I walked in on a Monday afternoon to an empty salon, and I figured I might as well take advantage of no wait. I asked for a full set and was immediately sat down with a bunch of colors to choose from. He got to work quick and suggested almond shape for me, I hadn't tried the shape before so I said why not? Went to ivys from a reference & Jasmine absolutely killed it!!! She was so incredibly sweet & her vibe was so genuine. The place itself was cute, not too busy at the time I went. Man, I realized when I was looking for nails salons that people are PICKY. Every place has only 2 or 3 stars, making choosing a place based on reviews VERY hard. Anyways, I decided to come to Ivy's because 1. It was open on a Monday without an appointment and 2. It was open until 7pm. We made an appointment for 5:45pm and were seen right away when we walked in. I am so glad we choose this place. I got a great dip nail that lasted about a month and gel on my toes that is still going strong. The only thing I would change is the lady that did my nails rushed a bit, which felt odd to me. If she didn't, she could have cleaned up my cuticles and given me that short hand massage that usually happens during a manicure... still, I'm looking forward to my next visit to give them another try and I live 45 minute away. read more

I never really write reviews but yesterday, the salon went above and beyond and I had one of the best nail experiences I've had here in town. I was desperate to get my old acrylic set off (done somewhere else) and I had gotten a soak off at Ivy's before (which by the way, is the most gentle place in town and THE PLACE to get a soak off at). So I got a soak off yesterday and they were very patient with my fragile, damaged nails. I then decided I wanted to do the acrylic dip (I don't know of anywhere else in town that does it). I had a great soak off experience but was nervous to apply any product because my nails were breaking and so weak, but they made magic happen. They put an extension on my one broken nail and were super gentle and patient with me. I can't believe they salvaged as much of my natural nail as they did. Look at the before and after. They also have a nice assortment of colors (even for the dip)! Prices are average (not high not low) but I would say quality is above average. read more

Maybe it was a day when the good staff was off? My daughter has been here a few times, always been very happy. Yesterday she, my granddaughter and I went for mani and pedis. We had 3 manicurists, only 1 did a good job. My granddaughter had a male manicurist that did an amazing job for her. I got the worst manicure I've ever had and I get my nails/toes done regularly for 30+ years. She didn't remove my clear polish, she kept trying to upsell me to gel, the ends of my nails aren't polished and the clear coat doesn't go to the edge. She over polished on to my cuticles, didn't clean it off. Unfortunately I didn't have my glasses on so I didn't notice until later. I asked my daughter when we left if she was happy, she said "no, it's the worst mani pedi I've ever had here". She felt bad because she recommended we go here and I spent well over $150 for the 3 of us. I would not recommend going there.... It seems to be inconsistent. My manicurist was a lady over 40 who obviously doesn't do this on a regular basis. My daughter had a male that was more concerned with speed than quality (for no reason, they weren't busy at all). She said when she's been before she had young girls who were so eager to do a great job. Great massage, took their time. They need to get the young girls full time. If you go, insist that you get one of them or the male at the first manicure table by the door. He was great. Otherwise, go to another shop, you'll be happier. read more

I want to start by saying everyone was really nice, especially the owner. But that may have been the only positive aspect of my experience. The guy doing my manicure had a skin rash/fungus that was concerning, I would have been a lot more comfortable if he would have been wearing gloves. I asked for round nails, he gave me almond first and when he asked if I liked it I told him I wanted them rounder which of course resulted in them being much shorter than I had wanted, no big deal. Then I picked a color, and they brought me color wheels. I told them I wanted THAT color and they said no that bottle is empty. It looked completely full to me and if it is empty, they should throw it out instead of pretending to have a larger selection than they do, because it's false advertising. They recommended a color I ended up really liking! I wanted a snowflake design, he asked if I was okay with stickers, which I was! But then that was a whooole other issue let me be fair, HE TRIED, hard, but they were near impossible to remove from the packaging, then they wouldn't stick to my nails. He ended up giving up and curing them that way, so they look like they're peeling off. It looks horrible. He should have just said it wasn't possible I would have been WAY happier. I really wanted to like this place, but for $68 before a tip, I can't say I'd return. read more

Most of them don't do designs, so if you only want a simple manicure/pedicure this is a good place. Pretty reasonably priced. My daughter and I were here on a girls weekend and came here for a mani/pedis. We were the first customers and they already were rushing through the services. They used the drills for everything and were super aggressive. The man doing my pedicure cut my big toe pretty badly and used glue to fix!! They don't seem like they disinfect anything so I'm nervous about the cut. Then, I let them talk me into dip (vs gel) and I don't know what on earth he was doing. Dip is pretty straightforward but he did so many coats and so much filing it took forever. The only reason for two stars instead of one is because our nails look decent. I took my tween nieces here for last minute mani pedis. I thought the salon was clean and cheerful. The accommodated the three of us last minute. My nieces wanted some fancy nail art which the manicurists did a great job with. The people were super nice and I think all family. They seemed very happy and were talking and laughing with each other and us the whole time. They do a powder tip that I haven't seen before but that the owner said was healthier then gel. They abruptly used a dremal tool to file my nails and then they had me soak half the length of my fingers in acetone for 15 minutes- then I asked how much longer to soak and she said until the gel polish is off- left at that point. 2 weeks later and, my nails and fingertips are still a mess and they look as if I have been chewing on them. read more
