My favorite meadery. I live in WNY. We have several great meaderies, but this is a must visit when traveling to Pittsburgh PA, or Ohio for flavors I can't find elsewhere. One of my favorites is Loki's Tongue, which includes star anise. I also love Ninja, their blueberry mead, and the blackberry mead Enabler, both based on their traditional Quicky mead. I can buy some really great wines and meads under $20 back home, but Loki's Tongue is twice that, and I still think it's worth it. The Quickie meads run closer to $20. They have so many different flavors and everything I've tried has been excellent - and I'm actually really picky. Availability varies due to the crafting, but you're bound to find something great in stock. Always friendly and welcoming. Beautiful new space. read more

Over priced and bland products. Their advertising is clever & promises much but the mead they make is not flavorful nor satisfying. A disappointment. read more

We got their mead flight ($15) and the Meadville Mule ($12) to split. The mead flight included the Traditional Honey, Sour Apple, Stone Fruit, and Cranberry Blueberry. All of them were very sweet but my favorite was the Cranberry Blueberry because it had the most flavor but the Sour Apple was a close second just because it is such a unique flavor for mead. The Meadville Mule was also very good, they used their Sour Apple Mead to make it which definitely mellowed out the sweetness. The food smelled really good so if we were to come back we'd definitely try it out!!

Blissful Meads has a cute location in Meadville with a casual atmosphere. The meadery had a few customers inside who seemed to be regulars. We opted for a mead flight and loaded nachos. The Blissful Nachos were fantastic! They did not skimp on anything. It was so well balanced too - each bite seemed to have a great amount of beef, cheese, jalapeño, and black beans. I even liked the olives and I typically don't eat olives. Even when we approached the bottom layer I was still enjoying a full mix of food instead of a plain chip layer I often find in loaded nachos. I can only imagine how tasty their street tacos must be! Now for their meads, my mother didn't care for them but I wasn't too surprised. Mead can be a bit of an acquired taste. I personally enjoyed the mead flight. Most were very good ranging from light and semi-sweet to quite sweet. The tasting board was very well done and I appreciated the variety. I would have loved to know more about the type, history, and all that but they were a bit busy. It was a great stop.

I had a great time visiting the Arrowhead Wine Cellars! The…read moreowner, Nick Mobilia, just happened to be in the fireplace room when I was there. Mr. Mobilia and his daughter Nikki shared all about the winery, and the many jobs that are performed there. Kayla K. was also there, and she is one of their assistant Wine Makers. It was a pure pleasure to visit and learn so much about the Mobilia family history. Everyone I encountered was just great! I left with a new understanding of the region, and what goes into their wine-making and juice business. I left with bottles of a new wine they have called "Unexpected" which was a project that Kayla did. I also came across some Root Beer! Chautauqua Beverages on the label with "Produced by Mobilia Farms Inc." I didn't have root beer in mind at all, now I'm a fan of that also! I will most definitely be back! Award winning wines line the walls, and prices are very reasonable. I recommend Arrowhead Wine Cellars with no reservations at all. Real people, awesome wines! NOTE: I don't think I would have had this great experience during the big wine tasting tours, I imagine things get very busy. I went in the early afternoon on a weekday and had a very pleasant experience.
