elderly patients with no set schedule. Thank God open enrollment is back so I can switch insurance and get back to a real Dr office. I've had better care and compassion at a free mental health clinic in the hood. In about 10 minutes I ran into Nurse Adeline…read more The first 10 minutes after arriving, I was politely moved around as the staff worked on my Brother and told me to wait for the ICU team to give me an update. Then....I meet Nurse Adeline! Nurse Adeline explained every piece of equipment and shared the medicines he was being given. She helped shift my Brother up in bed, helped the patient outside his room, and shut the door to ER area C that wasn't closed.... all in about 3-5 minutes. She was friendly, helpful, and observant! I'm happy he is being cared for by her and the other staff I met this morning in his room! Keep doing a great job hiring great people!!
