Between the compound/open fracture and the other broken bones, my morning started off tragically wrong. Thankfully, Dr. Tam is more skilled than all the king's horses and all the king's men because he was able to put me back together again! Dr. Tam impressed me with his straight-forward "this is what I would do if it were me" approach. I like options, but he isn't afraid to tell you what the best option is. Before surgery, he put his hand on my shoulder and let told me, "You'll be alright." He assured me he would do his best. His tone and the warmth of a human touch comforted me. I was very impressed by his skill. This isn't his first rodeo and he is very familiar with the ins and outs of surgery. I'm pretty sure he gave me a Borg implant, take a look at the picture and tell me what you think! I hope I don't start saying, "Resistance is futile!" Nothing but praise for Dr. Tam and I highly recommend him. If you need his services then you're in a bad situation. Trust him and he will get you to recovery as fast as possible.

I don't as on a call with a friend when I was waiting to be seen. I had one ear bud in and I wasn't visible due to my hair. I finally get called into a private room where I then sit down to wait for the doctor to come in. The chair has my back facing the entry way of the door. Mr. Stracher then comes in after a few minutes waiting and rudely questions me asking me if im talking to myself with a very narcissistic tone. I then tell him that I am not talking to myself while I look at him in confusion. He then looks at me as if I'm lost and shouldn't be there for my appointment. He then beings to go back and forth with me when he never even introduced himself to me and explained anything. He didn't want to do his job and struck me as a very lazy combative doctor. He then tells me that I am a trespasser and that he's calling the police on me. Black people and black women DO NOT COME TO SEE THIS DOCTOR UNLESS YOU WANT HIM TO CALL THE POLICE ON YOU FOR SHOWING UP TO YOUR APPOINTMENT. This visit has me emotionally distraught and I wish that on no one. I left this doctors office worst than when I came in! He's not a good person go see for yourself. He is a highly valued person with the look of hope that things will get better. The clinic is very welcoming. It clean and well kept. The x-ray room is comfortable. But, at some point that's a pattern in my eyes. I called the office during office hours and left a message (no one had picked up). Said that although this was one of his office days the doctor was out of the office for a personal matter. Ok, made an appointment for the following Friday at 10AM. Took a day off to be there. Fast forward a week. I come in at 10AM. The doctor is not there yet - that he was delayed by the weather (it was sprinkling) no problem, I sit down to wait. About 10 minutes later Amanda tells me that she just texted with the doctor and because of the weather he was delayed - ok, I say ok I'll wait, how far out is he? In Syosset. I stuffer with that - you don't get 40 minutes delayed by drizzling rain. She apologized for the inconvenience. I told Amanda that I took a day off to see the doctor, and although I'm frustrated, to call me when he gets in and we can find a time today that I can still come in - since I took a day off specifically for this. At 1:25PM, over 3 hours later I get a call that the doctor got called out on an emergency and wouldn't be in today at all. And that she can reschedule at my convenience. My convenience? At my convenience I would have seen him TODAY, as scheduled. I struggle to believe that both stories I received in the same day were both true. Really disappointed - can't believe I burned a day off for this. As a side note: this office seems to focus on "no fault" insurance.
