After I pointed it out, they corrected it, so I assumed it was an honest mistake and decided to come back. On our second visit, I ordered wings and a spicy mezcalita. The drink wasn't spicy, so I asked if they could make it a bit hotter. They added more Tajín. Fine. Not what I meant, but not worth arguing about. The real issue came with the bill. I was charged nearly 600 pesos for the mezcalitas. When I asked why, I was told that because I requested extra spice, they charged me as if I had ordered another drink. Meanwhile, their margaritas are listed at 119 pesos. Charging hundreds of extra pesos because a customer asks for a little more spice is absurd. The food was mediocre, the restaurant smelled like sewage inside, and the server had already added himself a 15% tip. When I declined the automatic gratuity, he was clearly unhappy about it. I still left 10%. After two visits involving questionable charges, disappointing food, and poor service, we won't be returning.

I've now made it my quest to find somewhere near me where I can get something even remotely comparable. I also appreciate that they had 'kid cocktails.' All 3 of my boys felt so adult sipping on their special mocktails. Our wait staff was a tad out of sorts, they would often say they were going to grab something for us (i.e. a high chair) and then completely dissapear. In the case of the high chair we just ended up finding one ourselves. But I think this issue stemmed from them just being so busy and slightly overstaffed. When they were with us, they were nothing short of fantastic. Honestly, if I ever return to Cancun, I will absolutely be returning here. It was that good. It makes getting the all inclusive package worthwhile. I will, however, avoid going on mariachi night.
