They offer independent, assisted and memory care. The memory unit is separate but the assisted residents are able to have meals with the independent residents. Very clean, friendly. Our parents moved to Pasea in 2021, and during the years that followed, we witnessed firsthand the compassion, professionalism, and genuine kindness that define this community. As our mother's health gradually declined, the caregivers never stopped treating her with patience, dignity, and respect. They cared for her not simply as a resident, but as a person whose comfort and well-being truly mattered. One of the things that impressed us most was the consistency of the staff. From the reception team to the caregivers, nurses, dining staff, housekeeping, maintenance, and management, everyone we encountered was friendly, caring, and committed to providing exceptional service. It is clear that Pasea has built a culture where residents come first. We are especially grateful to Executive Director Kim, whose leadership, compassion, and unwavering dedication are evident throughout the community. When we learned she had returned as Executive Director, it brought our family tremendous peace of mind. Her commitment to excellence and resident-centered care is reflected in every aspect of Pasea. We also want to recognize Nef, who has been an incredible source of support throughout our mother's stay. He was always responsive, compassionate, and willing to help whenever questions or concerns arose. Families going through difficult times need people like Nef, and we are deeply grateful for his kindness. Pasea itself is beautiful, welcoming, and impeccably maintained, but what truly sets it apart is its people. Beautiful buildings can be found anywhere; compassionate caregivers cannot. The warmth and humanity of the entire team are what make this community so special. Our mother is now leaving Pasea only because she has the opportunity to be reunited with our father, who is in hospice care at another facility. While our hearts are heavy because of the circumstances, we leave with profound gratitude for everyone who cared for our parents over these past several years. In mid December 2022 I was all of a sudden left to find a Chula Vista Assisted Living or Memory Care location within one week for my mom to move to from her prior facility in Rancho Bernardo. To be sure, a super rushed situation. Here's my feelings after nearly/only a month in of mom living here at St. Paul's Plaza, a pick I/we are very happy with. I stopped in and on-site reviewed five nice/better Assisted Care with Memory Care facilities in CV in two days. St. Paul's Plaza was one of two with the best, most well appointed and sunny memory Care sections of all those I visited. Prior to their assessment of her condition, I had no way of knowing whether she'd be going to an Assisted Living area, or a Memory Care segment and as she is a very visually stimulated patient, I wanted somewhere nice and cheery as could be. This newer St. Paul's Plaza Memory Care section is well lit by sunlight, has an always assessable patio area, with nicely fresh and well appointed rooms and hallways. For a facility where I can also take her over to the other areas to eat or sit or enjoy different areas which are not only memory care, this is absolutely the top facility I have seen. Mom is in the early stage of dementia and doesn't always exhibit signs of this, but she also has physical health issues and is a fall risk. She needs Stand By help at all times when using her walker. Due primarily to her specific needs and my want for her to have hands on checks and care at many times or 24/7 at her room, I preferred that she be in memory Care vs AL. Thankfully that is where she located to and it's worked out exactly as I had wished. St. Paul's Plaza facility is stunning for anyone wishing to move there. Most everything about it feels fresh, beautifully appointed, professionally run and quick to meet my requests and questions on an ongoing basis. Genesis was the one I worked with in reviewing the facility and she was fantastic to work with as is Lindsay, the Services Coordinator. I love how responsive and patient the staff was right off with our questions and myriad odd requests, always keeping me updated and in the loop at a bit of a panic'd time for us. While mom is not entirely happy to be located to memory care, I am. The staff has helped to make sure she's involved in multiple activities daily, including in the general areas with other residents so that she doesn't get left feeling forgotten or locked into the one section. I am sure this has greatly improved her mental sharpness. Mostly tho I'd like to highlight how the care and medical staff have worked with me/us to make sure all our concerns about her medical and physical therapy needs, as well as coordination with Sharp Transitions/Hospice have been met and not left forgotten. They are often "On It" with her need for something, or a need to contact her Sharp nurse before any need for me to contact them. And they always keep me in the loop. Such a better piece of mind situation from her previous, under-staffed location where although they tried hard, there just wasn't the level of care she needed. Here at St. Paul's, when I stop in without notice and one of the staff is finishing up painting her nails for her.., and she's loving it, I'm thrilled at the attention, and I'm left feeling happy and confident in my choice for her new home. Not only has she been working double shifts and must be exhausted; you would never know as she always has a warm smile and a kind demeanor! Hear yee hear all..St Paul Plaza s the best place to live for seniors.. I had encountered w a sick Uber driver when I came home I felt sick I called for nurse on duty... I was thoroughly checked.. the nurse also did a Covid test @ the same time... I m a resident n I recommend St Paul Plaza for active independent living as well as assistant living..we ve an excellent executive chef Marvin... the food s delishously excellent we now get fresh vegetables n fruits from a local farm( from farm to our tables) naturally sweet n delish. All staff working here re excellent..we get excellent ventilation..we need more active independent residents! read more

They gave my grandma the vaccine without our permission after we told them we didn't want her to have it because she has Alzheimer's and health issues. After they gave it to her she got very sick and her face is swollen and now she's in the ER SUFFERING very bad and we are planning to SUE because we don't have money for how much it's costing us read more

Visited St. Paul's Plaza yesterday and had an excellent tour from Genesis. The place is really quite impressive. Stunning views from various patios and plazas scattered around the large building, with quiet and peaceful places to sit in the sun or shade, read, rest, visit, etc. It's very clean, in excellent condition (only three years old), and has great amenities, including a heated indoor pool. The prices are reasonable, plus if you're a veteran you get a 10% discount. Also, it's in a really nice, recently-developed area, with a lovely park just across Palomar Avenue to the north, with easy access to mass transit (bus 712, which connects to the Blue Line trolley). We have been researching various memory care locations for our 89 year old Dad and 91 year old mom. After looking at all other alternative locations we were recommended to check out St Paul's Plaza. What a true blessing when we made our initial call to St Paul. Kim Stratman, administrator and Lizette Schulz were so prompt and responded to all our questions. Once we were able to visit the site, with full PPE and their health protocols, we were impressed. Once we stepped in the facility for a tour, what a gem. It was only 5 years in operation, but the facility looks like you stepped into a "cruise". There are two areas for assisted living and memory care, we love all the windows and lighting throughout, there is a wide range of landscaping for our folks to walk around, and special events, dining area with menus, a pub (can't wait to order wings) for visiting families (after Covid), athletic facility with heated pool and athletic trainer, beauty spa and so much more. When we brought our parents inside the facility, within 10 minutes our mom said "am I in Heaven"? After the tour our father said, "I was ready to die but now I can live forever". This really touched all our hearts. Getting ready to move in, we were struck how the entire staff and community welcomed our parents. Besides Kim and LIzette's outstanding service, we also would like to thank Christian Cacho and Lindsay Hahn who made it so easy for our parents. If I can put 6 stars, I would. The place is top notch, beautiful, high standards, well managed, many health professionals to assist all patients 24/7. I highly recommend for all to check this out for your elder needs. My father recently completed a two week respite stay at St. Paul's Plaza in their memory care section of the community. From the initial outreach of gathering info to the end of his stay, the staff was truly wonderful. Lizett was so communicative, kind and helpful. She made the process very seamless and I felt confident in my dads safety and care the whole time. The grounds are beautiful and their activity calendar is robust. I received photos and videos of my dad, dancing, playing games and overall comfortable and happy. St Paul's Plaza was the first memory care location that I felt good about after touring and we know if we need long-term living options for him, we know we have found a safe and happy place. read more

Very nice place, my mother in law placed a several thousand dollar deposit on a room for grand pa. Grand pa was not accepted to the facility well over a month ago, she has still not received her deposit. We plan to sue if she is not paid immediately!!!!! read more

The plaza as we like to call it has been a wonderful Home for my parents for nearly two years now. From the moment my parents arrived it to now, my parents have found an amazing community. Compared to other communities, the plaza is a gem - it feels like a high end hotel but doesn't break the bank. Genesis was phenomenal getting us the best rate and finding the perfect rooms. The staff is gracious, kind and caring - what you'd expect and then some. The plaza just gives you that special home like feeling you won't find in other communities. An added bonus is Sharp Rees-Stealy is right across the street so my parents can walk to their doctors, get labs, and see specialists. There are several restaurants and a park within walking distance as well. The community activities and on site fitness are also an added bonus. I Just Moved Into St. Paul's Plaza. After looking at over ten local senior facilities, I selected St. Paul's Plaza as the place I wanted to live. Genesis was my interface for several visits before I decided to move in and she was beyond wonderful in answering questions, describing the facilities and conducting several tours with me to make sure I had taken in everything St. Paul's offers. Now that I'm here, I can tell you that the food is excellent. There are no set eating hours and you can eat in the pub from 7 am till 7 pm, or have dinner in the dining room from 4 pm to 7 pm. The staff is wonderfully attentive, helpful and know each of the residents. Janet, the Fitness Director will help you set up a fitness routine in the gym, pool or exercise studio. The facilities are spotless, in excellent condition and my third floor room overlooks the beautiful south bay and islands off Mexico off in the distance. A must place to tour if your looking for a senior residence but I'll warn you, most other places will not come close for outstanding facilities, amenities, friendliness, caring and cost. After careful consideration and looking into several memory care facilities, we chose St. Paul's Plaza and everyone at this beautiful "home" has been kind, caring, going our out of their way to make sure that everything was handled with grace and efficiency. This is a difficult decision to make and St. Paul's is a perfect fit. Jessica and Genesis were amazing. Their help was professional with a huge dose of kindness. See for yourself...go to other facilities and you can see the careful planning that went into St. Paul's. They have thought of everything. It's like a beautiful, lovely resort. For my Mom, the fact the memory care is very secure is wonderful, yet, she can go outside, wander to her hearts content, yet, she always has friendly help, 24/7. Of course, the staff is what makes this home a blessing. Everyone is so nice and they have great ability in working with memory care, keeping them busy and well-fed, active as they like and happy.
