You could hire the fanciest stylist and most well-known makeup artist in Toronto, but what if they take 10 days to reply to your email or only give you the time of day a week before your wedding? That might not be a problem to some couples, but it was to us. It actually took awhile for us to find a makeup artist in Toronto who a) didn't have certain demands regarding travel, packages, etc., b) didn't take 5 days to respond to us, c) actually showed genuine compassion and interest in their work and craft, and for their client. I met Daniela a few months before our wedding, and knew she was the one! Out of over 20 makeup artists in Toronto that I contacted, she was the only one who suggested an in-person meeting to talk about my wedding. Honestly, I can't even express how much I appreciated that. She came to our meeting prepared, actually took the time to take notes and understand what I'd be wearing, the look and style I was going for, etc. I knew from the very start that, with Daniela, I was in very good, talented, and responsible hands. And as a bride, trust in your vendor is so key - and I trusted Daniela fully! On our wedding day, Daniela came early and prepared, and was totally unfazed when my mom changed her mind about what she wanted. She is the epitome of creativity, talent, and professionalism. And most importantly - I loved the look she gave me on our wedding day! She can do so many types of looks, and can totally diversify if you ask her to. Pre-event Consultation: Betty has great attention to details . She asked for vendor contacts and sample work so she can see the style of photography to match the looks. She considers your dress designs and theme as well. The accessories rental are all available at her studio for you to pick and she is flexible and makes great recommendations. A detailed schedule and skin care tips are shared so everyone can get ready for the big day ahead of time. I did not do a trial with Betty but her team pulled through all the looks with ease. Day-of Service: Team arrived before the scheduled time and was set up and ready to go within minutes. The team worked together so transition was smooth. Great tips were given as well as an emergency touch-up kit. She also helped me adjust my dress to make me feel grounded and ready for the hectic day. I had the team come on-site. The travel fee was minimal and I think it's worth the money spent. All the makeup is included, false lashes were included, and airbrushing is available for a small fee. I was ultra amazed that I did not tear up when she did my eyes as they are ultra sensitive to everything. I booked her exactly a year before my wedding. A month prior to the wedding, we had a consultation meeting. Betty was also very professional, efficient with communication, and always on time. She's also one of the sweetest ppl I know. On my day I had no worries even though I had only slept for an hour and 15 mins. She made me look as though I had plenty of energy, flawless skin and I am forever thankful :) She had about 2-3 other MUAs with her on my day for the bridesmaids makeup & hair. I thought they looked bloody spectacular ! For the PM touch up, I also requested for a hair change & she stayed with me till after the tea ceremony to prep for the cocktail hour. She gave me such a unique look that set myself apart from many others that night and really guided me through the application process. Jessica is great at what she does and I couldn't be happier with the look she created for me this past weekend. My makeup lasted from 1pm to 3am the next morning (when I decided to take it off). Jessica is also very responsive and was very accommodating with my nearly last-minute request for makeup application. She advised I come 10 minutes early to go over and plan the look that she was going to give me.
