We have been with Wonderland for one year and we want to continue to be with them but my oldest is going to an elementary school that is on the opposite direction, so now I have to take my little one out of Wonderland. It was such a hard decision because they are so awesome and accommodating. You won't go wrong with this school. Each teacher has a heart of gold. They see each child like their own. Both of my children love coming to the school. They feel safe and cared for. I recommend taking your child to the school and see if they truly fit with the atmosphere. They do follow the Montessori style in which they respect a child's choices in learning. My daughter started reading at two years old. By the time she was four years old, she was able to read a Dr. Seuss's book on her own. This is because of Montessori style embraces children's development at each stage. Each child is different in their speed and interest. This school help harness their talents and geared them to practical learning that helps incorporate the foundations of how to learn and how to think while building their self confidence and self motivation. We love all the teachers here. They all work in unison. Safety is their top priority thus giving an environment that will propel a child's curiosity which will mold them into a responsible life learner. He's also well on his way to being able to write his letters, which is pretty impressive for a 3-year old. They practice writing all the time - I love it. He knows how to write his name. Maybe that's unimpressive to some, but I'm impressed. And pleased. The staff is caring and present. It's like a family. Any concerns we've had were addressed immediately and professionally. Excellent customer service. Jenny, the principal, is really great. She has this place running like a well-oiled machine. Our son loves it there. He's always excited to go to school. The other kids seem excited to see him. The teachers seem to genuinely like him. And we LOVE the diversity in the classroom. Kids of various Latin backgrounds, white kids, black kids, Asian kids... wonderful mix of races. We loved his first "preschool" (pre-preschool), but it was pretty much White-Bread-McWhiteyson. Trying to think of any potential complaints... hmmm... well, the parking lot is super small and sucks, so be prepared to park on the street and walk a little (not far at all). That's normal there. Not a big deal. They use glitter in some art projects, and we all know glitter is the herpes of the art world. No need to spread that stuff around... Ah! The one thing I really dislike: uniforms. Our son has all these cool shirts that people give him, that he loves, and he only gets to wear them on weekends. Why do the kids need to wear a Spanish Schoolhouse shirt everyday? Seriously? What does it accomplish? That's the one thing that drives me crazy. But since it doesn't truly affect his education or overall experience, I'm leaving this at 5 stars. But I really do hate that he has to wear a uniform and I think there's ZERO reason for it at their young age. Call it 4.5 stars because I hate the uniforms rule. Seriously, I highly, highly recommend the Coppell SSH. They've got their game together. We toured the Castle Hills SSH too, and this was notably more impressive. I could not be more grateful to have found this gem. My sweet girl has grown tremendously. I have no doubt that between home and her time spent here she will be more than prepared to begin elementary school. Curriculum was important to me when I found Kiddie Academy, and I can say that Kiddie Academy has a great one. My baby girl is always learning something new. I'm a teacher and I come home and my daughter is discussing condensation and the water cycle with me, among other things. They are both so happy to go to school each day, my daughter literally does not want to miss a beat. I know that my children are loved and I'm so grateful for that. We recently moved out of the area to Aubrey, but my children will continue their preschool educations at Kiddie Academy Castle Hills because it honestly is that great. It is set up with stations and centers and manipulatives to encourage exploration and imagination, and to bring classroom concepts outside.
