I chose this place because I was desperate to see someone for the pain I have been experiencing. I had gone to urgent care who had told me if the pain persisted to see an orthopedic doctor. It did and this place had appointments for the following business day, so I took it. As soon as I walked in I felt like I made a mistake but kept telling myself just to go through with the appointment so I could get an answer and treatment. The place is extremely run down and crowded, it has the feel of an ER waiting room. As people have mentioned in other comments - staff at check in and check out are unfriendly. I didn't find them rude just not friendly. They called me to the hall and also asked me why I was there (no privacy). The PA gave me two scripts, one for an MRI and another for physical therapy. When I checked out I was asked if I wanted to do the MRI and PT there, hard no. I. wanted to get out of there. They referred me to Lenox Hill Radiology. I called to make the appointment only to be told that the script was incomplete. I needed another one. I called Island Musculoskeletal SEVERAL times and after going through the phone tree just get a voicemail. With all the people working there it is frustrating not to have anymore answer the call or call back. I recommend if you have other options look at those. This should be your last resort. read more

This is the worst place you can go for spine treatment. It takes the doctor 2 weeks to finish his notes. Therefore no one is ordering any tests until after 2 weeks. The office experience is horrible no one answers the phone and the quality of care doesn't exist. read more

A lot of lack of information given on my specific injury, google and my physical therapist gave me better direction. No direction on when to go back, restrictions etc.... office staff seemed to have an attitude problem and lack of insurance knowledge. They keep pushing difficult exercises- beyond painful and have patients scheduled for a specific time only to have them wait 1-2 hours. They don't even follow up with patients who walk out because of the LONG wait. There are better PT places. Don't wait, just move on. read more

i attempted to get help for my leg pain from this terrible practice by following their online appointments instructions using ZocDoc, this before checking Yelp's reviews and boy what a mistake that was. I first made an appointment with a Physical Therapist, and after having the appointment confirmed went to the office and was told no PT appointments are notallowed without seeing a doctor first. So they made an appointment to see this so-called doctor for the next day, which I also confirmed online by providing all of my insurance info and ID docs for the second time. I got to the office a half hour early and after a half hour passed by I was called to the receptionist window and was asked to give my insurance info and ID for the third time. In addition, I was asked to fill out a half dozen sheets of questionaires covering all the information I had given online two times before. Finally, the office worker calls me into a hallway between the waiting area and the doctor offices and begins to ask me what my problem was. I told her it would be better if I explained it to the doctor, and with that she askes me to wait while she fetches the doctor. The guy comes out and in a rather confrontational manner asks me specifically what my problem was. I told him about my leg pain and also of my shoulder problem which I wanted to consult with him. I had provided him a recent ultrasound report of my leg problem and also an MRI report I had done a year ago. After bickering back and forth for a minute or two he tells me he can't see me until he reviews my records and then walks away. I came home and finally looked for reviews for this god forsaken place, and then realized what a terrible record they have. The only words to accurately describe the office that immediately come to mind are total dis-organization, abject disregard for the patient and unprofessional conduct. read more

RUN! please don't go here you will be so sorry. I had a 4:45 appointment and was not seen until 8:15! This place treats people so horribly. The entire place is riddled in filth it looks like it's never been cleaned. It's more like Jail cell. It's a factory. Some douchey guy who calls himself Dr. Sussman calls you in a room and leaves you there for hours. After almost 4 hours of waiting I wasn't even seen by the doctor! I was seen by the physicians assistant! Who couldn't have been older than 25 and gave me an injection for a cyst I had in my hand. The doctor did come to look at my hand for maybe 45 seconds? Not even a full minute. Needless to say the injection didn't even work. My cyst is still there and I will never in my life go back to this place. The was truly the most awful experience I've ever had visiting a doctor. read more

Honestly terrible. They do not care whatsoever about their patients. Communication is absolutely terrible. I will 100% be looking into reporting this office and everyone that works there. They do not call you back. They do not answer anything for you. They discard you like you are yesterday's garbage. I've been waiting 2+ months for a prescription and for results. I do NOT recommend this facility! It really doesn't even deserve 1 star! From beginning to end it was a very poor quality experience. The waiting room was overcrowded, out of date and dirty. There was a drunk or stoned man reclining on the ground next to the heavy, non-automatic door. The wait to be seen was over an hour from the appointed time. I had a referral to see an orthopedic doctor but was only seen by an assistant. The X-ray machine was one the floor. How could they Lay my leg on that if I was sitting in a chair??? Not physically possible! They directed me to walk as much as I could tolerate. I needed the bathroom after being there for around 3 hours and again, it had a heavy manual door (in a medical office where patients will have non-functional limbs) no grab bars, and was unpleasantly dirty. It took a further 45 minutes to get checked out. Needless to say, my next step was to get a referral to a Montefiore orthopedic dr., which is what I recommend for anyone reading this. Night and day. I haven't been seen yet but this doesn't look good. It looks like a bad emergency room when you enter. Staff overwhelmed and unfriendly, a sign talks about "trying to be punctual but...". They started off with me badly with a call the week before my visit and the person calling did not seem to have a clue. I have a time limit on how long I'm waiting... I truly wish there was an option for "NO STARS". Stay away from this place. CityMD scheduled an MRI with Dr. Katsigiorgis for my 15 year old daughter at this establishment. When we arrived no one knew anything about her appointment and were extremely unhelpful and rude. Having to revert back to CityMD to confirm the appt. scheduling. They confirmed everything was set up. I don't know if this is a conflict from the scheduling dept. or just the people at the front desk who refused to look into this matter. I lost a day of work accepting a mid-day appointment that we ended up having to turnaround. I always goto Main Street Radiology but being she is only 15 I figured they would steer me in the right direction. Not only that. The place is dirty. Filthy, dirty facility from floor to ceiling. They treat their patients like cattle, and the burly, obnoxious 'gentleman' who ushers them into the examining rooms is rude and unprofessional. After waiting for 2 full hours to meet with the doctor to discuss the results of my knee MRI, this jerk had the nerve to flippantly suggest to me that I could reschedule my appointment. Wrong answer, buddy. How dare you. Doctor Katsigiorgis was very personable and I am sorry I will not be returning to his office because I did like him. But there is absolutely no way I will subject myself to another denigrating experience. This was, by far, the most downtrodden, unsanitary, unprofessional medical facility I have ever visited. Had to wait a few days but had to see doctor I am assigned to. Have Osteoarthritis flare ups etc., Booked me 9 am with Dr. Farakh. I am used to him he is no nonsense, brief and fast. Right to the point. And with the delta virus around I am glad about getting in and out of there as fast as possible. It gets very crowded even before 9 am appts begin. Because of the covid variant and my age etc , when I called Monday..Sandy booked me first appt. I was there before 9 am and it was already crowded. I was in and out within 30 minutes. I see they are rotating patients much faster than before with more than 1 Dr seeing people. My knees were x-rayed and PT approved again. Offered shot if needed or said come back if I want it. X-ray Tech always kind and assuring. Wish they were closer to home then I could use their on site PT facility as well. So for those complaining about waiting I understand what you mean because years ago when I broke a bone I went and had to wait a long time to be seen plus get an MRI. But I think they are trying to get better at it. The entire staff was very nice to me. They take all insurances and lets face it injuries happen ALOT. They have sites in the boroughs and Suffolk County as well as Nassau County where I go. It's just that so many people go to that facility on Long Island and the Dr's spread themselves out to all their facilities. Absolutely the worst doctors office i've ever been to. Waited 2 1/2 hours to be seen by a very young PA They ordered an Mri and wouldn't give me results for over a week while in terrible pain. They said the only way for me to get the mri results was for me to see a doctor, fine with me, but wouldn't have any appointments available for another 2 week . So it would have taken 3 weeks to get results. All this happening despite my repeated telephone calls where i was constantly put on hold for up to 20 minutes each time. I had to get my insurance involved and show up in person with a letter demanding the report. A total sham. Stay away. read more

If I could give no stars I would! Dr. Trepeta is a wolf in sheeps clothing! He seems great in office but truth is he doesn't do paperwork! My daughter was denied her orthotic shoes by insurance because he refused to put a diagnosis on her chart, return phone calls, return faxes etc. my daughters health decreased due to waiting From February till now(the end of may) for the approval and she was denied because Of his notes(or lack there of) and because the staff is terrible when it comes to everything! Not to mention they have you on hold for 20 min just to not do the things they are supposed to be doing! They need to be shut down for real! read more

I was referred to this practice by a hospital emergency room, after being treated for a broken wrist. Neither the office nor the waiting room gave a clean appearance. The doctor seemed ok, but did not spend very much time with me, nor did he explain the advantages and disadvantages of surgery, saying simply that he did not think surgery was necessary. When I had a question and tried to call, you can only reach the Valley Stream office directly in order to schedule an appointment. For anything else, you must call the central number for all of their many branches. After pressing several digits on the phone, you speak to someone, who connects you to the correct office. Then you may possibly speak to a human being, who leaves a message in the doctor's mailbox. Your call is not returned. Alternatively, you are connected to someone with a full voicemail box. I gained a fuller understanding of Kafka. Want your medical records (as I did, since I wanted to change doctors)? There is a central number for that as well, but the person is never at her desk. My husband and I wen there to get my records. They were extremely rude, said the doctor's voice notes had not yet been transcribed, but they would fax them as soon as they were ready. After over 2 weeks, I have yet to receive a fax. Armed with an exray, which we were able to extract from them, I went to a hand specialist, whose office is staffed with courteous human beings, and who spent about an hour with me. It turned out I did need surgery, which I was told would have been an easier procedure if it had been done earlier. Take your broken bones elsewhere. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. This place doesn't respect people time at all. Always behind on appointments. Staff calls out for physical therapy often which leads them to be under staffed. Dr hecht spends less than a minute with you on the room "evaluating you" . He is very quick and dismissive. For you to have been waiting for an extensive amount of time to be seen. Then when finally called only be in the appointment for less than a minute is terrible. This place is about money and not about care. The physical therapy is rapid and not interpersonal. My Fiance had an appointment with Dr. Goodman recently for a suspected torn hamstring and I have to say it was one of the worst experiences either of us have had with a physician and staff. I will start with his appointment was at 3pm. We saw a man check in for a 330pm appt about 20 mins after we did and after waiting an hour an a half we see the man with the later appointment get called in to see Dr. Goodman before me. When we questioned the staff they were dismissive and said we don't know how it happened. Ok, seems like you're running a tight ship there. Let's move on to when we are called in which is close to 5pm. Doctor calls us out of the waiting room and makes a comment "Looks like someone is in pain" at which point I nodded in agreement. We are then left in the room for another 15 mins. When he finally makes his way into the room and starts examining my hamstring his phone rings and he proceeds to say hold on I have to take this. He starts making baby talk to his nephew on the phone right in front of us. No sir, you didn't have to take that call you needed to be a professional and finish with the patient who is not only paying for your time and is clearly in pain as you said. Making baby talk to your nephew is not a priority. We were told we needed an prior authorization to get the MRI through his insurance. They have their own MRI office downstairs of course and never asked if I wanted to get it elsewhere. His initial appointment was on 8/29 and it's now a week later and they have made no attempt to contact my insurance company for approval. My fiance spoke to someone named Nicole who claimed to be a supervisor and was far from helpful. He spoke with her at 9am on 9/5 and she said she would speak to Dr. Sussman who does the PA's for the office and have him get it done. He calls again at 5pm and the Dr. is gone and there's still no PA approval for an MRI. The supervisor Nicole once again had no answers or reasons as to why it was not done. I won't even get into how filthy and loud the office in Valley Stream is. My fiance has worked in Medical sales for 15 years and he can honestly say this is an awful group practice that is more of a mill than an office who cares about their patients. Having to wait over a week and still have no PA approval coupled with being the one who has to keep contacting in order to remind them this needs to get done says enough. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy let alone a friend. read more
