I went through the main entrance and got told that the entrance was at the home depot side, so I had to carefully back out and make my way. All fair - I have to respect the line and other people's time. There were 3-4 vans ahead of me and I waited maybe 20-30 minutes. The process was smooth as someone who's not in the industry. 1) Go in and get your car weighted 2) Get directed to a spot where you will unload all your metal 3) Head towards the exit to get reweighed 4) Get paid As someone not in the industry, I was just given the value of the weight in light iron, because they wanted to get me out and not sort whatever metal I had. Thankfully I didn't have anything valuable like copper. Unfortunately, the gave me 5 cents a pound and valued everything as light iron. I had a 100 pounds (or so I'm told) and got paid $5 for it. Not worth the manual labor nor the gas used. The staff here are pretty accommodating and will direct you as needed. Not the most welcoming but definitely not rude either. When I called, I was told they would sort the metal I had for the appropriate prices. No such thing happened. They just want to get people in and out.

They showed up on time, packed everything very well and quickly. They were also very fun and friendly, very well mannered. I honestly thought that the moving process is stressful by default but those guys made me change my mind! I was presently surprised how quickly stuff was moved to London, they had great prices too! Inability to do a good job on the first clean, e.g., I bring a shirt, point out the stains, and come back to see the stains still there. I then point out the stain again, and they take note of it and clean it again. After the second clean, the stain is gone. Why not take note of the stain the first time? 2. They're incompetent tailors. They take shortcuts and do not take ownership of their work. I have taken a pair of pants to get a basic hem (not origin hem) and they came back with poor stitching. I even provided a sample that had been worn for six months, albeit by Alteration Specialists, and its stitching looks better. The adage, you get what your pay for is true. Want poor quality go to Brothers! 3. They are flat-out rude and dismissive. For instance, they demand payment and don't respond to "thank yous" or basic questions in regards to garment care. If Fort Greene wasn't a dry cleaning desert I'd go elsewhere. Come to think about it, I'll do a dry cleaner test and report back on the best one in the neighborhood. If you're OK with poor service and quality, then Brothers Cleaners should be your go-to.

I am extremely keen on sanitation and keep my spaces neat and clean. So, I was actually taken aback when an attendant asked if I "dirtied the bathroom" after my simply going in to grab paper towels and wipe down a personal item. It was accusatory, nasty, and unnecessary. I felt humiliated, as a big production was made of cleaning whatever the dirt/mess was, and the bathroom was locked immediately behind me, after it had been open for at least the hour or so that I'd been there. Bear in mind, there were several guests in the laundromat during the time I was (around 2:30pm). So it could have been anyone who allegedly dirtied the bathroom. When I approached another staff member about the poor way I was handled, she didn't react or apologize. Just nodded her head. This bizarre and rude encounter was not on par with the customer service that I've received here. I was actually appalled to be treated with such discourtesy and incivility where I spend my hard-earned, NYC dollars on a regular basis. TUH.

This machine was not marked for reserve. I could understand if it was for drop off service not potential customers not in house. This morning she had all the small washers held for incoming families. Not sure if this is a common practice to reserve washers for potential customers vs letting customers already in house utilize the washer for the 20 or so minutes. I've visited this laundry several times first time I've came across this issue. I hope this will not be an ongoing issue.

Initially they did calculations wrong and overcharged us so we asked the guy when we went to pick it up he was so apologetic and offered a $2 credit. He also adjusted all the Calculations and said the lady was new. They packed my laundry like it was going to be shipped overseas. It was so tightly packed and beautiful and smelled AMAZING! They even used softener. I highly recommend dropping your laundry here. Everything was perfect. Everything came out to a little under $50 but it was A LOT OF STUFF!

This has been one of the most pleasant outsourced experiences I've had thus far.
