Never got to meet the doctor. I'm sure she's a good doctor but I wouldn't know. Being a new patient I expected them to take my co payment only of $20 but they insisted on $70 because they wanted have of the deductible through my insurance. Needless to say I walked. I've been a patient of hers for over 15+ years. Fortunately, I'm relatively healthy and see her once or twice a year. Every time I do, Dr. Jasper and her office staff (front staff and Patty) are wonderful. They respond to my queries in a very responsive timeframe. I've emailed her office a few times a year with questions and/or requests, and she (office) always follows up immediately. I had a lot of issues. 1) The receptionist wasn't nice, friendly, or helpful. 2) I didn't like the fact that all of them would refer to the patient out loud in the office for other patients to hear the reason of visit, so they already broke HIPAA regulations. 3) I didn't like how the physician kept saying repeatedly that I had good insurance. 4) There were a lot of obstacles in order for me to get an appointment with them. read more

Patty Gallegos the finance bookkeeper from Dr. Jasper's office rudely called me at home and accused me of owing money for two visits. One pymt. on December 2022 and one in February 2023. I called my FSA and they confirmed that I already paid for both doctor visits and over the amount due. My FSA also said that the dates Patty had given were also incorrect. Patty was relentless and continued to harass me for the payment despite the FSA representatives confirmation of payment. This is the first time I questioned the validity in her saying that I owed money. I was extremely frustrated with Patty because she never ever questioned whether her books were wrong even after I told her I paid. She asked if the FSA could send proof, they said they would fax it. I told Patty you owe me an apology, she told me you know I always help you, I helped you on my vacation day. Then she brought up a year ago that my son was sick and she helped me. I was furious! When she brought up my son it was irrelevant and had nothing to do with being charged twice for two visits. I told her you helped me because this is your job! Your responsibility! She never gave me an apology kept raising her voice and then cynically told me God bless you and hung up. I had an appointment scheduled for the following week for a review of blood work. I was sent a letter in the mail that Dr. Jasper was terminating me as of July 18th as her patient and that she would treat me for 30 days until I found a new doctor. The doctor then cancelled my already booked office appointment on August 4th to go over blood work. Instead she sent my test results by email which I couldn't read. I called to ask if should would explain the results. She emailed me I was deficient in Vitamin D amongst other things. Normally Irina would send a prescription for vitamin D to my pharmacy this time she medically neglected my needs by not sending me a prescription for the vitamin D. I called to see if the doctor would speak to me and the front desk receptionist were rude and nasty and told me that she would call me back. I waited all day and right before their office closed, I called and asked when would the doctor call. They said Dr. Jasper went home for the day. She had no intentions of calling me back. Dr. Jasper is biased towards Patty and never was neutral in all of this. I still have not heard from Irina. She never asked me what happen, she just took what Patty said and terminated me as a patient. Of course this was soon after I questioned why I was being double charged. Patty is unqualified to keep records, the entire staff is unprofessional, rude and extremely disrespectful. I know with our a shadow of a doubt that Patty orchestrated all of this. The front receptionist also played a role in running defense and rudeness to make sure they followed suit in the doctors orders which was to be very short with me. This has been extremely stressful and disappointing to know that after all these years she would treat me like she didn't even know me all because I questioned Patty. Dr. Jasper your oath is something that I thought you stood by. The more I read even the reviews, the disciplinary actions issues, I'm not alone in how I feel. This entire situation made me wonder how many other times I was over charged. After being neglected medically I have endured more stress from this situation. I was diagnosed with plaque psoriasis which can also occur because of vitamin D deficiency. I requested my medical records and was given about 300 plus pages instead of a CD. I was given dirty looks when I went to pick up my files by the staff. Things happen for a reason and I'm so glad that you all terminated our dr./patient relationship. This has indeed been a blessing in disguise. Again, Patty I know you have orchestrated everything that has happened here to cover up your mistakes, but I see you for what you are. You are not qualified to keep financial records of any sort, you are rude, discombobulated and disrespectful. She was dismissive of her concerns, difficult to receive referrals for specialists, rushed through appointments, and was never up to date with her case. Now that my mom has a wonderful primary, she quickly got all of the necessary referrals along with a few worrisome diagnoses which require treatment. A little history. I'm disabled, live in poverty, haven't been to see a doctor in 3 years, am terrified to go, and desperately need to see one. I am way behind on having a physical, specifically a mammogram. I called Dr. Jasper's office and PATTY was rude and told me to get a different doctor because I couldn't figure out how to get them the paperwork without having transportation to the office. They kept telling me I either had to bring it in or email it, neither of which was an option because I don't have a car or scanner. I asked if I could come in with the completed paperwork on the day of my appointment. I was told, "NO," and never once did Patty mention that I could mail it in until I got upset. I explained how poor I am and that I need a doctor and she simply didn't care. I've also heard from another patient that Dr. Jasper is cold and rushes you, so I guess I dodged a bullet with this one. This incident truly upset me. I already don't want to see a doctor and Patty was cold and heartless, even after I explained my situation. Why work with people if you're just going to be awful? Get another job, Patty, maybe something that doesn't involve you talking to patients. I mean if you're going to belittle and disrespect someone because they're poor with no way to get around, maybe you ought to look for employment elsewhere. Dr.Jasper has been my doctor for quiet awhile.its only today that i felt humiliated by her.I have a virtual appointment with her that has been cancelled twice already that she was on vacation.Today 1/18/2021 at 2:10 pm. was my schedule for my virtual appointment.I went home early from work to have my appointment.Her secretary gave me a call and told me that Dr .is in the office wanted to see me.I told her are you sure ? and she said yes.So I drove to her office as instructed.came in and saw her by left side of the receptionist and even wave at her. when i was going to sign in ,the receptionist said we need to take your temperature which i went to assistant that is going to take my temperature, and Doctor ask me what are you doing here?do you have an appointment.I told her yes and your receptionist called me to come in. She told me step out !,step out!, and use your phone call the office for an appointment and we will decide what we are going to do with you.and she said we don't have Covid vaccine yet in here. so I step out from the office and the assistant lock their door.I called the office while I was outside and the receptionist told me go to a computer. There's no computer outside.She treated me like i was contagious, humiliated me in front of her staff. I will never go back to her.I decided to call my network and filed a complain against her. Dr. Jasper was my doctor for two years in Pasadena. During that time I probably saw her six or seven times for check ups, as well as for illness. Most appointments I waited for over an hour in the waiting room which, every time, I found to be ridiculous and vowed to find a new doctor. When she's with you, she's nice, but she prescribed me antibiotics for everything and I often felt like she might be misdiagnosing me because she was in such a rush. It's also unfortunate that her nursing staff is located so close to the waiting room because on more than one occasion I heard them describing a patient's diagnosis over the phone to them, including vaginal infection. If I had been on the other end of the line I would have been mortified others could hear. I would not advise anyone to elect to have Dr. Jasper as their physician. read more

Dr. Jasper is knowledgeable and friendly. Her staff is terrible -- rude, incompetent, and untimely. There is little privacy -- much discussion takes place right next to the waiting room where everyone can hear, and there is no curtain around the exam room doors, so there is a direct view inside to where you are sitting with a piece of paper to cover you when the door opens. Here are some of the unacceptable problems I encountered. I signed a release form for the doctor to get pertinent information from a previous doctor. That previous dr called me to confirm that I wanted the info transferred. When I asked Dr. Jasper's staff for the information, they recalled being contacted, but had lost the information. I asked them to recontact the past dr to get the info again. Four months and many phone calls later, I still do not have the information! When you have tests done, the dr tells you that if you don't hear from them in a week, that means your results are fine. I had tests done and heard nothing. Several months later when I went again I asked to see a copy of the results. I was the one to notice that I was given the wrong test!! Once when the Dr was out, the staff referred me to Urgent care. I made an appointment with Dr. Jasper a week later for follow up. Urgent Care had no record of my tests. I had to have them all redone. This time I insisted on seeing my results. Over a week later (when I was told the test results would be ready in 3 days) only half the results were in... and I was given an incorrect test, AGAIN!!! For the next week and a half I called every other day asking about the rest of the results. Every single time, they told me that they had already given me the results and I had to explain again that I only got half the results. The receptionist kept telling me that she didn't have time to find out where the rest of the results were, or if the tests had even been done. I finally went in to try to talk to them in person and was rudely told by the doctor, nurse, and receptionist in front of an entire crowded waiting room that they were too busy to talk to me that day and I should come back later. Two and half weeks after I had the tests done (for the second time). I cannot deal with them anymore and will have to go to a third doctor to try to get the remaining tests. I have a feeling my insurance company is going to have a problem with the same tests being ordered three times in one month. To summarize: I was treated rudely, not given my results, had the incorrect test done on me on two separate occasions, and had results disappear twice as well. read more

I was a new patient to Dr. Jasper this past week. She is very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Jasper listened to me and my symptoms and prescribed an appropriate treatment. I am a nurse and I love it that I found a doctor like her on my first try (I am new to the area) and had to rush to designate a PCP. In regards to a lot of these comments about the time spent in the waiting rooms - every doctor I have ever gone to I've had to wait in the waiting room about an hour or so before seeing them. In these days of skyrocketing malpractice insurance costs and doctors switching to concierge service more and more primary care providers are leaving primary care and the remaining are then overbooked and the result is longer time waiting. I thought my wait was well worth it to be squeezed in the day when I was feeling incredibly ill and was able to start treatment sooner than to be given a next day appointment or having to spend double and go to Urgent Care. read more

I've been a patient of Dr Jasper for eight years. She's compassionate and pushes me to improve my health. Over the years she's called me to review my test results (which scared and shocked me at the time since she called me to review routine results). She's a good health advocate. Over that time, I've been less pleased with her office. I'm on maintenance meds and they routinely mess my prescriptions up and don't call for refills. When they do call, they don't communicate with me. I've also seen that the Dr office is a little weird since Covid. Maybe the dr or someone else in the office is immune compromised. I don't know, but each to their own. I heard they require vaccines to be a patient. If u don't like it, find another dr. They don't take credit cards either. I'm don't care about the Covid stuff but I'm getting annoyed by the prescription mess ups and may change doctors. I wish Jasper had a better back office. read more

I was raised mostly by my Mom so I feel more comfortable with women doctors. Guys doctors (mostly dentists for some reason) always feel like they're bullcrapping me. Dr. Irina has been very cool over the years. Don't bother with the parking lot. Make your appointment first thing in the morning and find street parking. Seem like a good person but I sure as hell will be looking for another Dr. No other business can get away with the poor service and mistakes that the medical field can. It's no wonder medical malpractice is a third leading cause of death row behind heart disease and cancer even more than strokes! I just went in for a routine check up as it was supposed to be free to my health insurance but I was charge $75! I was then told the charge was because I asked questions. I was then to get blood drawn for blood test some of which are hormones she admittedly knows very little about and then made obvious because they were ordered wrong. Patty, one of the office staff, told me that I could get a referral to a specialist and that they'd contact me in 2 days with the details. After seven days without a call, I reach out and am told that they don't have any record of my call and that I need to come in to be seen by Dr. Jasper first. This in itself isn't a big deal. It was the three phone calls from the office saying things like, "I'm not calling you a liar, but nobody here talked to you." Just to be sure, I double checked the phone number I called a week ago and it was the exact same. Getting good care is hard enough without incompetent office staff making it harder. I called the office for an immigration medical exam. I was told it was $240 cash only and that the exam included EVERYTHING. I was advised by my immigration attorney to ask what ALL of the fees could be so I asked if there would be any additional charges if I required vaccinations. The office advised me again that $240 included everything; vaccinations, tb test, blood draw, lab work, x-rays. I scheduled an appt and two days later returned to have my tb test read. I was then advised that I would have to receive the MMR vaccine because the titer that they performed two days prior revealed that I needed it. An additional $113 later, on top of the $240 cash only, I received my paperwork. I was very upset that the office staff was not truthful with me up front and I hope they did not take advantage of me or others because we are not US citizens. read more
