I was a member of It's Just Lunch in the 1st decade of the mellenium. Terrible experience and service. A worker predicted that I'd marry another member which was false! One member was out of my age range when I specifically told the worker that I am seeking between such and such range and that member didn't pay for my meal! IJL doesn't make it clear on the rule. Too pricey membership! Not quality dates! Same venue where restaurant worker recognized me and said she'd seen me there recently! Setting a date with the wrong members! If I could give a zero, I would. They told me I would have 12 dates in 6 months. I ended up going on 3 after over a year. To top it off, they were the three worst dates of my entire life. I actually ended up working with six different matchmakers, most of whom had obviously never even glanced at my file before they started "matching" me. They repeatedly proposed women that were the exact opposite of what I said I was looking for, and utterly ignored my feedback ever time. Also, most of my matchmakers were completely unresponsive, as in I would wait weeks for responses to emails or calls back, and NEVER get one. This is by the worst experience I've ever had with any company in my life, and I cannot more strongly recommend that anyone considering signing up avoid doing so. read more

Do not ever contact this agency. It's a rip off, is fraudulent and they lie about their supposed services. They took a huge amount of money; gave me a run around and did not render services. Very disappointed in my experience thus far. I joined in May & have been on one date. My 'matchmaker' doesn't seem very interested in explaining why & is very disorganized on the rare occasion she contacts me. I had one matchmaker that left & no one bothered to tell me until I reached out weeks later. Since then I have tried to get a new matchmaker with no luck. I expected so much more from this company. If there aren't enough people to match with be upfront about it. I feel like they are being very aloof. read more

absolutely do not sign up with this company! they promise you exactly what you want! there sales pitch is slick! buyer beware!

Run. Run far away. They charged me $2500, and I went on one, yes one date. Read the fine print. Your money is good for one year, unless you put yourself on a 'hold,' then the contract accelerates to 6 months!! (They won't remind you of this). When confronted, they claimed ignorance, then started calling me to 're-up.' Are you kidding me? Also, they are very disorganized. (Except in collecting your money.) Run. Run far away. read more

Terrible. Charged me over $4,000. I've been a member for over a year now, I still have not had the minimum number of dates that they guarantee. Not to mention, they ask you all of your requirements for the dates, then completely ignore them and send you on dates with warm bodies to meet their quotas. They also have some pretty deceptive practices. They'll send you an e-mail saying that you need to contact them or they'll put your account on hold. I made the mistake of calling and not responding in writing, so they placed my account on hold while telling me I was not on hold. Later, I found out that they had placed my account on hold and lied to me. This is just one of many of their tactics to avoid the fact that they cannot provide the product that they have sold you for an exorbitant price. Awful, just awful. read more
