She is the crème de la crème of massage therapist. Her hands magically find all the knots at any pressure. This time Angela was booked out and I desperately needed a massage for severe nerve pain down my leg. The easy to use online booking app showed Jen was available the next day so I booked the appointment. I found the building...it says 50 Penn but their address is 11900 NWEXP. Anyway, my pain was so bad I was bent over at the waist and dragging my leg behind me looking for the elevator. By the grace of God it appeared right in front of me. Once on the massage table, I found I could not lay flat on my stomach. Jen very gently helped me find a comfortable position on the table. She started at my foot, which I didn't understand bc my low back and calf were screaming. Jen immediately touched a spot on my foot and then very gently I hardly felt where she was, at times, moved up my leg to my back until I could lay flat. When she was done I walked out upright. I felt such relief. It was the best surprise of the year!

I will say the booking was easily done online on my cellphone @ Okanaspa.com. They asked me to arrive 30 mins early for my 9am appointment slot. Kayla called me to confirm my appointment and answer any questions I had, also made sure I was comfortable with a male massage therapist. They had a cute little outside waiting area in view of the outdoor pool off the boardwalk, which was a beautiful start my relaxation journey! At 8:30am on the dot, I was welcomed inside & the journey begun. Once I got into The Spa, I signed a quick waiver & they gave me the grand tour showing me the locker rooms, red light therapy, restroom, changing rooms, sauna, how to set the locker code for robes and slides & dropped me off in the tranquility room. The tranquility room had iced water, warm water & chilled watermelon infused water to drink and comfy couches separated my sheer curtains & loungers with soft blankets with tranquil music and water flowing in the background. Total zen zone! Olivia (my esthetician) came first to take me to my room for a facial. She was so sweet! Perfect amount of pressure and quiet to entrust that I had the best experience ever. After the facial, she brought me a mimosa (also offered juice, champagne, or water) & took me back to the tranquility room. Jim was next to call on me & he was my massage therapist. Initially, I was a little nervous about having a male masseuse, but he was perfect - he asked my comfort level & what style I would prefer. He was so knowledgeable and friendly through the whole process. I never once felt weird during my massage. He was very professional and truly wanted to me to benefit from this special day. Once my massage was over, he brought me some water & saw me back to the tranquility room. After this, I headed to the locker room & changed back into my clothes and made my way into the Mani-Pedi Salon. Here I met Aubrey. She was so nice and accommodating! I was able to pick out my colors and she was nice enough to remind me that the chlorine in the pool may damage my paint so I upgraded to gel polish and Aubrey hit the ground running, making it happen. The sugar scrub was my favorite part but she was very thorough through the entire process from start to finish. I love my nails & feel so good after the services I had at The Spa at Okana! I checked out & they were able to charge my cc on file at time of booking. There was a $40 charge added to my package due to the gel polish upgrade but Aubrey gave me a heads up so I was expecting it. Check out was smooth & I thoroughly enjoyed my pampering thanks to the amazing team at The Spa at Okana!

I've been to many other massage places before and many others had extra hair ties and other goods you may need for the massage and for after. There were a couple items for you to use like lotion, soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the bathroom. As for the actual massage I'd say it was just alright. I've had better massages other places. I didn't really leave feeling refreshed. You can valet your car inside the resort and then get your valet ticket validated with the spa, so you don't have to pay for the actual parking.
