Loved the peach beer myself (just the one) and my spouse enjoy his 3 ipa's. Met good patrons, which always tells me about a place. Pickle pizza hit the spot! And to make it 100% id suggest adding Sriracha or ranch drizzle? It needed just one *something.* but also totally brilliant without.

We had been…read morelooking for a brewery in Erie to visit after the Erie Marathon whenever Lavery Brewing popped up on Yelp. This place is large and has both outdoor seating on the side as well as plenty of indoor seating. The inside looked like a mix of cozy and industrial, with a long wooden bar stretching the length of the room, warm pendant lights hanging overhead, colorful beer boards on the wall, and shelves lined with bottles and glassware behind the bar. It had a relaxed but lively feel to it. After looking around to figure out where we wanted to sit, we ultimately chose the bar. For lunch on this day I chose to go with the pimento smash deluxxxe while my wife went with the pesto pizza. The menu described my meal as two smash patties, bacon, American cheese, pimento cheese, and onion rings on a brioche bun while my wife's was described as parsley basil pesto, triple cheese blend, fire roasted tomatoes with a balsamic glaze. I thought that the burger here was delicious as the patties were seasoned nicely and I appreciated the onion rings. While there was plenty of cheese and it was flavorful, I almost could have used more of the pimento. Then my wife liked her pizza here especially the pesto combined with the fire roasted tomatoes. Then for drinks, as I often do whenever I visit a new brewery, I decided to go with a flight here. At Lavery Brewing, a flight consists of 6 beers and I chose the Active Recovery, Seeking Clarity, Lime n Cuke, Throwing Tropical Shade, Sound Mild, and Divine Intervention for my flight. I first started with the Active Recovery which was light and hoppy and very drinkable. Up second was the Seeking Clarity which had a clean start before a heavy dose of hops in the middle which surprisingly didn't linger. Third was the Lime n Cuke which has a strong cucumber smell and the drink itself is dry like most goses with a mild lime and stronger cucumber flavor. Fourth was Throwing Tropical Shade and you could really taste the orange and other tropical flavors with a finish flavor of coconut. For me this was a really delicious beer. Up fifth was the Sound Mild which was light but you got the nice flavor of those toasted malts at the finish. Last but certainly not least was the Divine Intervention which had a strong coconut flavor on the finish. Out of the bunch my favorite ended up being the Throwing Tropical Shade. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. My wife and I both enjoyed the beverages and the food and we left both happy and stuffed.

Lots of character defines the atmosphere of Union Station…read more We started with the pierogis and spinach dip. My favorite of the two was the spinach dip served with pub made tortillas. For lunch we tried the fish sandwich and soup / salad combo. Fish sandwich came with fries. Fish was on the small side and fries more on the mushy side. I had the onion soup and house salad. The onion soup is not French onion, it resembles it but actually has a sweet flavor. Salad was fresh, I added grilled chicken, it came with a tiny cup of dressing. They do use bottled dressing rather than house made. Our server had 5 active tables, even though she brought ketchup and dressing to the table, she didn't offer drink refills or check back after we received our food.

There's a Christmas popup happening adjacent to the restaurant that is printing money serving college inspired drinks that taste cheap and hungover laden but the vibe is good enough! The focus of this quick review is on the restaurant itself! Beautiful building in downtown Erie that is a Brewerie but also has an fairly extensive menu of food. We were early but promptly seated in a corner of the restaurant. Our server was fun, attentive and quick. We ordered a round of drinks and went into mains after a quick review of the menu. I tried the Reuben and battered cod. Not having either in quite awhile, i was ready to enjoy these. However, the Reuben was ok and very standard IMO but the fries were weird and not great. Stale or frozen then thawed for awhile maybe. Others got the pierogi's that they said were "meh" and one person got the nachos. I heard the nachos were standard which to me meant good here. The battered and fried cod was delightful. Not greasy and batter was light. Drinks, the mango habanero was not good. The house made ginger was strong and the bourbon surprisingly did not mix well. IDK how else to generalize the Brewerie as just ok with the best things being the staff and maybe their nachos. Restaurants try to be bars and bars try to be restaurants sometimes. This is definitely a bar moreso.

I tasted them at Iron Mann in Girard. Shout out to those guys for having this extensive selection, along with great, friendly service I'd say check out 1547 wherever you find them and see how your tastes compare to mine... My impression of the beers (always a subjective matter, of course) went down something like this: 1400 Miles From Home - a Key Lime Sour. Very light sour, to my liking, with all of the flavors in the description working together quite nicely Kolsch - another light version of this style. It is a good summer beer for someone who wants a little more flavor than a Bud/Coors/Miller Ohio Heat Wave - subtle habanero on the back end slowly builds, but that's about the only thing I'm picking up. This is a very light beer Hang 11 - a sweet IPA? The bitterness is as advertised. Would love to know the hops involved. Very drinkable, but don't expect a mouthful of IPA. More like a sweet, session IPA in my opinion Shooktown NE IPA - first taste hit very nice. Like most of them, it tastes very close to the description. No bitterness, but like others on the flight, it's a light version of this style. I'm used to a more potent hit of juice from a NE IPA, it's drinkable for sure

For beers, we had the Eureka and Dulachan. Pretty good IPAs. For food, note that their menu on the website is not up to date. I had my heart set on the spätzle, and they didn't have it. We went several times during our stay. We had: Smelt appetizer - very good. Had it twice. Hot sausage pizza - make sure you like spicy - very hot! Pepperoni pizza - a bit spicy for pep pizza, but still good. Awesome crust! *They will split a pizza half and half if you ask. Cubano - incredible. The pork belly makes it fantastic. Seafood pasta - it's not on their website right now, so I don't remember the exact name, but it was delicious. I just wish they'd serve a piece of bread with it. Peppered kettle chips - Yum! Cheesecake - varieties change often, but if they have the rootbeer, get it! The base cheesecake is incredible, so get whatever flavor appeals to you. Downsides: I do not recommend the fries. These were shoestring fries and tasted like frozen ones. The acoustics are horrible. If you want to talk to anyone, don't go when it's even a little busy.
