They currently have a special for a $5.00 battery replacement and that brought me in the door. My battery was loose and didn't need to be replaced which immediately illustrated their ethics and professionalism. Oaks Pawn is so much more than a Pawn Shop. They are far more a Jewelry store as Jason and Amber are both GIA accredited and so knowledgeable. These guys and Oaks Pawn are an asset to Brunswick. The info about the liberty ships, the blimps, and the amount of soldiers lost on Coastal Georgia was amazing. The information regarding the Black Outs was new to me and learning loose lips may sink ships came from this WW2 movement in coastal Georgia was interesting. The community spirit was alive and reading the room and doing the interactive games for identifying planes and navigating the blimp put us right there. We enjoyed the boathouse and the center visit. It was informative and the volunteers who are there are a wealth of knowledge and they make it even better.

I had to come in four times to finally get to order my glasses. Very frustrating. I had an annual appointment for June, but my eye doctor has retired. They did call me about two months early to let me know which I appreciated, but the retirement letter I was also sent was dated in January. So they waited 3 months to notify me. Availability is not their strength. Once you're there, they are wonderful but it's not worth the frustration to get in.
