They are great to correct it when I've mentioned it. * The self checkout system is the worst I've seen yet - very slow and requires constant staff monitoring because of all the extra confirmations needed. I avoid it and usually just look for a normal checkout with a human. * Some conventional items are way more expensive than typical larger grocery stores (toilet paper, dish detergent, and paper towels, for example). Because of that, I save these items for the occasional large grocery store trip.

It's close proximity to the border (roughly 10 miles) and their clean washrooms plus snack selection make it a good stop for us and help serve our needs. Gas was $2.49 a gallon on my stop for 87 octane which is a steal compared to the $1.20 we pay roughly a L in Quebec. They do also have free WIFI that there is no password to login to. On the way back home I was very pleased to pick up two 12 packs of Harpoon beer for $15.99 each. Harpoon is an awesome beer that Is Vermont/Boston brewed. They call it a New England IPA. If you like Sam Adams give Harpoon a try. Sure there is a closer gas station to the border but we enjoy hitting up this one in St Albans and will keep on doing so in our travels in the future!

Dot's Market is the convenience store around the corner from the house where I spend the first 6 years of my life, and probably the initial cause of my sugar addiction. The eponymous Dot was a sweet old lady who knew me by name and kept all my favorite treats stocked. It has since been sold and I imagine that Dot is no longer with us, but I get a little nostalgic whenever I am back in Burlington and driving through my old hood.
