Since then, I've discovered all the things that were wrong with the job - the latest of which was today: 1) They beam reinforcements broke through my upstairs floor, so it's not level and we've had to build over and around it since (they used a steel i-beam, so not able to replace or repair easily); 2) The cinder block repairs were unnecessary- what I needed was a foundation repair; 3) They broke boards in the floor while jacking the ceiling and did a shoddy job throwing 2x4 in place that wasn't flush with the floor; 4) In the bathroom, they didn't repair the toilet properly, so I had three wax rings and a toilet that was connected to nothing (started leaking into my ceiling last week, now getting repaired properly by a plumber). 5) When they did the work, because I paid Mark up front, what should have been done in a few weeks took about three months. He'd go for long periods with his guys not showing up before they'd come back. Having now done more real estate investing and remodeling, I recognize that he was probably upside down on cash flow and was doing jobs to keep paying his guys and slotting us in where he could. There are some other items, but I strongly recommend that you look for another contractor for any serious job you do.

When I got home I found the front door unlocked and tracked cement and dry wall throughout my entire ground floor. They also dumped their unused cement in my planter boxes. On top of everything being covered in dust, one of them had explosive diarrhea, covered my toilet in feces and left their soiled underwear in my bathroom. I was absolutely appalled by their lack of professionalism and how unsanitary their practices were. John pretended to be very apologetic and assured me he would pay for cleaning services at the end of the project. It's been weeks now of me trying to get a hold of John, but he's been ignoring all of my calls and texts. This has been an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience. 0/10 do not recommend their services at all.

Ultimately they suggested it could be a problem with the stones in the wall. Disciple came out, recommended a strategy of replacing a couple of stones, re-pointing the rest of the area and applying sealant over the whole section. Work was scheduled promptly. The guys were very friendly and professional. The job was finished within 10 days (mortar needed to cure before sealant could be applied) and it looks great. Now we have to wait for a horrific rainstorm to see if that solves the problem.

They were highly rated and the pictures were beautiful, however the conversation with those landscapers were so dull. Then Ami arrived! When I asked him for advice and delivered ideas, I was greeted with optimism and great imagination! Ami is quite artful (even in his personality and words) and knowledgeable about his craft. Very fun and comforting to work with. I made a huge mistake by adding about 480 cubic feet of dirt along the bordering gate in my backyard - naively hoping to build an XXXL raised garden bed. Ami was the only professional who disagreed. All the dirt was removed from the gate the next day! He indeed saved me from damaging my gate and losing tons of money in months to come. His insight is trustworthy. Regarding execution, the work was done incredibly fast and well. Ami's crew is friendly, considerate and even thoughtful about some parts of my yard that wasn't even discussed. Very proactive and kind.
