This is a high value camp. My daughter learned sewing machine basics, draping, dress design sketching, and how to up-cycle. My daughter is 11 and has attended a number of Isabel Azam fashion camps since she was 7. She loves them. They are so creative, fun, and positive. This is definitely not a simple sewing camp. The kids get the opportunity to learn about design, sketching, patterns, fitting, sewing, materials sourcing, the creative process, public speaking when they present their designs, teamwork, and more. These classes are so positive and fun. Everyone's ideas and style are welcome and supported. I really appreciate having the opportunity for my daughter to attend camps. We worked with the owner to create a dreamy birthday party for an 8 year old girl and her friends. Jaleh listened to our idea, turned it into a manageable project for 12 8 year-olds, helped us pick the fabrics and trims, and even designed the invite. The day of the party was perfect - the set up was beautiful and the girls had the pleasure and pride of learning how to make their own skirt, that they now proudly wear.
