The cover is not as large as we could have used, we did cut down on size because of the cost. The quality of the product is excellent, and the fact that we were able to have the product manufactured locally is also a big selling point. Our family believes in "shopping local". We started the process late summer '24, and from the beginning we told the salesman we wanted to secure the "referral bonus" that was advertised. Just as a "heads up" some may feel skeptical with the sales part - as you do get discounts if you pay up front. I was not anticipating to write a large check the day the guy first came out here, but it was clearly to our benefit to do so. We had researched the company, the product, and had a referral from a trusted friend, so we moved forward from Day 1. This is a bit unnerving to me when discussing thousands of dollars. I was sure to mention multiple times in conversations from the very beginning in the ordering process, to installation, to follow-up, that we were referred by this friend of ours. She had really gone out of her way to invite us over to take a look, answered questions, and gave us a good "run down" - I feel like she earned the money! The company clearly advertises $175.00 referral bonus. During our dealings with Bright Covers, I made multiple calls because it became embarrassing to me that every time I saw my friend I would ask her if she got the referral fee and it had still not come. Now that it is March, and this all started last summer, I got very firm in a phone call about this referral money. I really hate having to do this because you know the person on the other end of the phone is bearing the brunt of something they probably knew nothing about. Our friend did get the check this week. The representative I spoke to was discussing how they are currently working to fix the process regarding referrals. She was excellent in helping me resolve the issue. It's early in the game to discuss durability of this cover/ We had a pretty lousy winter here, the weight of the snow was a non-issue. I have to say so far it has been money well spent - it is beautiful, the quality seems to be amazing, and we are hoping for many years of enjoying our time out on the patio!

We are absolutely thrilled with how our deck turned out. Everyone involved was nice and helpful! The job site throughout the process was cleaned up every night. The final deck is amazing; great craftmenship, quality materials ,and exactly what we were imagining. We are so excited to enjoy our time outside with our family. If they are busy and not able to get to your deck this year, there is a reason. They are worth the wait!

The appointment was made and confirmed to call me at 1.30 , No call. I thought it was the company calling me so I called them. The girl that answered the company phone said, no I have the wrong number. When I explained she then said oh yes, we are to busy to deal with you, that must have been a recruiter. I'll see if I can get her to call you. I also sent an e mail to the recruiter. 10 minutes later she calls. 15 minutes late. 2. She then starts asking me questions that are on my resume. I asked, do you have my resume? she said yes, so I said, did you even look at it. Duh. I doubt she did. Again more questions already answered on resume. 3. Since I started my own deck business and did it all, sales and the construction, for over 40 years, it seems to me it should be clear I can sell decks. 4. It seemed to me she was searching to think of questions to ask me. Then asking questions about something I had just explained. Or asking the same questions in a different way. 5. She asked about my tech skills and I explained I had been building websites since 1999 so I would say 10 out of 10. 6. She then asked if can I design and build excel spreadsheets from scratch. Why would a deck salesman with over 40 years experience need to do that. 7. A few more stupid questions led me to say, "You know what, based on my experience with you I no longer am interested in Klassic anything. Probably dogged a bullet. What is funny, they claim they been in business since 1996, thousands of decks, yet I never heard of them. The Cleveland BBB says they have NO REVIEWS. So I looked them up on the Ohio Business website. Their first company name was Custom Decks Inc. Why change names? Changed the name in 2013. So been doing business as Klassic for 11 years, not 30 years. Read Elle S. review You probably also dogged a bullet. re=posted Cant say if they build nice decks, or not. What I can say is that I contacted them on Thursday May 29. Had to call again next day due to no contact. Nate came out on Friday May 30. Went through the whole ordeal of measuring out the deck and laying it out on graph paper. Said he might have a quote to me by email that night, but more likely Monday June 3rd. Called back on Wednesday June 5th to say I had net yet received a quote via email. Later Nate texted me to say that at this point in the season they are too busy to take on a deck that big. Why didnt he just say that when he came out instead of wasting my time and his for that matter. My guess is they were not interested in doing a wood deck. Not everyone wants plastic decks. Communication is not that great. Leaving people waiting is VERY, VERY DISRESPECTFUL and not a sign of a good business person.

We were repeatedly told "you're next" and "within weeks," but dates slipped with no firm schedule. In June 2025--nearly a year after paying--they were still saying we were "next." Key facts: - Deposit (July 2024): Months of "paperwork is submitted" messages, yet we never received a permit number or proof of submittal/approval. In Jan 2025 we were told paperwork had been submitted "yesterday," contradicting prior assurances. - Permitting (Winter-Spring 2025): The City issued adjudication orders and the permit was not approved until May 2025--~10 months after signing. (We can provide documentation if needed.) - No on-site work (through July 2025): Despite promises of a March start, there was still no crew on site and no schedule we could rely on. - Shell left exposed: The fiberglass shell sat outside uncovered for months with no start date in sight. We ultimately had them drop the shell at our property while we hired another installer to complete the project. Bottom line: After 13 months, aside from dropping the shell at our home, no installation work was performed. Communication was pleasant at times, but pleasant texts don't build pools. We would not hire again and do not recommend.

I didnt call Window Universe intially. (my mistake) I had one company (Who I wont review) that was all the way up to getting a downpayment from me. They seemed good initially but I had to fire them when they didnt show up (it was a fourth offence) Too bad. Well I called Window Universe they came out fast. The quoting process was fast. The person (lance) who came out was very personable. Now I didnt realize this but their quote was 1500 less than the other guy I fired. Also Lance is a dialed in person. He called Provia on my door and he told me that the door I was getting was not compatible so we had to switch. The previous guy was going to give me that door with the side lights. (Was it going to even work??) yeah so there was that. The appointment took minutes. We also talked about basement glass block windows. Their prices. Right on the sheet AND they were really good about 1/2 what I expected to pay. So I am going to do that too before the winter. Anyhow when all was said and done Window Universe was less than the guy I almost used and Lance double checked he got the proper sized windows and sidelights. Great experience and I still have 3+ weeks before the windows show up. Ill come back and add some pictures after it is done. I know it is going to be great.
