Took my older kids on this on an evening. Fast ride with sharp turns and spins. We got a little wet but not soaked. Good music on the ride. We were able to see dolphins pretty close to the board. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because we went in one in Wisconsin and my kids said that one was better. read more

What a fun, fun, fun experience that we will be talking about for months to come! Signed up on line, got our confirmation and showed up ready for our boat ride. The cool looking little Airstream trailer is where you check in while being greeted by the most loveable, gentle and softest dog ever. Can't remember her name, but she sure was a lover (I have a picture of her in the pics I shared). We chose the Thrill Ride. They offer 4 different rides through out the day. 1)Thrill Ride, which gives you a 1/2 hr of speed, lots of donuts (spins), stopping on a dime, sharp turns and more donuts (spins). What a rush, plus there is music piped thru all the speakers on the boat which really makes the Thrill Ride that much more of a blast!! 2)Sunset Cruise 3)Night time Skyline Cruise 4)Fireworks Tour, this tour is run when the Louisville Bats baseball team have their fireworks show once a week. Captain Brochin does a great job making sure you enjoy your ride and as we talked to him more and more I could tell he has a lot of compassion when it comes to getting behind the wheel of the boat. He was very personable and knowledgeable as we found out he has many years under his belt as a Captain. I thought the pricing was very fair for what they offer. The boat is practically new, it's clean, very safe and fun. My wife wants to do the Night time Skyline Tour so we will be back to check that one out as well. Let me start by saying that we did NOT do the boat ride. That's because we didn't make it that far. We were running late and we called to let them know and ask what they wanted us to do. Completely our fault and I wasn't asking for a refund or anything. I just wanted to know if they were going to hold the boat and wanted us to go ahead and go down there or if they were going to run the boat on time as planned. Unfortunately, the man who answered the phone was extremely aggressive and rude, yelled at my daughter in law and told her they wouldn't hold the boat for us. Ok I still wasn't asking for a refund but I wanted to find out why the interaction went the way it did with my daughter in law so I called him back, at which time, he lied to me about even speaking to my daughter in law, and when I called him on it he said that he told her that he would hold the boat (yes, no question it was the same guy). He was aggressive with me as well and he identified himself as the captain of the boat, which gave me no confidence that we would be in safe hands on this boat. So we opted to skip the ride, feeling unsure about the ethics and attitude of this company. So my advice is be very careful with this company and whatever you do, don't make the very human error of being late. I don't expect a refund even now but a little basic respectful customer service should be the very least that this company should provide. Yet they don't! Engage at your own risk! read more

Definitely what you want to be doing for a thrill ride. All the people on the tour boats I'm sure we're saying "we should have done that". Awesome spins and turns and 50mph speeds over the waves. We just went today. It was so awesome that I will not be buying a pontoon boat, but instead a speed boat. If you think 50 bud is too expensive then you really don't value a good thrill ride. read more

So, I'm not sure that I can write a better review than Tim B. This is a MUST-DO attraction while in Louisville. I wanted to make sure that I wrote a review because they have only been open for 8-weeks and it's truly a business I want to see thrive. I found them through Groupon (check it out) but did not purchase through Groupon because I couldn't make a time commitment. I was on vacay and like to go with the flow. We arrived on a sunny Friday afternoon around 1pm and found no one there. Its surrounded by benches, grass, a playground, and a sprinkler park so there are things to do while waiting. We waited an hour (I was really committed to doing this) and then finally someone the captain and his mate showed up. By then, we let them know that 5 other customers had wandered off. The Captain acknowledged that they need someone to be at the trailer but one of the teens that usually help out was not there that day. Scheduling was the only reason why I as going to knock it down a notch but at the end of the day, this was by far the best fun I had in Louisville! I don't know how many times I thought I was going to flip out the boat but I didn't. It really was a "thrill". It was worth every bit of the $30 for 30 minutes. This is a thing to do - don't think twice! Oh, accessbility could be an issue from some. You do have to walk up/down stairs to the dock and you must also be able to climb into the boat. read more

I really regret writing this review since I have never written one in my life. Trip advisor notes that you can cancel a reservation on the scream machine within 24 hours for a refund. I called the owner over a month a head of my trip and tried to explain the reason for wanting to cancel. He cut me off and told me to email him. I do that then he tries to shame me by screenshotting my email and texting me something rude. I explained i am not sure what the problem was. I waited a week longer and tried to get a refund and again of course no luck. I cannot believe how bad the customer service is on this particular boat. My advice is to not book it in advance because they are just trying to keep your money regardless of the situation. This isn't about the money to me as it is the principle. The captains overt rudeness directly at me was un warranted and quite shocking. read more
