He's been going since he was 6 months old and they feel like family! 12 months and younger, they update an app and follow your schedule for your baby. In the trans room, my son has good friends that literally cry when he leaves! My heart is breaking for taking my son from such a wonderful place with wonderful teachers and directors!! My…read moreBIGGEST CONCERN is that as a mother I don't believe a man changing a 2 year old girl diaper is acceptable especially without communicating with the parents. I have spoken with some parents and have came in conclusion that we were manipulated because initially we were told he was the music teacher and months later he transitioned into changing little girls diapers secretly. This has been a traumatic situation on all aspects. For me personally, I teach my daughter that no man should be down there meanwhile unknowingly a man has been changing her diaper in which her DAD doesn't even do... not to mention...The Director/ staff failed to notify the parents such as myself of these changes and under no circumstances should it be tolerated despite their lack of staff or excuses. Although this school is under investigation, this review is to shed light where there is darkness. Please don't take this review as a angry parent venting but rather take it from a safety perspective. This school gets new staff often but do not teach the staff to verify the parent before handing off children, my husband has had the wrong child brought to his vehicle and have addressed the importance of verifying parents before giving away children. If sanitation is a factor please understand that this school allows kids to share binkys (pacifiers) and bring them home. Although, some parents might be ok with their child sharing them I feel that it should be communicated. The lesson I learned from this was - Just because you are paying more doesn't mean you are getting the best. *Good luck .. please keep searching *

Sara is the best leader any daycare can have , she makes the place so much fun for kids! Cannot thank the teachers enough to be always on their toes for the kids. What's nice is that they keep the classrooms small and intimate and the teachers are there to stay! The entire time my son was there, none of the teachers left. Consistency is important when they're that young. In the beginning, it might take a little bit of adjusting because their system isn't streamlined like other daycares. So communication can be a bit slow, but if you're patient with them, you won't regret it because the things that matter and are important are there. They keep your child safe so you don't have to worry about their well-being and they make sure every student thrives. You have peace of mind while you're working or busy throughout the day. And you know your child is getting lots of attention because the class sizes aren't as big as some others that have up to 18 kids or more in one classroom. I'm very thankful to them and I highly recommend this Montessori!

There are so many reasons I like this school I don't even think I can list them all here, but here goes: -The school is owner run and I really feel like the director has a passion for sharing montessori with the kids and families. -The classes are staffed with wonderful montessori trained teachers. -It has a very cute setting in a cottage-like building and nice outdoor space which makes it feel very homey -You have the option to purchase lunch or bring your own where all the other schools I found required you to pay for lunch even if you brought your own. -There is a great group of parents who are active in the parent association -There are monthly educational enrichment programs brought in for the kids -There are monthly school-wide play dates so kids can socialize outside of school. There is a focus on fostering independence and responsibility in the classrooms and both my daughters have really enjoyed and thrived in this environment. I believe that some changes have been made regarding some of the complaints I see in these older reviews. Most importantly, our daughter loves the school. She is so excited to see her friends and teachers every day. I have never once had any concern that she was being mistreated in any way. When she was younger, we sent her to Bright Horizons daycare which was horrendous compared to NCMA. We get a daily paper report about our daughter's activities and interactions. I do appreciate that the teachers take the time to hand-write these notes everyday but I would prefer some sort of app to save paper and also see photos. The only other thing that I could possibly complain about is the playground for the younger children which, in my opinion, is a little too safe and could use something for the children to climb on and slide down. However, some may not see this as a bad thing. The school uses organic produce and milk (meat is conventional) and we were allowed to see the kitchen when touring the school. Also when touring the school, I was impressed that the director knew every child's name and greeted each warmly. During our tour, we were shown all of the classrooms and I was especially impressed with the infant room which was very quiet and quite different from most other daycares that I have toured with crying babies everywhere. I really liked that sleeping babies were given a quiet area to nap unlike a lot of other daycares where they are expected to sleep in noisy classrooms. Whenever I have had a question or concern, a meeting has been arranged with our daughter's teacher within 24 hours. Overall we are very pleased with NCMA and we are planning on enrolling our youngest soon.

When I brought this to the attention of the staff they were extremely uncooperative. I was advised by the teacher (Ms. Peace and Ms. Lupita) and the administrators (Heather/Caitlyn) they were under strict orders to not access any cameras and only the head of the school could see them. I reported this immediately to the head of the school/owner, Fahima Rouabah, she ignored my concerns and failed to investigate the matter. I received an email from Fahima Rouabah16 days after the incident only to advise me the camera footage had been erased. This was huge red flag for me considering they knew about my concerns on the day it occurred. They showed me an incident report but refused to provide me a copy. Additional concerns for me was the class ratios were completely unsafe - I walked in once to find one teacher with about 20 children. They mislead me to believe they offer organic food but this was untrue as they feed the children lucky charms and raisin bran for breakfast. The head of the school/owner Fahima Rouabah poorly managed this situation and was extremely unprofessional. There was no empathy, urgency or genuine concern for my child's safety. I have file a complaint with child protective services against this facility to look into my concerns and a complaint with the BBB as well regarding my concerns and to demand my tuition be reimbursed.
