Gosh, where to begin! My father William, has been living and thriving at ActivCare Rolling Hills…read morefor more than a year now. He was residing at another assisted living/memory care facility in San Diego which met his needs for 3 years. His Alzheimers continued to progress leading to falls and behavioral issues which were no longer manageble there. We had to find Dad a new home which could meet his needs. After visiting several other places, many online due to COVID restrictions, we heard about Rolling Hills in passing. We made an appointment to visit and tour with Sophia and the rest is history. My wife and I knew that day we wanted Dad to live there. I have said this many, many times over the past year..... This has been our miracle, such a blessing for Dad and our family! We were concerned that the extent of Dad's behaviors of dementia would rule him out for admission. Dad was evaluated thoroughly and within several days (It took a bit longer due to COVID testing at the time). we moved him into his new home. From DAY 1 my father has thrived at Rolling Hills. Despite the relentless challenges and progression of an Alzheimers diagnosis, he is truly 'living' with the best quality of life that we could hope for ALL due to the staff and care he continues to receives 24/7! From the moment he wakes up in the morning, they have him dressed and out of his room, into the big 'great room' where he can socialize, roam, participate in activities and eat until it's time to crawl into bed at the end of the day. The staff treats Dad with dignity, respect and love. They have become part of Dad's family; he trusts them. They have taken the time to understand his ways and they never give up trying to help him even at his most trying moments. The Rolling Hills administration team led by BB Smith is hands on! They aren't hidden away is back offices somewhere. We often find them in the great room assisting the residents and socializing with them. They take the time to 'know' each resident. The care team is THE BEST! They truly perform a ministry caring for persons with all types of dementia and other cognitive issues. They approach each resident individually. The needs can change hour to hour and they meet this challenge. We are so blown away over and over at how they work as a team to give Dad and everyone the best quality of life possible on a daily basis. The activities are endless and tailored to meet the needs of each resident. My wife and I have participated in several ourselves and have had a lot of fun! It truly takes a solid team to keep Rolling Hills running so smoothly and professionally. Maintenance, Housekeeping, Nursing, Admin, Dietary, Activities... The Rolling Hills team ACROSS THE BOARD, make it happen! I will conclude with this: Since Dad began living at Rolling Hills we can sleep solidly at night; enjoy time with friends, go out of town all the while having full confidence and trust in everyone that Dad is surrounded by at ActivCare of Rolling Hills. We are grateful beyond measure! Kim and Karen

Unfortunately health complications and dementia issues made that no longer a possibility. Rolling Hills Ranch is the next best option. The level of care and interactions I've seen have put my mind at ease that my grandfather is well taken care of and while at first he was resistant to living there now it seems like he prefers it in many ways. ActivCare is a wonderful place for him to spend his final days.

Searching and not finding an adequate place (20 till then) that I knew he/we would be comfortable with, thankfully The House of Grace was the next and immediately it blew out any other facility by far. The road access to the home, cleanliness, size of the rooms hallway, bathroom setup and the warmth of the staff jumps right at you. It was a yes for us the first few minutes. After my step-dad moved in, very quickly did we know it was 100% the right atmosphere for him with the staff being as professional and caring as they are that yes, he felt safe and trusted the staff. He had less than a year of life at the facility and what stuck me is that the staff really felt the loss of my step-dad. We will forever feel blessed that we were fortunate to find the House of Grace. We love them!!!!! Sincerely, Daniel Moreno - Biomedical Technician/HealthCare/California Representative

As our mother's health gradually declined, the caregivers never stopped treating her with patience, dignity, and respect. They cared for her not simply as a resident, but as a person whose comfort and well-being truly mattered. One of the things that impressed us most was the consistency of the staff. From the reception team to the caregivers, nurses, dining staff, housekeeping, maintenance, and management, everyone we encountered was friendly, caring, and committed to providing exceptional service. It is clear that Pasea has built a culture where residents come first. We are especially grateful to Executive Director Kim, whose leadership, compassion, and unwavering dedication are evident throughout the community. When we learned she had returned as Executive Director, it brought our family tremendous peace of mind. Her commitment to excellence and resident-centered care is reflected in every aspect of Pasea. We also want to recognize Nef, who has been an incredible source of support throughout our mother's stay. He was always responsive, compassionate, and willing to help whenever questions or concerns arose. Families going through difficult times need people like Nef, and we are deeply grateful for his kindness. Pasea itself is beautiful, welcoming, and impeccably maintained, but what truly sets it apart is its people. Beautiful buildings can be found anywhere; compassionate caregivers cannot. The warmth and humanity of the entire team are what make this community so special. Our mother is now leaving Pasea only because she has the opportunity to be reunited with our father, who is in hospice care at another facility. While our hearts are heavy because of the circumstances, we leave with profound gratitude for everyone who cared for our parents over these past several years. Thank you to every caregiver, nurse, receptionist, dining team member, housekeeper, maintenance staff member, administrator, and volunteer who touched our parents' lives. Your kindness gave our family comfort during some of the most difficult years we have ever faced. If you are looking for an assisted living or memory care community where your loved one will be treated with dignity, compassion, and genuine respect, I wholeheartedly recommend Pasea. Our family will always be grateful for everything you have done. From: Dr. Aireen Gutierrez (UCSD-Dept of Geriatrics)

Miguel and we were thrilled. She did not get the chance to live in the independent living area as she was admitted to the healthcare center but she loved it. From that first Saturday night we were treated as family. It was still COVID and they had wonderful precautions that always made you feel safe. Momma immediately became part of the community She may not have been able to walk but she had everything else. She joined in the recreations from bingo to "21" to dominoes to singing and telling stories. Everyone knew her. She thrives on making people laugh and the entire staff loves her. Mt Miguel was a true gift to our family. From the CNA's to the kitchen staff to the recreational staff they always made momma feel great. A special shout out to Tom and Olivia who not only always made sure momma was good -they now have become our friends for life. We never wanted to have to admit momma anywhere but it eventually became too much for us to handle. Mt.
