The jukebox plays Lynyrd Skynyrd, and basically the entire Forrest Gump soundtrack. And unlike most of the bars in this area this place is bright with a ton of natural light. They keep the doors open so the air runs through the place. It is a very historical bar covered in knick knacks which is kind of fun to look at. They have a pool table and darts. And here's the kicker - they have $4 CRAFT DRAFTS! Yes, local brews on tap for $4. That's cheaper than the breweries! Other brewski's will run ya around $2 bucks. Every time the bf came back from the bar he had a sneaky grin on his face and he would mouth the words to me "Six Dollars! Cindy, Six. Dollars." Those moments of him will be forever burned in my mind. With a collection of over 12,000 songs, its definitely the best karaoke Cincinnati has to offer. I am in awe of the selection of showtunes, including the ENTIRE soundtrack from RENT, not just "Seasons of Love" as one typically finds. Sean makes it possible for me to serenade bar patrons with such numbers as "Take Me or Leave Me," "Out Tonight," or "Another Day." Don't worry, once I finish with RENT, there are songs from pretty much every Broadway musical ever made. And lots of Weird Al Yankovic. All of Sean's songs come neatly arranged in binders. He has plenty to go around, both with listings by song title or by artist. He also has multiple wireless microphones which are great for group numbers, or in my case, songs that encourage me to dance off-stage while crooning. A fun, personable DJ, Sean is always up for singing duets and occasionally buys drinks for his regular singers. Karaoke has always been a blast, but Karaoke Fantastic elevates it to a higher level. They have a covered patio area as well as an outdoor bar. You can enjoy the weather and some live music while sitting at picnic tables or the outdoor bar. Some people brought their own lawn chairs as well. This is a really nice atmosphere for a laid back afternoon with some of the regulars that frequent this bar. The bar staff was helpful and knowledgeable of many drinks. I inquired about captain crunch shots and chocolate covered strawberries and they were familiar. The staff is incredibly warm and friendly. I cannot say enough about them and their welcoming demeanor. The doors typically open around nine, but things don't really get poppin' until after 10 or 11.
