    The lingering dust after attempts at cleaning.

    Hello. I just want to let you know about some concerns I had with my countertops installed on Wednesday. First, neither one of the installers were wearing masks. I get it it's hard while they're working, but neither one even had a mask on to walk in my house. And I know the one did not get the vaccine, because he told me. I just think it's a little presumptuous to assume I'd be ok with that. And neither one introduces himself, I have no idea what their names were. I also think they need to warn/educate people about what a mess they would make. They did not block off, with plastic nor sheets the doorways to the kitchen. I spent the rest of Wednesday evening trying to clean just so I could breathe. And spent the majority of today, cleaning again. I had my dining room set up as my make shift kitchen and everything in that room, and the rest of my house had an inch of very fine dust on it. I have to wash everything, multiple times. I have bad dust allergies and I still can't breathe in my house. Also, the installers didn't want to install my drop in sink. I was not told that would be an issue. The installer asked me if I wanted to do it. What am I paying for? I didn't say much on Wednesday cuz I was home alone. Also, they asked my exterminator to assist with setting the big piece of stone. He happened to be here when they arrived. Also, hours after they brought in all the pieces they left my front door propped open. I didn't realize this right away because I was down in my family room, trying to stay out of their way. Not only was I freezing, I'm still killing the flies that got in. I contacted the company and was told "everybody knows there is going to be dust" then she told me to hire a cleaning company. This was the first time I ever had countertops installed. I knew there would be some dust, but I figured they would somehow block off the kitchen so that the dust would be contained as best as possible. I told the woman that on the phone and she said that they don't do that and that "everybody knows that". No, not everyone knows that, if I did I would have bought some drop cloths and hung them myself. I still can't get everything clean, my kitchen window screen is supposed to be black, but you'd never know it.

    We recently purchased new kitchen countertops from the Home Depot and Rocksolid Surfaces performed…read morethe install. The first step was measuring and making templates for the countertops. The process was done precisely and accurately. Shortly after the countertops were made an appointment for the install was scheduled. The two installers arrived on time and covered all surfaces before starting then explained in detail what work will be performed, which included removing our old dishwasher., installing the new dishwasher, sink and faucet. Work was completed within 4 hours and looks better than expected. Unfortunately, we forgot to take before pics but the after pics look awesome. Highly recommend Rocksolid Surfaces!

    I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with Rock Solid Surfaces has been so deeply frustrating…read moreand unprofessional that I feel obligated to warn others. We hired them in March with a clear promise: full design, fabrication, and installation in 2-3 weeks. As of mid-May, the project is still not complete -- and we are now approaching eight weeks. The delays were not due to complexity, but to blatant internal disorganization, poor communication, and a lack of accountability. I had to step in and design the layout myself because their team failed to do it -- despite being paid to manage that exact process. When I attempted to escalate the issue, I was met with dismissiveness and excuses. The owner responded with personal reasons why he couldn't address the problem (he was traveling and his business partner was adopting a child) -- as though that absolves the company from honoring a professional contract. Meanwhile, I continued getting vague updates, missed deadlines, and absolutely no sense of urgency. Worse, I've since checked their recent reviews and discovered that many others are complaining about the exact same issues: long delays, zero communication, and finger-pointing instead of solutions. I would never recommend Rock Solid Surfaces to anyone. If you care about timelines, professionalism, and getting what you paid for -- look elsewhere. This company may have once had a strong reputation, but based on my experience (and others' reviews), that reputation is rapidly deteriorating.
