Amazing architecture makes land meet sea in a striking burst of white blue and black. Incorporating volcanic and gleaming clean lines, the artist's vision makes this a must-visit spot on the Lanzarote coast. The gleaming clear blue pool invites with its oceanic backdrop, enticing hours of strolling, gazing, eating, and drinking at this land among the sea. Walking to the lava tower at the end, winding through circular lava/white wind blockers, it seems to be an idyllic stroll into the beyond. I'm glad to have experienced it, and I'll return as often as possible. read more

Small island with a cafe and rock garden in front of the Arrecife Gran Hotel. In the 1970's it was created by local Arrecife artist and architect César Manrique. He developed a multi use space that blends relaxation, gastronomy, and nature in the Marina of Arrecife. Walking onto the island you first come to the restaurant and pool area. It is beautiful. Then the Arrecife Bay Interpretation Center. A couple of rooms that provide tourists with information of the area's marine environment. The last area is a unique black and white park made from local lava stones. It was an interesting area. read more
