My friends and I were looking to be on the water everyday while we were vacationing in Panama City Beach. The beach and pool are always a good time, but nothing beats being on the open water so we booked a catamaran ride through Island Time Sailing. We booked a good month in advance and the company was very communicative when we reached out regarding possible bad weather in the area during our trip. Well, the bad weather never came and the day arrived for our sailing. We arrived early as instructed and parking was not an issue. They share a space with The Dock PCB which is a waterfront bar. Island Time has a little booth off to the side where you check in and get your boarding passes. Once checked in, we grabbed some drinks at The Dock and patiently waited to set sail. The area has plenty of seating both covered and out in the sun. The dock is off to the side and I am not sure if it's exclusively for Island Time. We set up shop right by the dock and were first in line to board. If you want a prime seats on the boat, get there early like us. We were greeted by our captain Cristo so brought us on board. There we were introduced to Emma and Emily who made sure everybody had a great time on our trip. They were our bartenders, but they also anchored the boat, helped everyone out in the water and generally made the trip so much more fun. Give those girls a raise! Our trip to Shell Island was nice and smooth. They kept a steady pace and found a great spot to anchor. Once we anchored, we were free to do what we wanted for a few hours. They gave us clear instructions on watching the flags on the boat to know when it was almost time to go as well as when you needed to have your butt back on the boat. They also sound an alarm. There is absolutely no reason why you should miss getting back on board on time. The place we anchored was perfect. The water felt great. It was clean and had great access to a beautiful beach area which we explored a little bit. While we were in the water, a few different food boats came around for things like BBQ, tacos and ice cream. Emma and Emily were checking on us frequently and getting drinks for us when needed. On the ride back, Cristo even had enough wind to set the sail which was cool to see. The whole ride was filled with great music as well. Overall, we had a fantastic time on this excursion. I highly recommend it if you are visiting Panama City Beach. I will definitely come back next time I am in the area. read more

The crew members on this boat were having a great time. I believe the captain said it was Avery and Emily. They were having fun and Emily would even walk around and check refills. The sunset cruise was amazing. We saw huge pods of dolphins. The crew was very friendly and happy to help us with anything. Captain Clay was quite upbeat and was very knowledgeable about the area we were cruising. The crew Emma and Avery were very good. They were very helpful taking care of everyone. My daughter and I absolutely loved our sunset dolphin cruise. It was so beautiful, and we saw so many dolphins (even without drinking a lot of the infamous rum punch)! We went early June, and we were able to see so many pods with new baby dolphins... so beautiful and precious! The sunset was beautiful, and it was such a joyful, fun vibe. Lots of kids and families. We absolutely had a blast on the sunset dolphin trip! We saw a bunch of dolphins right next to the boat. Cheap drinks you can walk around and be comfortable on the boat we saw a great fireworks display that was so beautiful. It felt like a huge party boat with music and drinks and lights. We went on the snorkeling and dolphin cruise and had just the best time. The crew were amazing and really made the experience. Sarah and Carter were always around and super friendly. The drink and snack bar was really good and extremely affordable. Heath, our captain was also awesome, explaining the day, encouraging the kids to try various things, cheering folks on, and just bringing a great vibe. He also was able to get the sail out and handled the ship masterfully. We had plenty of time to do everything, saw several dolphins and so many fish, jelly fish, and other things while snorkeling. Dolphins and shell island snorkeling. Took the 3 hour trip and was pretty cool! Captain Heath, Sarah and don't recall the other girls name but they were awesome. Got to see some dolphins. Drinks on the boat was great even though it was at 7:30am. Heath says you on vacation and drinking before noon makes you a pirate. Snorkeling was ok not a lot to see but the island was super cool. Sand so white and water was perfect and clear. I would suggest it just schedule in advance so you can maybe go out late morning or early afternoon. read more

I'm writing this the morning after, and just wow! I'm a Florida native and I enlisted at 17 and spent almost 40 years of my life away from the Panhandle area. I came back to spend my my wedding anniversary ( every soldier should be so lucky as to marry his nurse!) and was looking for something to do for us and stumbled on this cruise. Yes, even after over a quarter decade together, wars, and all the world has thrown at us, we're still hanging on. Just wow...From the very beginning.... we were coming over from the family beach house near the Cape, and failed to factor in the hour time difference, so we were waaaaay early. My wife went and checked us in, and a few minutes later, she received a text that she'd forgotten something at the check in counter. When she got there, the hostess gave us 2 drink tickets to celebrate our anniversary. VERY unexpected experience, but quite welcome! We lounged in the shade until it was departure time watching the squirrels on the walking path, and just enjoying the view. Soon enough, we were called to board and the fun began. The crew was welcoming, courteous, and there was seating for all. Once we got under way, our captain did an awesome job taking us out to where we were surrounded by dolphins and did a great job of gently turning the boat so everyone could see. There were a couple of baby dolphins swimming with their mothers, so that was cool to see. Beverages and snacks were reasonably priced, and the 1t mate actually helped my wife bring our drinks back as there was a bit of choppiness due to another boats wake. THAT was above and beyond. We sailed out a bit more and caught a jawdropping Florida sunset...the kind I grew up with here. It was beautiful. I was torn between just watching and photographing it, so did a bit of both. After the sun made its way below the horizon, we did a slow turn and began the return. A few local Key deer made their way down to the beach 50 yards away and posed for photos. We did eventually have to return to moor the boat though. To summarize - great views, boat, crew, and sights. Something that must be so mundane to the the crew made an amazing difference to so many people, leaving them memories that will last forever. I can't recommend this place highly enough. read more

Planned this as part of our 45th anniversary while in Panama City Beach. Captain Clay and his crew were very friendly, accommodating, attentive and personable. Captain Clay made sure we saw lots of dolphins and had a great view of a dominate from the ocean. Catamaran was in great condition and felt very safe.
