This business is in serious need of new management. I took in a very sentimental and valuable, to…read moreme, piece of original artwork, in the original frame, just to be reframed. I made it clear how valuable this item was to me. The frame was still in very good/excellent condition. I took them everything they needed. I just wanted them to put it all together and seal the back professionally, adding the proper hanger on back for me. Easy right? Especially for a business that claims to be a "fine art and custom framing" shop/gallery. They were more expensive than other places I had checked but I always try to give small local businesses my money instead of taking it off the island. Well in this case it was a mistake. A big one. I had to bug them to death to get it done. They kept saying we're so busy, sorry check back. Finally they called and said it was done. When I went to pick it up they immediately started apologizing, saying this had never happened in all their years of doing business. Lucky me right? Well they went on to tell me that they had accidentally used my frame for someone else's work. So they had just framed mine in a "hobby lobby" looking frame and expected me to be happy and grateful. Well sorry but not sorry. I told them this was unacceptable that i had made it very clear to them how special my piece was and I was shocked that they had done this. I told them surely they knew who they had my given frame to so couldn't they call them and get it back. Well they said they had already tried that and the person had already drilled my frame to the wall! First of all I think this is a lie because it was a skinny, antique frame that wouldn't have held up to that abuse. But I decided to accept what had been done because at this point I sensed it was a lost cause. I did insist they frame my picture in a frame that looked exactly, as much as possible, like the one I had originally brought in. This they agreed to and had it ready for me one week later. They didn't offer me any kind of refund whatsoever. Granted I didn't ask. But really, at this point should I have had too? A reputable business would have insisted in doing so, since the mistake was entirely 100% theirs. They did do a good job and that's the reason I gave them two stars. But it makes me sad and angry at having been treated this way. Before this I had enjoyed shopping there because they carry some antique items and original art that I was planning to one day invest in. Well they have completely lost my business and trust. There's too many nice places on the island that have most of what they have so I'll be taking my money there. As for custom framing, I will sadly be going off the island from now on.

Came here with a group of 7 UTMB medical students as a social outing for a scholars program. Amy,…read morethe owner, immediately greeted us and was accommodating when some of our classmates flaked (Gen Z, am I right?). We decided to do the medium-sized glass bowls and had a blast. We sat at a long table that could seat at least 10 as we chose our different colors and cuts. Two other large groups were in the studio and even added to the lively ambiance. Amy walked us through the process and then checked on us intermittently to make sure the process was going okay. We had a lot of fun doing something crafty with each other and I would highly recommend it for a work outing or large group social. My only regret is not getting a beer or two while we had the chance! Didn't realize until late that they offered drinks as well. My bowl was ready a few weeks after. And yes, I know it looks like a Turkey.

After our experience, I chose to reach out privately by email rather than just leaving a negative review. My goal wasn't to complain I genuinely hoped the feedback would help improve the experience for future families and visitors. Unfortunately, I never received any response or acknowledgment. What disappointed me most wasn't even the original visit it was realizing afterward that there didn't seem to be any interest in hearing customer feedback. A simple reply, acknowledgment, explanation, or even "thank you for taking the time to share this" would have gone a long way. I understand businesses get busy and not every message can result in a full resolution, but being completely ignored after taking the time to provide detailed, respectful feedback reinforced the same feeling we had during our visit: that customers were more of an afterthought than a priority. I still think the space itself has a lot of potential, which is why I reached out privately first. I just wish the customer experience had matched it.

Recommend the services of this company, which are truthfully quite unique. I had a Mata Ortiz piece sent to me by GALLERY out of Santa Fe. The piece was damaged And perimeter restored it to next to original condition. Given that it was clay pottery Aubry's insistence on excellence is what restore the peace to the point that if you inspect it currently you would be quite skilled if you could find where the flaws had been that he repaired. Secondly, he seems to have inside and apparently himself collects very nice pieces, and I acquired from him a Gorman, which he then matted and framed and did an incredible job, simply incredible and enhanced the visual presentation of the peace. Lastly, he's in the process of putting back together a Fish kill from the green river, which was literally in hundreds of pieces that is a project in process right now and I'm awaiting the results in any case I would highly highly recommend this GALLERY both for batting and framing perhaps for acquisition of pieces and clearly for repair of pieces to museum quality

They have been so patient with us through this whole ordeal. When the Tornado hit Rowlett, TX on December 26 2015, we never expected our Insurance Company to fail us; to lie to us. We turned to InsuranceBusters.net for help just in time; they have been honest and up-front from the beginning. They make you feel educated about everything that is going on; I never once felt belittled or undermined about my situation. They were able to explain a lot that was going on, and they are still helping us out. What I also love about them is that they are kid-friendly folks. I have a young child and not once were they disturbed by that fact. I have and will continue to recommend InsuranceBusters.net to anyone and everyone that will hear us out. I just want to thank you Melanie and Cal for all of your hard work you put into this big mess. We appreciated everything that you have done. No disaster is too small or too big for them to handle.
