Wine tours usually see some good and some bad in the venues you attend. For me, any winery that has a good port, serves beer or has another 'surprise option' generally gets high marks in my book. Enter Johnstons of Oakbank, and their sweet SWEEEEEET Cordials!
Yes, they make wine, and yes, they have stubbies of Cooper Pale on hand for the non-refined (like myself).....but I did not partake in a beverage of the amber variety! A gasp followed by stunned silence is upon you I am sure! For at the end of the wine tasting, out came the cordials and hyper Scott came out to play. Dillute 4 parts to one she said.....I laugh at your 4 parts to 1! Straight is the way a man, a very, very immature man, drinks his cordial!
Damn, they make a good drop! I particularly advise trying the Brown Lime and Fruit Cup varieties. They also make some freaky deeky flavours like Sasparilla and Clove...not a big fan personally but they got the Clove smack on.....bloody terrible, but smack on! read more
