I have been having issues with getting extra help especially during this covid-19 pandemic. I am deaf and all classes are online. I depend on interpreters but unfortunately at times I miss things because of internet issues. I have no other underlining disability and they are requiring documentation that I have a learning disability to get the extra help.

Both the AD's plus the head VB coach were very discriminatory. They don't care about Safety of their student worker or student athletes. Nor do they talk what they preach. I've experienced many uncomfortable situations involving a guy "stalking" me and many other students and SHELTON would go up to my friends that worked there at the time and deliberately tell them I was being dramatic and I wanted the attention and this and that. This was during the summer when No staff were around to even watch us or "work us" Sitting in the booth was my most scariest encounerment because no one was there except for the boy that would not leave me alone. Multiple texts were made to my bosses and they proceeded to say "you'll be fine" I left my shift early because of the fact i was Uncomfortable. I still feel silenced and hurt to this day because I poured my heart and soul into my AD's and they turn around and betrayed me. I was big on supporting student athletes. I was in charge of a task my Assistant AD told me to do. I did exactly that and realized an athlete who had perfect GPA since the minute they came to IUN until the minute they left did not get the award as deserved. I was told i was out of place and was told to stay out of business where business was placed in my hands. The level of disrespect created made me hate this place. Therefore if u plan on being a student athlete here of color. Think twice about your choices. I hope these Pity AD's see this and simply reflect on themselves to DO BETTER and TAKE BETTER CARE OF YOUR STUDENT ATHLETES. A year later of me graduating and I still hold his guilt not opening my mouth saying what I had to say even knowing what i was to say or do would be shut down in an instant. Flat out terrible, disappointing, and sad, follower, shows favorites, shows her true colors, discriminatory towards those who are not white or mexican. Do. Better.

This is a beautiful campus. We were looking for the ice rink to see my grandson play hockey but…read moregot a bit turned around. I stopped a young man who was a student and he explained exactly turn by turn how to get to the Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse which houses the rink. He was a shining example of the type of friendly, respectful and well spoken student one would hope to find here. The ice rink was state of the art and spectator seats were comfortable chairs and not the usual bleacher style seating. It was a comfortable temperature inside as well.

Athletes Beware! Had to transfer out after just one semester due to improper and unprofessional…read moretreatment from head football coach. The coach is also the athletic director so his behavior can affect multiple sports. We filed a complaint with the school administration including the new college president regarding this matter, but not sure if anything will be done to address the issue as the president did not want to be directly involved despite our multiple attempts. Another administrator who is very professional reached out and assured that necessary steps will be taken to improve the athlete experience. I sure hope improvements will be made as Lake Forest otherwise is a good school with friendly and caring professors. The team/class/roommates were also friendly.

I like the convenience of this branch being in Valpo. I just wish they offered more classes here…read more So nice to not have to drive as far. Plus the classes sizes are typically small. Easy to get around here as opposed to larger campuses. Perfect for Valpo and nearby towns' students.
