The task of searching for a photographer for my wedding day seemed incredibly daunting, and I wasn't sure where to begin. My husband actually recommended working with Forevermore, as he knew Brian from their time coaching volleyball together. When we first met them I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was instantly blow away by how organized they were and just the fun dynamic the two of them bring to the table. They had an exceptional portfolio of work to show us, and it was evident right from the start that they are highly detail oriented and their aesthetic really fit with what we were looking for. They really take the time to explain to you all of the different packages they offer, and the engagement photo session was included when we booked our wedding day photography package - which was a really nice bonus! They were willing to travel wherever we wanted for our engagement photos, and my husband and I decided on Point Reyes. They were flexible in working with our schedules to find a date that worked for us, and when we arrived, they were so patient with us, taking the time to explain how to pose and what angles and hand placements looked best, etc. It ended up being a freezing and wind blown day up in Point Reyes for our engagement session, but they remained pros the entire time, allowing us time to change outfits and scoping out the best shots before we had to brave the cold. Jen and Brian also did such a great job of finding and suggesting unique spots along the way that would be great photo moments. When we got our engagement photos back, I was in love with all of them! Which as someone who tends to be very critical of herself in photos, really means a lot! I couldn't wait to work with them again on our wedding day! Leading up to the wedding, Jen and Brian did a great job of communicating with us about what would be needed to ensure a successful wedding day. They worked with the timeline provided by our wedding day venue coordinator, and had us come up with a list of all the family portraits that were important for us to capture. Again, I cannot stress enough how well organized and attentive to detail they both are! On the wedding day, everything flowed so smoothly! They kept us on track and made sure we got all of the photos we wanted - from getting ready photos, first look photos, and family portraits, to a sunset photo shoot at the end of the night. They even helped us coordinate a fun reception photo bomb opportunity that our guests loved! By the end of our time working together, I felt like both Brian and Jen were not just vendors, but friends. They were so great working with us, our bridal party and our family, they gave excellent direction, and they work incredibly well together as a team. They're thorough, friendly, helpful, kind, funny, and efficient. They suggested zoom meetings to discuss what we were looking for and then came up with a plan. They met with us multiple times across the span of 4 months (how long it took us to plan our wedding) and made themselves available for additional meetings should we need it. They presented very clear written communication as well. Price: What really got me was the fact that I could give the password to our album to anyone and there were unlimited downloads. Plus, the engagement shoot and the wedding were bundled together. They really broke down what they're charging for in the invoice as well. Organization/tips: Jen is so well organized and Brian knows just how to support her to maximize that organization. Since I was planning this wedding with no wedding planner, their expertise, tips, and organization skills were very much appreciated. When I asked for advice outside of photography, they were very careful not to persuade my decision to what they thought I should do, but gave very insightful tips to make my own, informed decisions. They helped me create a very clear timeline (for photography) that I used for the entire wedding. We were going to have my mom be in charge of playing the music, and they very thoughtfully suggested that someone else be in charge of that as my mom would want to be paying close attention and may not be in the best headspace during the wedding to remember when to cue the music. They also made sure to tell our officiant (who was my cousin) to be sure to move away before he tells us to kiss. Since my wedding, I've noticed some officiants are not told this. Equipment: They come VERY well prepared. First of all, they were coming from Northern California. We live in Los Angeles/Orange County area. So they came down twice for our engagement shoot and for the wedding. During the engagement shoot, they had tons of great lighting equipment to do cool shots like the one under the bridge. They scoped out the sun patterns of both sites the day before to be sure they got the best lighting. They encouraged me to bring multiple outfits for the engagement shoot and brought a pop up tent so I could change in the middle of a park. My husband and I were very impressed. They also had a great speaker system that helped us play our music and do our speeches since we didn't have our own DJ. Pictures: As you can see in the many pictures I provided, they take TONS and that's not even a quarter of the pictures I have! My husband and I are both very camera shy. Neither of us have taken pictures with professional photographers before and even my husband said, they made us feel really at ease and he could not imagine getting photographed by anyone else. They got everything from details to people. They used their own creative ideas, and also asked for our input. They asked us to send a list of pictures of people we want in family shots and made sure to save every single one. The ONLY thing I have to say that's negative is there are a couple shots (I posted one below) where some of the people in the photos are off center or not close enough to the rest of the group and one shot (not posted) where my husband is doing something awkward in with his hands. Other than that, I really really love their editing style and how they got a good mixture of candids and posed pictures. Video: I really loved the video they made. I especially love how in our ceremony video it caught my cousin saying something funny so my husband wouldn't cry when I was walking down the aisle. The only thing I didn't like was we purposely did not say our vows in front of anyone and chose to only lay it over our wedding video. Although it was only a few seconds, I didn't like the addition of the clip of me reading my vows. One other thing, I love that they added clips of the speeches, but wished they got my cousin (maid of honor)'s speech in there as well. As far as the rest of the video, everyone that watched it said it was AMAZING! They got great camera angles of the ceremony, my husband appreciated that they took the videos quickly as we were doing the pictures, and they really captured as much as they could. The video was also super clear and I really love how our vows are forever on the video even though we chose not to say them during the ceremony. *The two minor things I had concerns about were not enough to reduce their rating.
