I do not recommend this place to no one. I went there spend more than a half an hour and give them a picture of a cake and tell them to be exactly how the picture is. I wanted a tall cake for my daughters birthday to be picked up after eight days on the way to the party room for my daughter's birthday to pick up the cake when I went there, the cake does not look nothing like the picture so please everyone stay away from this place, they do not give you what they promise you and I have no choice but to pay for the cake and get it because it was a last minute, so please everyone again stay away from this place if I could give this place I would give them -10 stars read more

We got a wedding cake as a gift from our friend. She ordered it from Irresistible Cakes. It was a French Vanilla. It tastes amazing; most of our guests are on a diet, but all if them finished their piece and said that they loved it so much. The cake was very moist and tasty. We didnt want a fancy cake, since our wedding was just for a family and close friends, so we wanted only great tasty cake with no decorations. However, they had some name and some roses and tried fo make it in a rose gold with my wedding theme. The theme 1920's Prohibition party. The cake my God has to depict this era. As you know the cake is the centre of attraction of any wedding/party. And this cake was a show stopper. I showed their Cake Designer a picture of a cake from the Great Gatsby era. It turned out amazing. The inside of the cake was chocolate bacci. Very fresh, deliciously decadent without being too sweet. Sinful because I had an extra slice later. Priced well. How do you send the wrong flavored cake? Instead of apologies and full refund, i was asked to drive 30 minutes to bring back the uneaten portion of the cake for investigation. They would only offer a refund if 85% of the cake wasn't eaten. A complete joke. Stay away. read more

Irresistible Cakes made our wedding cake over 10 years ago. Back then we were impressed by everything when we walked through the doors. Staff was warm & friendly, offered us more than 1 cake tasting appointment when we couldn't decide. We had SO many compliments on our 3 tier cake with flowers (mocha buttercream w/fondant). Their cakes are so light & airy yet still moist and delicious. They don't over do it on the buttercream and their fondant is so good compared to other bakeries where it's so sweet you have to peel it off the cake to enjoy the cake. My hubby decided to surprise me with a cake for our 10th anniversary, mocha buttercream just like our wedding cake. No difference in taste, it was as if I was at my wedding enjoying cake all over again. Since those 2 occasions we have started buying all of our cakes from them. The only reason we waited so long was the distance. It takes a good 40 minutes there & back. They now have 3 locations to pick up from in addition to their Woodbridge showroom & order desk: Scarborough, Brampton & Mississauga. A bonus for us, they are a nut free bakery, we found out 3 years ago that one of our kids has a nut allergy. For the last 3 years Irresistible Cakes has made birthday cakes for our kids as well as our anniversary cakes, Mother's Day cakes, Baptism cake for our son etc. All we had to do was show them what our themes & colours were and they delivered! Never had a cake from them that we didn't love! They are nut free, lactose free & trans fat free! I ordered my wedding cake from ICakes for June 2nd. The cake was great but I was really disappointed in the cake topper I paid 45 dollars for. In the store they look solid and when I got it it's this cheap piece of wood that I could literally snap in two. Not happy at all considering I was being pressured by staff to get one and when I wanted to remove it they had already put the order through even tho it was at least 4 weeks till my wedding. Brides beware of crap that people push on you to get for your wedding. You can easily go to michaels or Etsy and get stuff for way cheaper. read more

Our wedding is September 2nd 2017. We chose a 3 tier strawberry vanilla wedding cake. 9 days before our wedding we get a call from irresistible, telling us we have to change the flavour of 2 tiers. Because 3 tiers of strawberry vanilla would collapse. When we went in to explain that we should have been told this before we even left a deposit back in October 2016. The "manager" did not take responsibility. And said if the cake collapsed. It would be our fault for not changing the flavours. But we should've been called since February when they changed there policy about having more than 1 tier of strawberry vanilla. They purposely waited 9 days before our wedding. So now, if we cancel we lose 30% of our deposit. Although, if we were told 2 weeks before our wedding.we could've gotten our money back. We were also, only now informed that there "911 service" ends at 6pm. So if something happens to your cake after 6pm. Its on you! And our reception starts at 6pm. If it collapsed after that. Its embarrassment we could've avoided. The "manager did not take responsibility for calling us 9 days before, and started to ignore us when we came in to get back our deposit. In the end, we changed one tier. Hopefully all goes well on our wedding day. Customer service was horrible. I would NOT recommend this company. Now, its the day after the wedding. We purchased both the bridal shower and the wedding cake at Irresistable Cakes after seeing their displays in their store and also taste tasting the different flavours. We ended up being dissatisfied with the look of the shower cake. It was not the colours we had requested and not as nicely shaped as the one in the store showroom. We went in to express our concerns to Alex (who btw turns out to be one of the owners) and Dominic and to ask for our deposit of the wedding cake to be refunded so that we could order it elsewhere. After much going back and forth, they persuaded us not to cancel our order. They discounted a bit of the shower cake on the order we had placed for the wedding cake...and Dominic gave us his personal guarantee that he himself would see to it that the cake was "PERFECT" before being delivered to the banquet hall on the wedding day. Well, turns out it wasn't...it was very lumpy. The four tier cake we ordered was quite expensive (over $1,000 before taxes) so we expected it to look just as we were promised it would. After things had calmed down following the wedding, we went back to inform Alex and to show him a cellphone photo of the cake. His main concern was why we waited weeks to bring it to his attention, and insisted it could have been the lighting and angle of the way the cellphone photo was taken that made it look lumpy. He asked us to email him more pictures...preferably taken by our professional photographer. We did, and he did not bother to respond to our emails. Also, we found out recently that although we had ordered all four layers of the cake to be different flavours, turns out the top layer (which we had frozen to eat later) was the same as one of the bottom layers and not the flavour that it was supposed to be. This is totally unacceptable since it took a while to taste test and narrow it down to the four flavours we liked the best. We even had to go back for a final appointment before the wedding day....to ensure the order was correct and everything was written on the contract. Since most couples save the top layer to eat on their first anniversary, this further proved how deceptive and irresponsible they are. So needless to say, we are extremely disappointed with Irresistable Cakes and will NEVER use them again for any other occasion. Nor will we recommend them to anyone else. Do yourselves a big favour and order a more professional cake elsewhere....as it will save you time, money, and aggravation. read more

I am beyond furious! I consider myself fairly lax when it comes to certain things -I am one to understand that mistakes happen. But they did a bad job. We have been asking my daughter since January what kinda cake she wanted. Not princesses... not characters like Dora... Nope... she wanted a school bus cake. The girl had spoken, so we decided to go with Irresistible Cakes in Woodbridge as I had got my wedding cake from them years ago. Since the order I placed 3 weeks ago, I had called on 3 occasions about the order and confirmed the pick-up location, as they had a location in Scarborough to pick up the cake. I called today to see if the cake was ready for pick up today. Of course they say yes. Then I get a call back to advise me that their delivery person missed the order and that they would need me to come to Woodbridge. After some back and forth, they agreed to drop it off at my residence. As upset as I was about the situation, I would have gotten over it, since it was a mistake after-all. However, I finally get the cake this evening and it was a hot mess. NO EFFORT WHATSOEVER! Did they make the cake last minute? Did they not care because it was for a four year old? Or did they do this out of spite for asking to have it delivered to me? I am thoroughly disappointed. Of course its not the end of the world, but as a paying customer, I expect my money's worth. Screwed up my wedding cake and did not give a damn. I ordered a two-tier wedding cake from iCakes. Since we lived nearby, we decided to pick up the cake ourselves. When ordering the cake, they assured us that the cake will be properly packaged so that we can deliver ourselves. When I was picking up the cake the day before the wedding, I noticed to my dismay that the fondant was uneven as if the baker was making the cake for the second or third time in his life. I asked why it is like that, the guy in the store said because "it was a manual work plus the cake had fruits inside". I had no choice but to get this cake since it was too late to find the cake anywhere else. On the wedding day I lifted up the top cover of the box and saw that a piece of fondant on the top tier got stuck to the box; I had to fix this with the buttercream. When we brought the cake to the venue, the cake shifted from its base and the fondant on the cake stand got messed up as well. This cake was just embarrassing. I was so disappointed! When I called iCakes the following week, I did not even heard an apology, not talking about any money back. Instead, they offered me 20% off my next order. Really? REALLY? iCakes, you can stick your discount in your *ss! I will never buy from you, and not recommending anyone to buy here! read more

I would never ever recommend this company to do any cake for me again let alone a wedding cake. When I was ordering my cake the gentleman taking my order did not write down anything I asked for. I called once I got home and noticed the problem. When I picked up my cake it had fondant on it not the buttercream that I asked for. The cake wasn't the colours that I asked for. They did change the colour but they refused to take the fondant off the cake and ice it properly instead telling me fondant is more expensive so I should be happy. When I finally cut and served the cake it was dry and almost no icing on it. The ratio of cake to icing was way off. I am soooooo glad this was NOT my wedding cake as I would of been so embarrassed to serve this cake to my guests. The cake I ate at the wedding show and the cake tasting was fantastic compared to the actually cake I got. DO NOT USE this company if you want a good tasting wedding cake. read more
