I haven't been to a Bagel Factory in ages for some unknown reason…read more That day I had a lot time to spend while waiting for my car to get fixed around the corner. So I started with a chicken Caesar on a multiseed bagel and a cappuccino. The bagel might have been a bit too crisp / dry but still tasted like I remembered and liked them. Later I had a hot chocolate with marshmallows (surprisingly two big ones) and an americano and for lunch a chilly tuna melt again on a multiseed bagel - this time perfectly fine. In total I spend a good four hours here and loved the atmosphere. As it is a bit off the beaten track it's rather people from the surrounding offices coming in - a lot of them regulars that got greeted accordingly. The staff didn't mind at all me sitting there for so long and was very friendly to me and everyone else. But most of all I enjoyed how relaxed it was sitting there. So even if you're just sitting down for one bagel or sandwich - being surrounded by features of a Georgian house - even with mantelpiece - makes you feel like sitting in a living room.

My gf had a breakfast bagel, which comes with a small coffee till noon (~5 €). They have two outside tables, so you can sit outside while you enjoy your breakfast. The bagels tasted good and fresh, the Coffee was also good and even the small one was large enough to get your motor running ;-) Overall a good alternative to the pricey hotel breakfast.

Went to the restaurant atop Harvey Nichols for lunch. They have a great summer special on where you…read moreget 2 courses and a glass of wine for 22 euro. The food is 4 star worthy---I had a great braised lamb shoulder for my main and a really amazing carrot cake for dessert---yeah high end carrot cake, who knew! The desserts in particular were really well presented on these glossy slate boards. I did knock it down 1 star for painfully slow service. For such a high-end place the service was simply not up to par. Sorry but an hour and a half for lunch in a shopping centre is simply too long. To the waiter's credit, he did give us each a free glass of wine and coffee to make up for the delays. Tip---worth a browse through the expensive (alright very expensive) food hall just next to the entrance---some great finds there...

Located at the rear of the centre, it is on the precipice of the Pembroke District, a wonderful setting on a warm summers evening. The cafe sits just beside the main entrance to the upmarket store and is nestled neatly beneath the HN restaurant, all encased in glass. The cafè is surprisingly spacious, yet compact and stylish. The kitchen is visible, something I always favour and the dining area is not cramped but relatively comfortable. They've recently disposed of the meretricious multicoloured chairs and replaced them with sturdier and more comfortable seats, albeit they are a little clinical and insipid. Fortunately the same cannot be said about the food on offer. The menu is fairly extensive ranging from soups and sandwiches to the more fulfilling burger or fish and chips, all with the midis HN touch. Personally, I'd recommend the club sandwich, though at €12.95 one may struggle to find justification in paying such an extortionate amount. Portion over extortion for me, as well as being mammoth in scale, it's fraught with excellent quality ingredients. One of the most important things for me when dining in such a facility as this, is the quality of the coffee and once again it doesn't disappoint. The reason being that they use their own Harvey Nichols beans, subsequently sold in the shop above the cafè adjoining the restaurant, which are superb, even if a little weak for my taste. The staff are wonderfully genial as is the atmosphere. The only thing that sullies this cafè is the price of the food. But remember, this is Harvey Nichols, what did you expect? So I shan't throw stones in this glass house, it's too damn good.

Last night the curry was far too hot for a thai green curry. It was even hotter than a red green curry. I didn't fancy anything else off the menu as it's quite limited but the chef definitely over did it on the chillis. For what it is this place is quite expensive. I got the 19.95 special menu deal which worked out 15 cent cheaper than if I just ordered the exact same dishes off the menu separately... Not sure who thought up the specials but they obviously didn't put too much thought into them! I finished my main before my partner did and the waitress took my plate while my partner was still eating and she also asked me if I wanted my dessert. I told her id wait. On top of this other staff were hoovering around us which was just really rude and unprofessional. I'm giving it 3 stars as the first time I went the food and service was better but if I were to rate it on yesterday alone is only give it 2.5 stars! I won't be back

Also, because the space is so narrow, it gets very, very loud even when it isn't full -- might be ok for a quick work lunch but at a table of four we could barely hear each other over the din. I would have found it ok for a bar, but not for lunch. They did have gluten-free muffins to enjoy with our coffee (or without, in this case) so props for that.
