My loved one started in assisted living and is now in memory care. It's been 9 months. After researching and visiting several places Ivy Park at Otay Ranch quickly rose to top of list and has since surpassed all my expectations. All the management staff and director are excellent. Anyone is helpful at front desk. Anytime I have called I am helped immediately or called back. The Director Calais has been extremely supportive in helping my loved one and me given several unusual situations. Her care and consideration of my person is very evident. As well my family member has adopted well in both locations because of all the attention she receives from staff, all the friends she has made and the right type of activities. She is at the lowest care levels too. The facility is gorgeous and smells good. Memory care and even the move to assisted living comes with a lot of emotions and change. It is not easy for anyone but I do think Ivy Park makes the best of it, for the residents and is also supportive of the family who is dealing with all. Found this place for my father and could not have made a better choice! I had been searching locations for a few weeks before finally connecting with Tammy Atkins at Ivy Park. From the very first conversation with her, I knew this was the right place. She's beyond sweet, understanding and helpful. When I toured and met other staff, everyone was so kind and engaging as well. Stacey, the facility director, is fantastic. He's been here for roughly 2 months now, and I couldn't be happier knowing he's safe and surrounded by people who care for him on a daily basis. He has told me a number of times that he is as happy as I am. His quality of life has increased exponentially. read more

I'd like to start of by saying the sales and marketing team at Ivy park are young, kind, and professional. The facility itself sells itself with its beautiful decor, several daily activities to join in on, and must I say DELICIOUS food! Kuddos to the chef as their menus through out time never seem to fail. The chocolate chip cookies are a must try! Eat one and let me know what you think. I've referred clients to them and all have been satisfied with the service and care. The building is always clean, smells fresh, and always very peaceful. There is plenty of parking for visitors and I've seen them grow exponentially in the past year due to their quality of service to the community. I can't say enough about Ivy Park at Otay Ranch. From Rachel who provided us the tour, to Calais the executive director, to the Med Techs and all of the caregivers, they were all spectacular! My mother was in the Memory Care facility and the folks that take care of the residents, truly cared about her well being. To be in this profession and take care of all different levels of dementia/alzheimers they are truly saints in my opinion! I want to let you know how incredible the food is here at Ivy Park at Otay Ranch. My wife and I have lived here for 1 1/2 years and the dii o o o d choices are getting more diverse and surprising in the combination of flavors and smells. Just this week, the turkey burgers with Brie cheese and cranberry compote, topped off with sweet potato fries was fantastic. The roasted pear salad was to die for, the various tastes and textures. Taking our mom to this place was the worse mistake we ever made. She needed around the clock care and we all still work, we thought she would be taken care of. What a freaking joke that was. They lost two months worth of her medications. They've lost or misplaced so many of her personal belongings (supplies, clothes, personal care items). There isn't enough staff to provide adequate care. She's been hospitalized twice and lost 24 pounds in the two months she's been here. She is home, where she belongs now. Don't make the same mistake we did. read more
