Had a very enjoyable day!!! A group of 30 of us went for a day cruise on the river & into the Gulf for a bit. We chattered from 11am-3pm. Stopped for lunch at Whiskey River, which was arranged by the captain. Very relaxing trip with a little history thrown in. Thinking about doing a charter for Hub's 65th birthday coming up. read more

The owner of Paradise Charter was great to work with. We rented his boat for 2 hours to hold a memorial for my Dad who was an avid diver. He was great to communicate with by phone and was here when we agreed. He helped people with several disabilities including a walker get on board. He had a Bluetooth speaker that we were able to use to play my Dad,s songs. I was impressed with his respectfulness and kindness. We came from several Midwest cities for this and would recommend the experience to others planning a similar event. Finding the boat was a little confusing. Park in Catches waterfront grille and walk around the back of that tiki hut on the left and you will see it docked there. It was accessible except for the final step into the boat but he was very helpful and it was not a problem. We also could set up a memorial with pictures etc for the guests. read more

We arrived for our chartered cruise, loaded our gear and due to Capt Bob's/crew member's misunderstanding of the number of people we booked....HE CANCELED THE CRUISE FOR NOT ONLY US, BUT A SEPARATE GROUP OF APPROX 12. He forced us all to unload our gear and called my friend a liar in the process. My friend has used Capt Bob to charter cruises for the past 10 years, usually for 15 of his employees. This year he made the reservation for a smaller group as he has downsized his business. As everyone was still arriving, my friend approached Capt Bob to pay him for the cruise. When Capt Bob discovered we had a total of 8 in our party,, he became angry and said he was told there'd be 15. My friend tried to explain he would not have stipulated that many and Bob called him a liar. So, in a spectacularly unprofessional and asinine move, he announced that he would not be taking any of the two groups out today.Sounds like he cut off his nose to spite his face. Oh, so sorry Capt Bob, your greed cost you your reputation and our repeat business. read more

On March 22, 2024, my family hired the boat for a family reunion event. We went on a Sunset River Cruise with Captain Bob and first mate Captain Anthony. We had a fantastic time! Captain Bob took us out in the Gulf for a celebration of life for my father. The size of the boat was perfect for our group of 33. He was respectful and provided a needed service. The availability of waters and toilets on the boat was a plus as well with a 2 hour ride into open water and back. Would recommend to others. read more

We have not used this and never will due to seeing them at Anclote Islandband the unsafe way they bring their boat onshore. They crossed anchors with another boat, which caused it to pull up and the boat let go. When asked why they did that the captain was angry and rude and said thats their problem. Said they could pretty much do what they wanted to. That is a direct quote from the captain. Put others boats and people in an unsafe position. I called the main number and they hung up on me. I decided to book a boat ride for family that was flying into town to celebrate my moms home going celebration. I was using this trip to spread some of my moms ashes in the Gulf of Mexico. The trip was booked for 8/13/16 at $25 per person. We had 19 people which cost us $475 and was paid in cash as soon as we boarded. Captain Will and Seth were very attentive unfortunately they only had two days of experience. We were picked up at the North Channel directly behind our home. The boat ride was about 20-30 min to get to the first sandbar. Unfortunately we were only there for an hour until the Coast Guard official showed up. She stated to the crew and a few family members that the boat was in violation because it was partially docked on the sandbar which was illegal. If it was illegal to dock the boat there why would they have taken us there in the first place? The Coast Guard official was going to be inspecting the crew and the boat on that Monday, so the crew decided it was time to leave. They decided to take us to a second sandbar which took at least an hour to arrive. Our boat was booked for four hours so by this time we have already used up 1.5 hours just in traveling time alone. When we reached the second sandbar there was a HORRIBLE smell of sulfur or rotten eggs. The water was disgusting, there was no sand only rocks and the water was red for some unknown reason. We asked Will the driver of the boat if he could contact the owner Captain Bill to let him know how unhappy we all were and to see if he would offer a partial refund since our trip was ruined because we couldn't stay where we originally planned. We only got to spend one hour out at the original sandbar when we paid for four. Captain Bob was rude and refused to issue any sort of refund stating it wasn't his companies fault that the coast guard made us move. I was beyond hurt and upset considering this was already a tough time for me with my mom just passing. Bob didn't even offer us a discount or anything to make up for the terrible experience we all had. I think it was completely wrong and shows a lack of compassion and empathy during an already difficult time. Will and Seth apologized several times and explained how bad they felt but there was nothing they could do to help us since the company was owned by Captain Bob Hubbard. Beware of this company and MAKE SURE YOU DON'T PAY UNTIL THE END OD YOUR TRIP IF YOU'RE PAYING WITH CASH OR USE A CREDIT CARD SO YOU CAN DISPUTE THE CHARGE WITH YOUR CC COMPANY IF YOU ARE TREATED AS POORLY AS ME AND MY FAMILY WERE. Had the best day. Good music, beautiful beach and very friendly staff. Very attentive and quick to get what you needed. Beautiful boat with two bathrooms which was awesome since the island has no bathrooms. Very important for the ladies. Just a fun day all the way around!! read more

Captain Bob is great! His catamaran took a small group to the Sand Bar by Anclote Island. We stayed there for hours!!! Soft drinks, water & music were provided free of charge. A fantastic adventure for only $20.00!! If possible, I would go with Island Paradise every day. Unfortunately I live in Chicago, but when I go to Florida, this is the FIRST thing I would do. Very relaxing, great people, phenomenal beaches & shelling. Very peaceful sitting on the sand bar in the middle of the Gulf. read more
