Service: A++ The young lady helping me was very patient and after doing a thoughtful evaluation of my feet and running/walking began the process of trying on several recommendations. She patiently tried different shoe brands, styles and inserts, each time allowing me to go outside and run up and down the sidewalk to get a feel for them. Never felt pressured to buy anything. I was looking for Hoka shoes for work. I am a nurse that's on my feet a lot at work. (I also have chronic back pain). Several of my coworkers wear Hokas & really like them. I didn't want to just order them on line. I wanted to make sure they fit right. I went to this store last week & Tina & Jen(in training) helped me out. They did a thermal imprint of my feet & then watched me walk. I tried on several different shoes-one was by New Balance-with them watching me walk in each of them. I also tried different inserts. I ended up with Hokas. I have worn them to work. I am still getting use to them but am confident they will help. Tina was extremely helpful & knowledgeable. On top of which I only paid $139 for the shoes! Just looking online for Hokas, I was expecting to pay more. So if you need shoes, go see them! read more

So we had been coming to IRun since we started this journey of running. I waited a week after visiting before I posted this review to make sure I wasn't just been ridiculous of the situation that happened. I want to begin by saying that I try to support local companies as much as possible due to the personalized service that they should give. Here is what happened we went on a Saturday to original just buy some socks but they were having their Christmas in July sale so we bought some other items including the socks. They were having a buy 3 for get 1 sale on feetures socks which I usually buy but wanted to try the toe running socks and there was a sign in that section advertising buy 3 get 1 free, I was like awesome I will give these a try. Once we left the store I noticed on the receipt that the toe socks didn't ring up as buy 3 get 1 free. My wife went in with the receipt, ended up return a pair of them because they said it wasn't on those individual socks even though there was a sign in that section. They would not honor their mistake, now I know what they are going to say well it says the brand of socks on sale but the sign was in the middle of this section so why was it there. This is a privately own business that you would assume you would always get great service but don't be fooled you get the same service that you would at a big company. I will never again support this business either as a retailer or run sponsor. This review isn't about one instance it is the last instance that I write this review about. read more

If I could give it no stars I would. Customer service is poor. The sales person Julie is very unprofessional and needs patience. The first 5 minute of my experience talking with her she was rude & interrupted me mid way in my sentence to shut me up asking if my 13 year old son could talk because she rather have the conversation with him. I was simply trying to explain MY GOAL IN PURCHASING certain shoes for my son. Since I would be the one to make the purchase not an underage child. I certainly believe in supporting local businesses, but definitely not this type of behavior. Horrible, do not bring your kids. You'd get better service @ dicks or champs. Also don't ever ask a parent if a kid can talk in that form because you can discourage a child if they have speech impediment or learning disability to not be able to produce the answers your question. Hear the parent out & find cues to see if it's a reasonable question to ask! read more

My husband and I are VERY pleased with the great services we got few days ago at this store. We went to return our inserts that I had overlooked in my car for returns...we only wore them for 2 days. I told the lady I would like to get store credit if possible. Come to find out we were just a few days late after their "due date" for returns. She said she was sorry while pointing to the policy rules on the receipt. I asked to speak to the manager. He said it was not a problem and while he was checking the inserts, giving us credit my husband told him about his shoes giving him pain on the top of his feet as well as the bottom feet too...he decided to remove the shoe laces and he felt so much better!!! He loved them but of course they were flopping off/on when he walks but he didn't care because they were so comfortable. The manager told my husband that he probably would benefit with wider shoes. We thanked them for their services and said we will be back. We were just right outside the store when my husband said "why don't we get a wider shoe now". I hesitated to ask, but then I agreed with him...we went right back in and asked if they had a wider pair. Manager looked it up and unfortunately they didn't but he found one that was similar. He explained that they had to order it and it will not be available until possible after the new year. We were okay with that and so now we can't wait. Finger crossed!!! read more

Just spent 15 minutes waiting for the next available employee to just be ignored and passed over by one of the older employees for a lady customer who walked right in to be helped. Now I kept it together and my wife, who is 5 months pregnant looked at me and said let's go! We were actually there for her since she needed some help getting a comfy pair to walk Disney. As I'm walking out I was fuming and jumped on Yelp. Some people would've said something and I'm not those people but I sure was going to be for my wife but we had other things to do anyway so we pushed on. This is the second time this place has done this mind you. The iRun in Stone Oak pkwy has been helpful to my wife in the past and we will simply stop going to this location on 1604. I really wish I could give a better rating but I haven't been helped there in two visits so really deserves no stars. read more

Stone oak location gets 5 stars!!! Bitters location gets 1...I walked in knowing what I wanted. I was asked what I needed when I walked in and I told the young lady what shoe and size I was there for, instead of getting it she said "we will be right with you." 20 minutes later, still no help and no shoes. I ultimately left the store with nothing when I would have made a purchase in less than a minute if the employee would have brought out what I asked for. First time to visit. The staff was very polite, professional and knowledgeable about what you want to achieve in running. They were able to talk through the anatomy of the body and explain what your body is doing or wants to do while running. I would give a 5, but it seems like there needed to be more staff on hand for the amount of customers waiting. If you visit, ask for Matt. This guy helped us out a lot. Today was my first time to this place and if the service is like it was today, this will be the only place I go to shop for shoes. I walked in and was greeted by Christian H, very friendly guy. I told him the problem I was having. He had me walk then jog a bit, and the words of Emeril Lagasse," BAM!" Came out with some shoes for me. I wasn't in that store very long and he didn't bring out thousands of shoes for me to try on. Also, they aren't trying to sell you the most expensive shoe in the store. He had a newly released saucony shoe but suggested for my feet the Brooks, which was a cheaper buy because of the fit and support the brooks had. Again, runners, wanna be's like me or just looking for a good shoe that don't hurt your feet and want the help of knowledgeable folks, this is the place to come get those shoes.... read more

Apparently, I've been wearing shoes that were too small for nearly a decade - which spans the entire time period I was buying my running shoes online.
