Folks, I usually do…read morenot do reviews but I would be remiss if I did not take the opportunity to comment on this business. This business is the real deal! I contacted Mechanicomp late in the afternoon last Saturday (06 th , November, 2021). I had the pleasure to speak with employee Emery and I mentioned to him that I thought I needed a battery for my older IPhone 6 (only use it for emergencies as I leave it in my vehicle for those purposes) . I explained the problem and I asked Emery what the price would be for a new battery and installation. Emery told me that the cost for battery and installation would be approximately $29.00 - $30.00 plus taxes. At this point I asked employee Emery if I misunderstood him, that price seemed so realistic that I thought I mis-understood him and he once again stated that the cost would be approximately $29.00 - $30.00 plus taxes and he then added that this price was a ball park figure. Employee Emery told me to bring the IPhone to his shop Monday morning and he would have a look at it. When I hung up the telephone I had a good feeling in my stomach after talking with employee Emery. He seemed professional, respectful, interested, knowledgeable and most accommodating. Fast forward to 10 am on Monday morning (08th Nov., 2021). My wife and I attended the Mechanicomp business located on Airport Pulling Road, Naples , Fl. (It should also be noted that we are from out of country and we were not familiar where to go for IPhone repair services. I googled IPhone repair in Naples, Fl., and after reading all the reviews on the different business's I felt confident to go to Mechanicomp, they had awesome reviews. We were met in the store by employee Emery. Emery was very polite, friendly, professional, accommodating and knowledgeable. This store was clean, bright, vast amount of electronics, the store was just as inviting as employee Emery. Emery treated us with respect and he made us feel so comfortable. I explained to him that I called on Saturday and once again explained the situation and the ball park price he quoted me on the telephone. Emery checked the price on his computer and he told us that the price for battery and installation was $24.00 plus tax not the $29.00 - $30.00 plus tax ball park figure he quoted over the telephone. This was honesty in the pure form, I have never in my life been quoted a ball park price and to find out later the price lower than the quoted price, we were so impressed. We left the IPhone with employee Emery and he said to come back in an hour. When we returned, the IPhone battery was repaired and installed. At this point I would like to add that employee Emery seemed like a person that we knew for years but only spoke with him for a short period of time. It was so refreshing to meet such an impressive and friendly employee, this is an attribute that we seldom see in this day and age. I wanted to wait for three or four days before submitting a review, I wanted to ensure that the repair was working properly before my review. Low and behold, my IPhone 6 is working the way it should and my repair problem was rectified by employee Emery. We chose the right business , we chose the right employee ( although for some reason I think all employees at Mechanicomp are no doubt as courteous and professional as Emery (It's just a gut feeling I have). I'm hoping the owner/manager of this business understands how impressed we, as customers, were with employee Emery and how impressed we were with the service and the atmosphere with-in the store. I believe employee Emery is an ambassador for your business, keep up the great customer service Emery, it was a pleasure. Can hardly wait to go back to Mechanicomp for the next repair, all the best. The man who fixed it was pretty nice, seemed to rush a bit but okay. Two days after I got my phone, I took it out of my bag and there was a hairline crack on it. Hadn't dropped it, tussled it around, nothing. I purchased a very protective case for it and over the course of two months it has managed to crack even more, even with the case! I haven't dropped it at all. The screen is not fitted properly into the phone, and the glass is cheap. I believe the materials he used were low quality. Don't waste your money!

When I was ready to just get a new computer, I took my lap top to Tech-Zone. The repair technician (Dom), was not only very helpful, he saved me hundreds of dollars, by resolving my minor issue. After rushing through the terminal to catch my flight, my egg fell down and shattered. Great! I figured this was okay, but over the course of a few days my phone got worse and worse where I couldn't even type a message to check on my family across the states. I contacted Jacob by phone, he answered very friendly. He had an issue with the location, but he did let me know he would there later than anticipated. He arrived when he said he would and stayed in contact with me regarding his ETA. Jacob remained a very professional demeanor and kept up pleasant conversation. I've had my screen fixed before, and Jacob pointed out the issues with what the previous location did, including using a non-apple screen and giving me a non-apple press button that deactivated my touch screen. My screen on my Iphone 6s responded at first to his new screen but after the 2nd day it went downhill. It eventually got so bad by day 3 it stopped responding to touch all together. The screen he used was junk. My previous cracked screen was better than this. My phone became unusable and I missed an entire day of work trying to get it fixed. Luckily the apple store got me back on track. If I had gone straight to the apple store it would have cost me less time & money than using Jacob.

Called again on January 12, 15 and 20th and left messages asking for a status update and a return call. They never called me back. Today is January 24 and I went to pick it up. I understand if you're busy and if you're waiting on parts, but a simple update would've been appropriate. I'll take it somewhere else. Would not recommend.

Prior to leaving for college my laptop had been extremely slow and at some points unresponsive with…read morea windows blue screen (I had assumed my hard drive was busted but didn't have an extra computer or equipment to check or do work). My initial phone call before coming in I was told they would guarantee diagnose the issue for a $45 fee, and no additional servicing was required after the diagnosis. I show up to the store promptly after and talk to the nice guys over there and I'm told they will get back to me on the issue within a day or two, and they did. A day or two later I was told there was nothing wrong with my drive and my computer did boot (which I already knew it booted but was absurdly slow). But I am told they ran tests on my drive and nothing came up and they came to the conclusion that my windows was corrupt and I simply needed to reinstall. I felt so relieved that I didn't have to worry about installing a new drive, so I procrastinated picking it up and I guess waited too long as I came home and reinstalled windows two times and wiped my drive as well, still to have my computer crash every so often and run super slow I paid a $45 diagnosis fee for something I had already thought to be true but wanted to make sure was correct, but instead was given little info on what they had done other than booted the computer and "tested the drive". I have not checked for bad sectors on the last drive, but I can assume that they ran no in-depth tests and instead just saw it boot and blue screen to tell me that windows was corrupted. TLDR: thought my hard drive was broken, but went to shop for reassurance, was told my hard drive was completely intact and I should just reinstall windows, then paid $45 for essentially the completely wrong diagnosis.
