I wish I could do 0 stars. I got here at 11:45 for a pedicure. They immediatley put me in a chair and then left me there for now almost an hour. Someone came over to ask what pedicure I wanted then told me she has to go help someone else because they were in a group. I said that I was here before them but apparently not. I asked for a towel to dry my feet so that I can leave and they walked away and said it'll be 2 minutes. It has now been 10 since that 2 minutes and I'm still sitting here. Terrible service. Salon experience was meh overall, although when I got there the appointment that I had set with my friend wasn't in their system so instead of my full set being at 1:00pm, it ended up being done around 1:45pm. Even with the appointments, my friend still didn't get in at 1:00pm like set, she got it around 1:30. My nails were okay, I was charged $5 for an "extra long nail", which wasn't discussed at all, since my nail tech didn't mention anything about the length I chose. They were all the same length and weren't an excessive length either. Gel on a full set was +16$. The nails were streaky in places but the nail tech was friendly so I looked past it. Meh. I went in prior to Christmas. I was visiting family in area, having come from a major city in another state. No one referred it but saw it one day and thought I would try it. Mistake. I was the customer for the male that works there, I never got his name. Within the first 5 minutes, he made a few misogynistic remarks to me. I was floored. When I called him out on it, He just laughed it off like it was no big deal. Wow okay. This place hires azzholes. He sang, giggled throughout the service . I just wanted out of there as soon as possible. Very unprofessional. His behavior would never fly in any professional nail salon, why does it here ? Well looking at these reviews, I see now. To add to this terrible visit, Their smoke detector beeped every 30 seconds. I brought it to his attention and he said really ? I thought you seriously cant hear that - it's loud ! Very rude!!! Spent over $400 for 4 manicures and pedicures for my family. The one employee was asking my niece (who was pregnant) very inappropriate questions (whether she was married, whether they lived in a house or apartment, how long they have known each other). My niece clearly was feeling uncomfortable, but she continued!! I asked for French tip powder... they said they could do it. Then 2 unskilled employees couldn't do it. A third tried and said it couldn't be done. Then, a customer shows me her nails!!! And guess what?!? Hers were done exactly as I wanted!!!! The employee told me to go elsewhere if I wanted that done. They needed to close. So then she rushed through my nails and they looked horrible!!! So I told her I wouldn't pay for them. So she said she would fix them, but I would have to pay for them first!!! What!!?? I said NO WAY. I'll just go to Luxury nails done they don't close until 9. She grabbed my hand and started to try again. So she redid them... they still look like a 3rd grader did them. Save your money and go to NY Nails right down the road. The receptionist at this place? So incredibly rude, not asking people to move so she could put dip powders and polishes away, instead opening drawers and expecting them to move and hitting your leg in the process. Picture this... You go in there and find the most perfect blue color for vacation to use on one of their 169 nail color pallets. Well forget that color because they're probably out of that one and any shade even close to it. Just make sure you ask when you go in for a pallet that has colors that are actually available or you'll waste your time finding one you like. While on the topic of time, make sure to make an appointment and go during the week. If you don't, you'll spend two hours on a Friday or Saturday finding that perfect shade they don't have while they poorly manage their time. I went in today for a pedicure and my poor feet soaked for NINETY MINUTES. Not sure how in the hell they painted those raisins. My sister waited that amount of time just to get seated for her nails (and sat for ten minutes while her nail tech looked totally lost). Don't use the skinny male nail tech there if he sits at your table. Apparently my friend doesn't have cuticles because he touched each nail for half a second and then applied dip powder to her nails AND the skin around it. Lucky her! She also had to pay $25 for whatever a "manicure" is and $45 on top of it for the dip powder? Wtf is a manicure then? Just save your hard earned cash and go to NY Nails. I left Ivy to go there and have them fix my sh**** nails, and they were super nice, squeezed me in, and charged me a reasonable minor fee to fix them. If you want poor customer service and to spend 4+ hours in the salon, go to Ivy! They'll take great care of you! ;) read more

Awful unsanitary hidden costs and hungry unprofessional unkept staff. Went here for a pedi with my hubby and the girl who did my toes was starving and wanted to drink while doing my toes. They don't change the plastic of after each person they keep them on. I will not ever go back and do not recommend them unprofessional and dirty. read more

I took my daughter (5 years old) here for a pedicure with me on a Sunday. We had to wait quite a while which is no issue, I didn't have a reservation or anything, and it was a weekend. Our pedicures were done well and we are happy with that. However, my issue is this place was not clean. It was clear as day that they haven't done any housekeeping or cleaning in a month if not more. Stuff on the floor, stains that could easily be mopped up, cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling. The bathroom trashcan had brown stuff splattered all over it. Went to ivy nails on two separate occasions and had to wait over two hours and while getting my nails done there was an issue with a customers nail that came off. They were very rude to the customer told her that they couldn't find where she paid for her nails and started scolding one of their workers for leaving his customer her was working on to fix her nails. very poor customer service very long wait time and average finished product. read more

Don't waste your $$. They charge you for length of nails, shape of nails, for regular polish and double for gel. They hassle you about gel polish the entire time. My pedicure was a joke (pictured below) with the extra charge for a design I dont mind paying the $$ if the quality is good. But that was NOT my experience. The manicurist asked if he could clean her cuticles up a little and advised it would be a $5 charge, which was fine. She ended up bleeding and has had sore fingers since. Thought I'd try out a different nail salon since I wasn't overly impressed with the job my usual place did on my nails the last time. If I'm switching, it won't be to here. I was quoted a price for a pedi. No mention that there'd be a $10 charge to take off the remaining gel polish on my toes. When I'd come in, I'd signed up to get a mani with gel polish. My nails look like they have speed bumps on them and that is after the nail tech buffed them down after I said something. Definitely won't be going back there again. read more

I went there for the very first time today & never again I paid $52 and some change for the nail tech Taylor she rushed through didn't talk much had an ear piece in and kept looking at her phone. I had a fill I. and she asked if I wanted them cut down & I said a little it was way more than a little. They are not all smooth or the same length at one point I had to tell her that one was very jagged. She filed but didn't even dust them off before starting to apply the acrylic to them. She didn't push back the cuticle nothing. My daughter sat down in her tech's chair approximately 5-10 minutes before me and I was done way before her she had a cute design & her nails were beautiful mine were not. NEVER AGAIN. He did not respond when he was told it was too hard. He did not trim my nails or remove my calluses. When he finished painting my toes he just got up and said your done and walked away. Just moved to the area and gave ivy a try. Took three and half hours for a pedicure and fill. I sat in the pedi chair so long the water went cold. Nails are uneven, nail tech couldn't hombre colors, and she rototilled my real nails to pieces even after I told her it was my natural nails with overlay on them. Bonus points for decor, friendly staff and cleanliness. Not the worst experience but not great. Will give it another shot at a later date. read more

Not to mention they made me switch nail techs during my service so they could help other people when I requested to keep the girl I had. Please do not go to this salon. It was my first time at this salon, and the man that did my nails made every single one of my fingers bleed. This has never happened to me before, I was in serious pain when he cut my fingers and they started to bleed while he was buffing and cutting back my cuticles. He didnt even acknowledge my flinching and continued on. WHILE GETTING BLOOD ON THE TOOLS. On top of that, he took 2.5 hours for a full set. Just ridiculous. I went into Ivy this Monday the 28th with my niece. We first got there and got sat right away, it was great! Then we sat down, my niece got the RUDEST girl i've ever seen in my life and she's 10! My guy was nice but he was very scarce with the nail glue and they kept falling off before even having acrylics put on. After the acrylics were on the changed what i wanted the regular paint, to dip powder without telling me the additional cost. While they were doing the dip powder they filed it so far down the acrylic lost its color is spots and by Thursday night my nail had already cracked. I wasted 106 dollars on me and my 10 year old nieces nails, mine were terrible quality nails and my nieces nail tech was so rude. read more

My experience was awful! I made an appointment for 5:30. I arrived there early, and my nails were not started until 7:30. The lady I had extremely rude. She charged me 80 dollars for a job that was supposed to be 55. She also way over charged me for the job she did. My nails were uneven, not filed, and very loose. After mentioning about how much I was overcharged, she yelled at me and continued to talk about me in non-english to her other employee. i came in to get my nails done and the lady that was doing them was very harsh with the filing of the nails and used her thumb to push my cuticles back very roughly, it hurt soo bad. the painting was okay but she left the polish on my pushed back cuticles, she didn't try to clean them off. and had left my old nail residue under my nails and left the bottom of my nails looking terrible i love the beautiful blonde there she was so nice but the overall nail experience was terrible i was very disappointed. it looks like i already need a fill. that's crazy read more

My mom and I went and got pre-wedding manicures and pedicures on Saturday 10/05 afternoon. We were taken to a pedi tub very quickly and the gentleman that I had came over. The girl working with my mom came over when I was nearly finished. My gentleman was very quiet but did an ok job. The girl with my mom was very personable and kind. It was interest the differences in the processes between the two, though. My mani wasn't that good, he seemed uncomfortable doing it actually. And now just two days later it looks pretty bad. I've went to both Ivy locations for years and years and the quality and experience had really went down hill. There was a couple younger girls just walking around and being loud and cursing about different things. The girl helping my mom even told the one to stop talking like that, it wasn't ok, but she just kept it up. It was a pretty good experience for my mom but I wasn't really happy. If I could give 0 stars, I would. My experience here was horrible. Today I met with a friend for a pedicure (I drove all the way from Findlay) and the man doing my toes literally ground my toenails in 2 different spots all the way to the skin under the nail, it hurts so bad. He did gel polish but didn't let it cure under the UV all the way and then was very quickly putting my shoes on my feet. After I left, my toes were really hurting so when I had time I took my shoes off and noticed the nails ground down to the skin and realized why it was hurting SO bad. Also the gel is just tacky and lumpy. All I can think is he must have realized what he had done and quickly put my shoes on so I wouldn't notice. It had hurt while he was grinding the toenails but I just thought maybe I was being a wimp... turns out I wasn't. I called and they refused a refund and wanted me to come in the store so they could see my toes for themselves... but I live in Findlay, I'm not driving all the way back for them to see my toes and just give me a gift card to come back and have another awful experience. I would not recommend this place to anybody, ever. Save yourself the pain and massive waste of money and go somewhere else. I literally paid FIFTY FIVE dollars for my toes to look like my 2 year old painted them, and to have my toes ground to my nail bed in 2 different spots. read more

This has to be the most unprofessional nail salon I have ever been to! If I could give them negative stars I would. My daughter got her nails done and was very upset because they looked nothing like the reference photo, which was blue french tips! How hard could that be? Well, at ivy it must be very difficult. When she called to explain her dissatisfaction she would told she couldn't not have her money back and she needed to come back in right now to receive service to fix them, that she could not wait until the following day because they're "too busy". Once she went back in for them to be fixed the staff was very rude and yelled at her to pick her color faster. This upset her to the point of tears. When I called to speak to someone about this I was put on the phone with the owner.I explained the dissatisfaction with their services and he insinuated my daughter was lying and that I needed tho hear his side of the story. I really didn't care to hear anyone's side of the story I just wanted the nails taken off or the money back. When I said they could at least take the hideous nails off he said, "that will be $15". We had a large party of 12 with a set appointment time for pedis, manis, and face/eyebrow waxes. We chose Ivy Nails on Elida because they have 20+ chairs. They did not have enough employees to service us all at the same time. 3 out of all of us had a good experience. Which I attribute to the individual employee providing the service. The rest were disappointed with the quality of service. Short massages on the pedis and manis, 15 minutes. And 38$ for a pedi deserves better massaging and more time. Polish not put on well. Had to ask for a second coat. Face waxing was lacking. They used the eyebrow size sheets to wax the face. They said they don't get many face waxes so they cut up there sheets primarily for eyebrows and didn't have any large sheets left. Had to go home and tweeze and use store bought wax sheets which were bigger and worked better. ( Not professional but worked better then the service here). They were in a rush as they were busy and had another large party coming in they said. One of us were told they had one of their regular customers waiting. Hence why she rushed on the manicure which was $30 and only 15 minutes. Why make an appointment if they aren't going to service us with professionalism?? It was overpriced and poor quality.
