I am attending CMI at the moment, and I find the college great central location in Dublin City ,the…read morecollege is well equipped with relax room with free coffee and tea small kitchen and computer's to study on.The teacher's are very knowledgeable and helpful, I am studying for Health and safety occupational certification, it is one evening a week and its fir 6 month's , with online support from Cmi online module called Moodle in which you can review your class work every week.We have exam in January 25th for first part if the course in which you have to get 50% results to go on to 2nd part if course, there is a lot to study for this course and I you wont pass from attending 1 evenings class you must also study at home ,if I had to any thing negative to say I think the college should offer 3 days classroom studying for the amount you need to learn , as you know it's hard to study at home so me personally I would prefer to study in the college you learn much more.I would recommend the CMI college for further education and certification courses. Cool little visit if you are in Dublin…read more I'll be honest, I didn't spend much time here. But it was cool and worth visiting. There is a tour and its really the only way to see the cool stuff. Otherwise it is just like walking around a college campus. I would recommend it. You can burn an hour here and feel pretty good about what you saw. The cool part is the harp, make sure to see that! The other neat part is walking around with the students and hearing the Gaelic. Such an interesting language.

There are also a lot of social activities you can join for example a discussion or film course, tours in Dublin or the social evening on Friday to a pub. One of the most important things is, that alpha helps you to find a hostfamily or appartment if you want. All in all you can say alpha is a great school to improve your English!

I mean dark wooden bookcases with rows and rows of books probably covered with dusk, chairs with green leather seats and solid dark wood desks. I've been to a few conferences here. They have a large room at the back - that you have to quietly walk through a library to get to - and a smaller room at the front. They probably have more rooms that I haven't been in. As well as they old style learned atmosphere they have all the modern equipment like LCD projectors and that. The large room as some benches that make your arse go numb after awhile but I still like it... possibly because it's the kind of place you could imagine yourself smoking a pipe in!

We were in a room directly to the right of the entrance, which had dark wood tables, thousands of books on the shelves and the portraits of dead luminaries of the RIA glowering down at one and all. A really lovely spot for some serious hobnobbing.

This is a training college for people wanting to enter the hotel and bar trade. It is located in…read morethe city centre and is very accessible.The courses are three months in lenght and you are entitled to a weekly wage, which works out at about 200 euro a week. The college itself, is very impressive as it has a fully functioning kitchen. Staff are very professional and helpful. Every week they hold open interviews for their courses. They advise to come early and ring ahead to confirm the interview day.

It's a fantastic facility. They offer a number of extra curricular activities such as GAA, Irish Dancing, Choir etc, but the strongest asset the school has is the staff. It's rare to find staff in any organisation who are so truly dedicated to their jobs, but the teachers & head mistress at Scoil Bhride go above & beyond what would be expected of them. With class sizes increasing all the time, it's refreshing to see the attention each child gets from their teachers here. They're wonderful people headed by the utterly brilliant Miss Dillon - an educator who all future educators should be compared against. She has earned so much respect from the students & parents alike about how she runs the school. If you're local & looking at schools to send your child to, you would be hard pressed to find better than Scoil Bhride.

I just am always exploring new things. It's a beautiful spot, the walls and light in there are wonderful. Ian & Monika are the founders of this movement, which I think is very ballsy of them to start a new venture in such hard times, but they are passionate about the arts. There is so much going on there, from writing classes to music events to readings... Just check out their website, it's packed with info. When I went, there was a poetry reading which I really enjoyed, i thought that it wouldn't be my cup of tea, there also was free drinks and snacks - nice :) I actually bumped into my old art teacher from secondary school there, which was bizarre but also pretty cool. It seemed that the fact I was utter brat was water under the bridge, nothing was said of the clay fights we had... That poor woman. I really admire what this place is striving to do for the city, long may it continue.

After some difficulty finding the place I enjoyed the atmosphere in the basement venue a lot. The bare walls might not be ideal for exhibitions as they can take away from the pictures but they surely add to the atmosphere. A lovely old Georgian basement spot with deep window sills you even can sit on. (One of) The owner of the centre spoke as an introduction and made a very friendly and knowledgeable impression. I can imagine how nice it would be to come for concerts or other events here. If I'd be closer to town I most likely would join as a member and avail of their events more.

What I really appreciated about the stop is that it's modernized and on the newer side (for a museum) so it does feel much more updated with the technology/exhibits so that it meets modern times. We purchased our tickets in advance, but they also allow you same-day/in person purchases. I don't know if we got lucky the day we came or if they have a cap on how many tickets they sell, but it did feel like the group/people allowed in was buffered, which kept the experience feeling more intimate/less crowded. There is plenty to see and multiple floors to explore so we were easily here three hours walking all about and taking in the different exhibits. My favorite exhibit was where they paid homage to the musical influences and artists of Ireland. I found this section to be the most interesting for me personally and it was well done. Honestly, there was so much to see, you could easily come back a few times to really take it all in. For the price it is worth it and a great way to spend a few hours in Dublin. I would highly recommend stopping here.
