I was…read moretold be Continental to bring it to a Continental dealer...that Continental deal did not measure the tire correctly and told me the tire didn't qualify for warranty because the tire tread had to be 8/32 or more. Not only did AMG remeasure my tire tread, once it was determined the tire had more than 8/32 they also worked with Continental to warranty the tire for me. The mechanic took 5 seconds looking and listening.... magically he pulls his head out from under the hood and says its the alternator. It needs to be replaced. Ok so i authorize the repair which included a new alternator, new tensioner pulley and a new serpentine belt. I came back the next day and paid a wopping $850 just so i wouldn't hear the noise anymore. Low and behold , once i finished paying, the same mechanic piped in and said " By the way... uhh youre still goimg to hear that grinding because you need a new AC compressor." . Thats a $900 dollar additional repair. In short, they got me for an $850 repair that i didn't need. I tried contacting them several times to resolve the issue and never received a call back. I was forced to pay a more reputable shop to actually fix the problem like professionals. AVOID BAYSIDE AUTO SERVICE AT ALL COST. They are more concerned with profit over quality.

Dropped off the car, got a couple of update texts with digital photos during the day. They diagnosed the problem as a brake fluid leak. I didn't like the look of some other parts in the photos, so asked them to do the extra work. Picked up the car the next day; brakes were just as soft as when I brought it in!! I called and brought the car right back. Didn't have a ride home, ‍ but they were nice enough to offer me a ride home. Pretty disappointed as a first time customer. Will update when I finally get the car back.
