We found this place by chance and we are glad we did! My husband and I went there because it was…read moreclose and have not gone anywhere else for almost a year now. We showed up there with bags containing 200 plastic and can bottles hoping that they would trust our count was correct. The guy saw my husband whip out his notepad with his calculations and that was clearly enough for him to take our bags and give us cash. I can not say they will do that for everyone and they may get upset if people read this and show up like we did but I don't care....they are professional and have always been nice on the phone and in person. One thing I will say is that you may find some less than fortunate people turning in bottles as well but don't be put off, they don't seem to bother anyone and look to be regulars. We recently had tons of bottles accumulated in our basement and thought it would be such a pain to bring down there until I remembered seeing on their site they had pick ups for certain amounts. I called and asked what the minimum pick up amount was. I scheduled it and my husband handled everything with them. He said they were very cool and friendly, helped him with the bottles and handed him the cash and receipt. I enjoy working with this company and there is nothing better than recycling and getting paid for it! So now that summer is here and we are drinking more and more water, why not recycle for cash instead of just tossing them away :)

At first I thought the guy couldn't make up his mind on where I needed to pull the car over in the lot. I didn't realize I was driving on and off the weigh station. He didn't tell me what was going on so I was a bit confused. However it was a very busy morning and now I know the process . I will definitely go again if I need to drop off heavy scrap metal . Having driven by Atlantic Recycling I decided to give them a try. Weight scales are separated by the metals material element. And, although the amount you receive for your scrap is relatively minimal, I'm happy getting any money in return. Atlantic Recycling also has an auto salvage section that can extend to the street and sidewalk. All on display as you drive or walk by. They sell used auto parts too.

They just say find someone else…read more They service over 700 locations and apparently my store is not good enough for them Don't know what happened but after 2 years of servicing us, Metro decides to change and no longer service us for garbage disposal. After a month on us contacting them, the manager Mark decides to tell us to find someone else. Instead of investigating the matter, he insists it's our problem and not his. If you have a problem, don't expect it to be addressed.

Lines are bad on heavy days, Brooklyn's traffic causes you to wrap around the block. While I wait I usually turn my vehicle off and watch the heavy machinery working,so not bad if you like construction and destruction! They inspect which is good so they know what you bring in,they've even helped me determine the material! But when you go for your Check (NO CASH) they serve whoever's ticket they have at the moment,not first.The actual payout is done at a check cashing place 5 min away(understandable not keeping that much cash on site). The staff are stern, but friendly working men. They've gone the extra mile to help me at times, so I appreciate the staff dearly! Overall,they pay good but it's usually congested traffic wise.....but then again so is the rest of Brooklyn! #4.5#
