The House Steak with corn, vegetables and potatoes

Hacienda Sisal has a warm welcoming atmosphere. Decorated in the traditional style. The wait staff were very attentive and friendly. German and Jorge had big smiles and saw to all our needs. The house steak was tender with a beautiful presentation. The churros were a great choice to finish off the meal. Crispy & delicious. On Tuesday nights they have a Mexican band entertaining. The singer's voice was beautiful. Powerful & strong. The music was excellent.

We celebrated my mom's birthday and everything was perfect. The wait staff was attentive without being intrusive. The food was delicious. I had the blackened sea bass with mashed potatoes and veggies. The fish was flakey and flavorful. The potatoes were a bit salty, but I'm a bit sensitive to salty foods. I didn't try any desserts, but the did look appetizing , so that's something to look forward to in the future. The atmosphere is very intimate. The lights are dimmed but the restaurant isn't dark. It's a quick walk from the hotel, so we didn't need extra transportation.

We dined at Gran Sisal on Wednesday evening and it was an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious . The decor was classy and classic. The service was great. Our resort concierge arranged for the mariachi band to serenade me for my birthday. It was

Great location on the main street of Cancun attractions. Building is very attractive and big. Drinks and food were prefect. I've been here several times and I'm never disappointed. It's close to the mall and easy to catch the bus if you need to.

This location is great for anyone staying at Royal Sands resort. It's located on the property. Sisal offers traditional Mexican food and has a lot of tequila based drinks. I was very excited to try the mezcal drinks. I tried 2 of the mezcal drinks and was not impressed. I did not finish either of those drinks. Their was too much mixed and not enough mezcal. The drink tasted watered down by the mixers. Excellent presentation of the drinks. However, it's probably ideal for most resort patrons. The food seemed fresh and well made, however could have used a bit more spice and a few people at the table agreed that the food was a bit bland. There is AMAZING live music. The singer is one of a kind. Again. Come for the food, stay for the music. Outdoor seating is nice, but could get a bit noisy. Service was a bit slow. 3 hrs for a meal and we were not trying to draw things out. It's not a bad thing. We were not rushed through the meal.

    Special after dinner coffee. Yummy

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Cancun. The food is excellent. The wait staff is fantastic and the ambience is nothing short of welcoming and warm. We only had seven nights in Cancun and we chose to return here to eat a second time during this trip. Are lotta good restaurants in Cancun so to get us back there a second night in one vacation, it has to be pretty special. Both nights we had something different and enjoyed all of the dishes Immensely. Don't forget to try the tableside guacamole, prepared by your waiter. Unlike many other Mexican style restaurants in Cancun, or anywhere else, this food is very authentic and the tastes are superb. Don't miss this if you have the opportunity.

An incredible place right outside the Royal Sands Hotel. This restaurant is part of the ALL INCLUSIVE if you are a member gf The Royal Sands Hotel but u can also have dine if you are not but make reservations in advance because get full fast. The Brunch on Sundays is AMAZING the dinners here are the most elaborate with specialty drinks and a la cart Manu. Service is excellent, food is delicious and drink are strong just the way u want to celebrate your vacation. If you like strong coffee ask for a double expresso :)

Food : 1) ordered sopa, horchata, enchiladas. Horchata was good other dishes were very mediocre or less. Service: To get the above 2 items it took more than 25 min! I would rate the service to be less than average. Ambiance: Ambiance was good. Decor was nice and there was live music aswell. In short very pricey for below average food. I won't come here again.

One of the restaurant included in our All Inclusive package - I think they do per reservation but we only do walk ins. Make sure you have smart casual clothes and no tank top for man. People are nice and attentive - the place have outdoor and indoor tables they can also sing for any event you have. They usually have bands roaming around. The food was fine - we like most the shrimp with avocado, carnitas and churros. Recommend to visit here especially if you booked in Royal Sands.

One of the nicer looking restaurants we ate at but the food was a huge disappointment. We orders a whole bunch of stuff. I asked for my margarita on the rocks with mezcal was meh. The fajitas were bad . They had a dish that cost $150 on their menu which my husband and son wanted to get big changer their mind . Which turned out to be a good decision.

I was looking for authentic Mexican food. Unfortunately this place was lacking flavor in their dishes. Don't get me wrong the food is tasty but does not taste authentic. Needs some spices and missing a kick. I believe the food/flavors are catered to tourist. Food is better than Resort food!

If I could give this place 6 stars, I would! Best restaurant we've been to in Cancun this week. Best food and best experience. We started with the table side guacamole, which was outstanding without being salty. Then we ordered sangrias all around - very good. By the time we tasted our sangrias, the mariachi band had fired up and they were playing LaBamba and an older couple were out dancing!! We hadn't even received our main entrees yet : ) I ordered the carnitas, which were dee-lish-us!! The blue corn tortillas were a nice touch. To top it all off, we had some of the best churros I've ever had - fresh out of the oven. I'm pretty sure we'll be back.

All-in-all it was worth the inconvenience. Very eclectic menu, warm atmosphere and outstanding service. I started withe the Mango-Tamarind: Lettuce, Indian walnut, mango, blueberries, Cotija cheese, mango-habanero dressing and tamarind billet. Unique and tasty. "Swiss Chicken Enchiladas" for the main course was not what you get at a local Mexican joint -- Four tortillas stuffed with chicken, bathed in a creamy tomatillo sauce with melted cheese and a base of refried black beans. This was a 5-star dish! I couldn't resist ordering a side dish though I didn't need to because the enchiladas were really enough, so I indulged myself with fries: these were not your run of the mill French fries. Porfirio's Potatoes -- French fries with chipotle pepper aioli, parmesan cheese and parsley. Finally, if you like ice cream I highly recommend that you order BOTH offerings: 1) "ICE CREAM TASTING" - Strawberry ice cream, chocolate ice cream from Metate, marzipan ice cream and vanilla from Papantla. Served with grated coconut, chocolate grain, M&M's, Oreo cookies and ice cream cones; and, 2) "PORFIRIO'S MOLECULAR ICE CREAM" - served with cajeta Worcestershire sauce in an ice cream cone. (I know it sounds disgusting right? Nope it worked. The chef is just showing off with this dish)

I took some notes and this is what I thought of the dishes. Xoajacan Imoladas - The mole is perfection. The flautas, superb. Everything in this plate is a symphony of what I would expect from Xoajaca. 9.5/10 Barbacoa Bonemarrow - Barcacoa is on point. The Marrow is Sublime. Together with the accompaniments is superb. I dream of Marrow everyday. This is a 10/10 Yellow fin Tosatadas - Superb!!! One of the best tostadas I have ever had. The microgreens, the sauce and the square Tostada works well all together. 8.8/10 Salmon - Cooked perfectly. The corn is a great accompaniment. The fish is impeccably seasoned. This dish is heaven sent with a 9.8/10 Grilled Octopus - Grilled perfectly, I can tell by the texture. The mash is superb, they used margarine instead of butter and I absolutely love the contrast from the traditional mash. 9.8/10 Mexican Rice - Its pretty good. It does have a nice seafoodish finish. The pepper was actually spicy. Nice and pleasant rice dish. 8/10 Charred Avocado Salad - Grilled avocado is a bit of a wash. It did make it look good on the plate. The dressing is a little weak. Needs a little more zip, some citrus or vinegar would give this salad some justice. Its a little uninspired 7/10 Service is impeccable and attentive and the atmosphere is lovely.

But, after debating and reading some reviews, we decided to call (at 7pm) and see if La Buena Barra had any open tables for 7:30. Since Cancún dinner culture generally ramps up after 8, we were in luck and headed to the restaurant. We were warmly greeted by the host team and escorted promptly to a great table outside, overlooking the lagoon and the last bits of sunset in the sky. The ambience of La Buena Barra is amazing, great lighting, ceiling fans to keep a light breeze going, and music that is loud enough to prevent you from hearing conversations at other tables, but still allowed us to talk just fine. Our servers Jonathan and Estefany were the sweetest and most attentive that we experienced during our trip! Excellent food recommendations, even advising against getting a second dessert (due to their size) instead of just letting us spend more money there. Absolutely worthy of 5 star service! Ok- the food: very good, probably some of the more distinct flavors we enjoyed in Cancun. Also a very unique selection of cocktails, delivered in all sorts of unique glasses. BUT truly the best thing we ate was the corn ice cream! It's molded ice cream that looks exactly like an ear of white corn with a ribbon of dulce de leche in the center- honestly the best ice cream I've ever eaten at a restaurant! Prices per person can easily exceed $1000 pesos here depending on what you get, but it's possible to enjoy the experience on a budget. We shared an appetizer (empanadas, highly recommend), shared a large entree (ribeye tacos, comes with 7), a cocktail, side of corn, and dessert- ended up being around $1200 plus tip.
