The technician was really sweet but this was the most painful thing I've ever experienced in my life. It was actually so painful it was traumatizing. My friend had already done sugaring and she recommended Gimme Sugars as she didn't experience the same level of pain that I did. I scheduled a future appointment but called back and cancelled as I decided this was just not for me. I was also surprised the spa was not as nice asI had thought it would be considering it's in the Nichols Hills area. It's very small & plain which didn't feel very luxurious. I went in for a facial dermaplane and Ashley was was very thorough and explained the process to me of what she was doing. My skin felt smoother, and was much brighter. A few days later I went in for their chemical peel with Kara. She checked in with me a couple days after my peel and my skin had yet to peel. A couple days passed again, and my skin still didn't take to the peel. Kara made time for me to come in and she checked on my skin, and gave me a different type of treatment to help the peel take and we realized that perhaps the dermaplane I had done the week before caused the peel to not work as it normally would since a lot of my dead skin had been scraped off. Despite the peel not working like I had hoped, Kara's professionalism and sincere care to find a solution would make me go back a hundred times. Looking forward to my next treatment there. read more

This was my first visit here. I get sugared once a year and unfortunately my normal lady moved out of town. I got brazilian sugared yesterday, and am bruised today. My poor skin was not held taut even once throughout the procedure, which means it was tugged and pulled through the quick 12 minutes I was there. The pain was the worst I've ever had during one, and I'm pretty good about handling pain. Maybe it was the person, but pulling skin taut is like sugaring/ waxing 101, and I can't even fathom the thought of going back and doing it again. I found this place when I was looking for an alternative to waxing. I was a bit nervous the first time I came here but Kara has been wonderful from the beginning. She talked me through the procedure and was very profession. She made me feel right at ease. Yes it is a bit painful, it is hair removal, but I think it is well worth it for the results. First time sugaring experience. This place was recommended to me by a few people. I was disappointed. I went in for a bikini, lip, and lower stomach wax. I had to cut the bikini wax short due to the pain of it, which was expected. I was able to get through the lower stomach and lip part. Rather than finish the lower stomach and lip areas at least before I left, she let me pay and leave without even offering to finish up the two other areas for me if tolerable. I felt she was rushed to be finished, and her work showed that. I also had to pay $40 when I didn't even get everything done, and the lower stomach and lip areas were not even completely finished. I feel that I was overpriced for what was completed. Will not return. Next time your client wants to stop due to pain, take the time to explain what you still have left to finish, and if they would like you to finish those areas before they go. read more

I have been going to Kara for about two years. She is truly a professional and I have no complaints whatsoever about the service I receive. Sugaring is a painful process, you are ripping hair out by the root. I have been getting it done for 20 years and it still hurts. I no longer want to levitate off the table when it's done like my first few times but it still is With that being said Kara makes you feel comfortable especially when getting "that" area waxed / Brazilian style. I am not sure why she would receive a negative review unless one doesn't understand the process. Do some research first so that you truly know what to expect. And if you receive a service....even if cut short because you cannot handle pain. ..you should still pay. read more

I just moved here and was happy to find that sugaring is available. Checked yelp reviews before booking here. I should have paid closer attention to employee names I guess. I just left an appointment with Ashley, who by all accounts is great at spray tans, but not so much at sugaring yet. She was really sweet and personable, conversation was great and she gave some good recommendations of things to do around town, BUT she used uncomfortably firm pressure, especially over some really tender areas (lymph nodes / glands in the neck) that I'm worried might be sore and swollen tomorrow; she seemed rushed and left LOTS of hair behind; she never reached for the tweezers to fine tune; I was never offered a mirror to double check that everything looked the way I wanted it, and so didn't discover just how off the mark it was until I got home. Again, she was a sweetheart, but I had high hopes for the quality of the work and am very disappointed. read more

I read reviews and was excited to try Sugaring at this location. I made an appointment with Ashley and was very anxious. The entire "experience" took 15 min, and she seemed EXTREMELY rushed. She was very nice and allowed me to take a few "breaks" but man it was really uncomfortable. I have been sugared before and the wax was body temp and made it easier to apply to my skin. The sugar used at this appointment was very cold and hurt to apply. As soon as she removed one strip of hair she was apply ing the sugar to the next strip. Overall I made it through the appointment, but I was disappointed to see so much hair left behind. read more
