There could be more attention to cleaning of equipment from staff or cleaning services in both the rise gym and barbell. The main door entering rise has been seen multiple times with handprints smudged all over and dust on equipment. I do appreciate the cleaning products and towels to clean off instruments after use, however during non peak times there are no towels available. Not sure who to let know regarding this, but will change my review once I see this area addressed.

Whether you're a newbie in the gym, getting back into it, or an athlete, they've got facilities and equipment for you. They have some equipment that you just can't find in most gyms that elevates the whole experience. The owners do a great job of making sure they have the latest and greatest AND all the classic pieces you need. The good.. the front desk woman was very very friendly, the club is huge and everything is new, there were some flirty and friendly gymgoers (female) always appreciated. The bad.. several gymgoers being territorial, hostile and competitive (male), never appreciated. People smoking near the entrance (they were El Palenque patrons not gym people, but ewww), the PF got so crowded from 4.30pm to 6.30pm that I'd never choose rush hour again, I thought with a new gym it might be less like that. I did try the free class at this location... however, OTF recommends you sign up at a home location where you spend the most time.. whether it was close to work or home. I scheduled the class a week in advance and got a call the day of to remind me. Check in was 30 mins prior. Austin was great with checking me in and showing me around. Cara was my trainer and I have nothing but great things to say. The workout is HIIT style with a mix of cardio, rowing and treadmill and strength training. I was sweating like a maniac and had a great workout. The pricing is by membership level. You can choose once a week or twice a week (the best one). Also can choose packages but it's best to go more often if you are only doing this. They also have class passes but it seems more expensive to get a pack of 10 or 20 workouts. I plan on going twice a week and doing my other gym the rest of the week. The only thing I don't like is the cost of the heart/health monitor. I already use my Apple Watch and didn't want another gadget. I may get one if I continue the program after a couple of months. I love seeing the stats on the board so that's the only draw for me to buying the monitor. I recommend the facility and the workout. Everyone was nice and upbeat and the workout goes by fast because you are told what group to be in based on the exercise. The other members seem to enjoy it and everyone was super sweaty.

Jolie and the front desk will get to know you and it generally there to ensure you have a great day. She works out and will come say hi to you on the floor. I told her as a joke, to tell me to push harder when she sees me on the floor. Well she did. Nicole the trainer is amazing, I see her watch her clients intently and have them work on muscles they did not know they needed to strengthen. Wajih a new trainer will ask you what you are working today and provide a suggestion. Not a hard sales, but he is genuinely intent on you having a best workout. I told him that I like squats but I cave my knees in, his simple tip was spot on. All companies are like families they all are dysfunctional in some ways. Areas broken for months never fixed. Continued... -ladies exfoliating in the sauna and in the hot tub so gross! -mold on the floor and walls of the hot tub not cleaned for over a year I finally left villa. -blood by the pool and showers not cleaned up for three days! THREE! What are the cleaners doing? Apparently nothing. Even after I pointed it out. -roughly spoken to by a guy who takes care of the area (I assumed) by the indoor lap pool. I was pregnant and hurting and needed my nightly stretch in the pool which is the main reason I paid to go there and I can't use the hot tub while pregnant. Arrived at the same time as usual. There was another person swimming but the man present didn't like women or I don't know but he told me "it's closed" and didn't give me an explanation. I question and shared how I REALLY need to stretch I'm in pain and it's supposed to be open another 40 minutes on schedule and there is clearly another person swimming in front of us, so how can it be closed? He just yelled at me and still didn't tell me why. I have no idea who or why he was there. Cane other days when pool was support he open and they had signs saying closed" when it was supposed to be open. They don't really have a good amount of machines other than tons of treadmills compared to LA fitness. And as others mentioned they stay broken a long time. But I need to work my back and don't use free weights. The hot sauna was broken for MONTHS! And was so unclean inside. I couldn't believe I had been sitting in there. But I'm sure it was due to the lady exfoliating herself and no one cleaning it! It makes me want to vomit thinking of it. I wanted a water yoga class but they didn't have evening classes for me. Only during the day when I couldn't go. For a large expensive place it makes no sense they could not hire for evening classes. Kids area-while I don't trust anyone to watch my kids personally, my best friend had a terrible experience there. Other kids would bully her kids and staff didn't seem to care. She could only take her kids a set limited time during the day so too bad if you can't make that block of time despite the fact you pay twice as much to bring kids you can literally only go when they say you can because pools and splash pads for kids aren't open or are closed constantly. The last straw was her son was arguing with his sibling as siblings do, but it was handled terribly. Instead of going to get her if there was indeed a problem , the staff dragged him down the hallway and when he thought he was out of sight, she saw him throw him on the ground. She happened to have come down for pick up at the time and was following them wondering why he had her son down a secluded hallway alone, He didn't apologize or anything. Terrible way of handling a child.
