I typically don't write Yelp reviews unless I have something different to contribute. The only point I'll make here is that there's no 50% discount as per the Yelp website in Nov. 2019. I was really disappointed because I came here thinking I would get half off what I normally do. I especially thought that because there's a big sign outside saying management has changed even though that was apparently two years ago. Chris is great and so are the staff, and management needs to take that down so it doesn't confuse consumers. NOT WORTH IT My friend and I made an appointment the night before, and they were able to get us in early in the morning. I was getting a fill and my friend was getting the gel full set. One man started my friend's manicure but then started getting glue all over her fingers so they had to switch employees halfway through- super unprofessional. There were flies around the salon. The other employees spent the whole time laughing at the flies landing on me and the other customers. SO DISGUSTING AND DIRTY. We both left the salon, my friends "almond" nails were thick and not shaped well AT ALL. so disappointed. I paid 35$ for a fill when I got my original set at a different place for 27$. My friend paid $55 for her sub-par nails. Also, their student discount does not apply to fake nails or fills. Less than three days later, both of my friends pinky nails came off. Less than one week later my ring fingernail fell off. its been a week now and I already feel my other nails falling off. I DO NOT recommend this overpriced and dingy nail place. They will leave your nails and pocket in pain. Wish I had known better, and saved myself the money. We want a refund. read more

I just had a really great experience here! I came in for a walk-in pedicure, and was quickly able to sit in a massaging chair and soak my feet before my service started. The woman working on my feet did a great job, and I felt very relaxed the entire time. Someone came in with an appointment with her, so another technician did the actual polish on my nails, and he was very thorough. The massage while my nails dried was intense but felt good after, although he did try to sell me a 10-minute massage. Overall, I walked out with lovely toenails, very satisfied with my decision to come here - it was a great experience, and I look forward to coming back! read more

No matter who you go to, you will get a good mani and pedi. I go there every two weeks since they opened again under new management. I have visited other salons in the are to compare and this one is by far the best! Definitely recommend. Gel is great. For me, powder never lasts. Pedicures are amazing. this was my third time at E nails: first time i got a full set of gel nails w/ extension (wasn't thrilled), second time was to get a fill (much better experience) and this time to get the gels removed (i like to give my nails a break after one fill). the guy filed the top layer of color off then proceeded to pry the remaining gel and tip off of my nail bed using a metro card. like.......... an actual metro card that had been cut in half. no soaking them, no foils, nothing. just a quick file and pry them off. what! granted, they only charged me $10 but my guy. i could've picked them off myself in the comfort of my own home, and probably could've managed to do it in a manner that damaged my nail far less. i know that artificial nails inevitably cause some level of damage to your natural nails but this method of removal just seemed careless and lazy read more

Don't ever go here if you want a real pedicure the person I had was Chris first he did not change his gloves he had red polish on his glove actually he was only wearing one glove I had to ask him if he was bleeding to Which he replied no it's it's polish but did not change his glove or put on a new one! second upon applying the scrub he did not scrub around to the back of my leg I had to show him also when using a tool to clean around my nail bed he just lightly brushed over him as if he was butterfly dancing over lillies. I had to ask him please can you Get under the nails and clean, I had to show him 2x. He did not massage my feet in any way also when I sat down he asked which Pedicure did I want and showed me a list and I said I just want the regular and he said 35 and I asked is it 35 or 25 because the sign says it is 25 he did not respond to where the lady doing the pedicure next to him had to say it's $25. When it was time to apply the polish Chris did not shake up the bottle at all and I request to put two coats of polish. I was there with two other ladies we all got charge different rates. At the end of the farce of a pedicure, sitting down to dry my nails I was not asked if I wanted the free massage until my friends left. The gentleman who finally came to do the massage hands smelled like cigarettes although I must say that five minute massage was the best ever from the older gentleman. All this being said, Chris needs a vacation or a new job! He cut my nails to the perfect length and shape and didn't file down more than he had to for the gel nail polish which I really appreciate. If I could give a place 0 stars I would give this place a 0. Im new to Ithaca and I came here with acrylic nails that weren't dip or gel, just your regular type of acrylic nails. I asked if they did acrylics when I called and they said yes I come in and the worker was using the wrong tools and I could feel lots of burning on my fingers and real nails. And then he cut them way too short which didn't allow for the shape I asked for. I asked if I could just take off the nails I had and just start with a new set and longer nails. But I asked to get a different worker because the first guy I had who's name is Tom was too rough and gave my hands many cuts. Another man tried to take the thick acrylic off my nails and I was worried that he would damage my real nails. Every time he tried taking them off I thought something would damage my real nails. And then I told him that they told me they do acrylic and he told me that they only do uv dip. I was so upset and still am and I walked out with my nails looking terrible I had to go to another place with nice ladies that helped me get off whatever they did to my nails. The workers were here were just rude to me. They need to be more specific and clear when someone asks them a question that was the worst nail experience I ever had. read more

I only have one complaint about this nail salon and that complaint's name is ASHLEY. Ashley is one of the female nail technicians and let me warn you to beware. She has an extremely rude attitude towards her customers, let alone her ~mediocre~ skills at doing nails. She rushes through manicures and does not follow customer requests. She filed my nails way too short after asking her multiple times not to. After I told her I was upset with the service, she angrily gave me back my change and I overheard her talking about me to one of the other staff members. Ashley, you are rude and unprofessional. I got a gel manicure today at E nails. Chris did a fantastic job on my nails. I've had several manicures in the past where the nail technicians hurt me a little bit when they were trimming my cuticles or buffing my nails, but that didn't happen here at all. They also had a cool little buffing machine that felt gentler than using a file to buff the nails. Chris was meticulous with the polish, friendly and pleasant to talk to, and my nails look great. :) read more

I had a lovely experience at E Nails. There was a very short wait. No one rushed me it was late afternoon on a weekday. I had a mani-pedi, the price was fair. A man did my feet, he was careful, attentive, and gentle. A woman did my fingernails ...also careful, kind, gentle. She helped me choose colors that I really loved. They were very friendly. I find that kindness and friendliness can cross language barriers...their English was good enough for anything that we needed to discuss. They did a great job, and it lasted 3 weeks...they were insistent that I be thoroughly dry before I left...I think this is the key to a lasting job. Be prepared to wait...it is a cooperative process. Very Bad! The Worst mani/pedi I have ever had!!! First, there's a major communication barrier. I don't understand how you can serve the American public if you barely speak and do not UNDERSTAND the language. Both the mani and pedi were half assed. Cuticles and dead skin not removed, nail shape uneven and polish applied poorly! I paid for the service, regrettably, but will never go back and I certainly won't recommend this salon. Also, the "technician " was sighing the whole time and it felt like he didn't want to do my mani/pedi, as if me walking through the door was a pain in his ass. I went for a pedi, and immediately noticed that the towel where my feet were placed was discolored, and the instruments they use are not sterilized--they just rinse them in the foot bath sink! Also, it was very warm in there (over 80°) and the air conditioning was not on, so they had the front door open, and I noticed a couple of flying insects buzzing around. Yuk. Unpleasant experience.
