    Apple selection and store

Irons Fruit Farm is a fun stop if you are in the area. They specialize in fresh apples and apple related products, both preserved and baked. They had around 8-10 varieties and we packed a few to go. The pastries were incredible, especially the apple pie. They also do holiday pie pickups. Store was well stocked with a bunch of stuff not apple related. We picked up the best ghost pepper salsa that my step-dad has been asking me to get again! We did not spend too much time on the grounds but they had a few livestock, including goats and an emu. Was fun to see. Would love to come back and visit their store again.

Apple picking was a much different experience, than what we experienced a few years ago at the pumpkin patch. Employees were friendly and engaging people. Donuts were sold out when we arrived. Instead we tried the apple fritter. Chunks of apple, cinnamon swirled, and sweet describes the fritter. House made apple pies and large cookies were also available. Various other items are for sale in their store. Apple picking was a pleasant experience. A hay ride took us to the apple orchard. Apples may be picked by the half bushel or peck. For apples that are higher up, apple pickers are available. An attendant is there to assist and explain when need be. Four varieties of Apple were available during our visit. Employee gave us additional information about the farm, when asked. Several animals are on the farm. My daughter made friends with two goats and a donkey. It may have been a burrow.

Once fall hits, my heart wants to be at Irons picking up apple cider donuts. This year I tried an apple fritter & it was amazing! Now I'll need both every fall.

Apple cider donuts, corn maze, fresh apples, apple fritters, pumpkins, and hayrides!!! All things fresh and fall. I have been a prideful customer of Irons Fruit Farm for approximately 15 years. It is the first place I crave when I'm sad to see Summer leave, but when September rolls around, it's time for THIS farm. Personally, I go for 3 things, fresh picked apples straight from the farm, the corn maze, and the on the farm fresh bakery. The bakery is the Bombay! Fresh apple donuts, apple fritters, apple hand pies, whole apple pies, and fresh apple cider by the cup, half gallon, or gallon. Amazeballs, all of the for mentioned! A room full of tables labeled with fresh picked apples (with descriptions and suggested using). McIntosh is my absolute favorite, and with all the hybrid varieties available in stores, these are hard to come by. Stock up. Jams and jellies galore, fresh honey and more. I always buy apple butter, which is a thinner apple jelly, with hints of cinnamon. But wait, they stepped the game up this year, Pumpkin Butter! Wow! Stock up as well. The corn maze is literally mind blowing. Sometimes there is an aerial view on their Facebook page, but it's been a few years since it was updated. Maybe they are trying to keep the mystery going. However, it is new and exciting every year. It is a piece art in which you can get lost. The great pumpkin patch Charlie Brown! Yes, you can take the kiddos to pick their very own pumpkin, and grab one for yourself as well. Bring your muscles, they grow quite big. A great place for families, couples, singles, all. There is something for everyone, and it is gaining in popularity, especially when it's "Pumpkin Spice Latte, Uggs, and Flannel Season". Parking up front in the field. Face painting, tractor barrel rides, farm animals to feed, like cool emus, and hayrides. Go early or late to beat the crowd, if your into that. Either way, you will definitely make many memories here! The kiddos and kids at heart, such as myself, will love it and come back year after year. Enjoy!

Pay attention to their Facebook they post 'pick your own fruit' days. We did an apple pick. Rode a hayride to the orchard and picked the best apples. Our little ones couldn't help but to try some. I would recommend buying a dozen apple fritters. They are the best I've EVER had. Great for a outing with the kids.

Came here last weekend for apple picking and it was full of families with little ones. The ride to the apple farm was fun and while you wait there's little animal farm on the left hand side. It was worth the trip. Price was affordable. Also saw a baby kangaroo while paying. It was great! Highly recommend

Oh how I love this place. Great place to spend a fall afternoon. First, the parking is ample and the location is rustic, yet not too far away from main roads. You can pick pumpkins, apples, see a honey farm in action and even do a corn maze in the fall. It really is a blast. And the really, you can do all of this for about $5 a person. Pumpkins are $.45 a pd. What I was impressed with?? The amount of pumpkins, there's lots to choose from and the field is large. You'll have plenty of pumpkins to choose from. Finding the perfect one takes some time. And it's so fun winding about the fields looking. The corn maze is vast, I believe about 14 acres I think. Be prepared if you choose to partake. Little ones may get worn out as the map isn't very detailed and unfortunately, there's not flags or a perch to look out from to get an elevated view. For the die hards, there's six boxes hidden through out the maze. When you get to each box, there's a special hole punch to mark your card with. Get all six and you get a free glass of cider, or a donut at the barn. Couple tips: Don't be overwhelmed by the tractor line. From what I could tell, there are probably three tractors going about in a rotation. So while it looks daunting don't fret. Also, while you wait, if you're in a group, I would suggest one person get in line, and the rest wander around and pet all the animals. There are ostriches! I repeat, there is an ostrich you can pet in addition to goats, burros and a few other critters. Bring a back pack and blanket. Have a picnic at the picnic tables or get the blanket out and really enjoy the afternoon. There's a tent that has hot dogs, chili, sausage and soups. But you could also easily pack your own lunch. Don't be afraid to check out the barn and bakery. Apple fritters, GET THEM!!! You must. There's also apple cider donuts that are no joke, cider, various fruit preserves and fresh apples to choose from. Honestly, locally, this place is one of the best. Make it a fall tradition! It's lots of fun.

Terrible apples they do not grow them there. Everything is waxed. What a disappointment.

There were free samples, and the whole store was filled with fresh local food at very fair prices- it THRILLED me! I have been to many local markets, but Hawks Run still thoroughly exceeded my previous expectations!! It feels like a vintage grocery store, but with all the modern products you could hope for in the 2020s. Even in February, there is fresh local produce and very high quality foods and natural products. The owner told me that many people shop here for the gluten free options, and I can see why!! There was a thrilling amount of gluten free bakery items (I sampled the chocolate chip cookie that tastes so good you couldn't have guessed it was gluten free, YUM!) Outside, there is lovely seating options and plenty of room for kids to play. Lots of nice lighting for when it gets dark. It seems like a wonderful place to gather in warm weather! I truly cannot wait to return, both in the cold months and once it is summer!! I cannot rave about it enough, but I made sure the business was here on Yelp so I could leave a review (so hopefully that shows my enthusiasm haha)!
