I consider myself a bit of a food snob but the food at Guilford House is definitely above any hospital or medical rehab facility that I have attended. Many of our friends recommended the Southington Care Center, and we were fortunate to get in there. I cannot speak more highly of this organization! Attentive, skilled, and caring Nurses, CNAs, and Aides. And the PTs, OTs, and Speech Therapists were not only highly skilled and effective, but they all had amazing and genuine interpersonal skills - a very rare combination. The supporting staff from Admissions to the Social Worker/Transitions professionals, and other Staff were simply great. Other reviews mentioned issues with the food - but we found the food to be unexpectedly well-prepared and delicious! Sure, 5 weeks, 3 meals a day, to hundreds of patients, there were a couple "misses". But my Wife and I were stunned at how good the food was overall. Great job everybody! We are SO grateful that Carol was able to go to the Southington Care Center. (A Note to management... and this is NOT a SCC issue... I STRONGLY recommend you find a different Wheelchair Ambulatory Service than that from "Nazim" [860-990-1172].
