We get a text today saying he is getting fined $25 because he brought a "guest " after hours. I called and spoke with the manager and let her know the situation and how we both are members so if we could get the fee waved. She tell me no, that we are at fault because we are supposed to each use our own keys. I tell her , we didn't know that we just figured we are both members so we just walked together. She has not empathy at all nor did she seem nice or apologetically about the situation. She just seemed very cut throat and offered no kindness or empathy towards the situation. I've been in customer service for about ten years now I've been a manager at two different jobs. I have always helped customers with kindness and empathy. I was so excited to start this journey at this gym because I had been dealing with some pp depression and was really hoping to have a positive experience. So far I've gone one time and already getting finned for something so dumb, and we both pay $100 combined per month for our memberships. I really wish the employees offered more kindness and understanding with the member of this gym, especially when it was our first time. I am going to try to over look this situation, but If it gets worse I will more than like likely pay to break my gym contact.
